hi nicole...i'm going to answer your questions best i can! : 1. I won't be wearing a veil - main reason isn't the weather, but it was one of the reasons! I have midlength curly hair, and would prefer to do something nice with this, and maybe put a flower in it. 2. I've seen pictures of the beach at mp, and many past guests on this forum have assured us all its not as bad as many make out on trip advisor. They have big trucks remove the seaweed everyday...it will still be gorgeous! 3. I've not heard anything about the bites - would be interesting to find out more.... 4. Betsy on this forum used the photographer at mp and her photos are really lovely. If you do a search you'll find them. We are getting an outside photographer, for many reasons. Our guests are flying all the way from scotland, so we want to have amazing photos from the full day. We also want a ttd session. 5. We are going for the free package...and going to add on the horse and carriage for us going to the gazebo, the cake will probably be from mp, we are going to source artificial flowers...worths out cheaper...then we will add on the cocktail hour and reception! hope this helps, even a little!

I think mp used to be really strict with outside photographers - as I know you can bring your own photographer as long as they are a "guest" at the hotel - ie they have a guest pass....but when i have contacted photographers for prices, I have been told the same as you a few times, so it must have been a rule back in the day - defo not - there are plenty of mp brides on here who have used outside vendors - don't worry! so who have you booked lady?

For us...we wouldn't....when we found out my mum was ill, we talked about changing the venue, to somewhere closer home...like cyprus. My mum passed away really quickly after this point...a matter of days...therefore we never had a chance to really discuss it. It was hard though, because we had put sooo much preparation into a mexican wedding. But like others have said, it depends on the relationship you have with your parents, and also what you want out of your wedding day - if you don't mind looking back and not having the memories of your parents being there, well its fine.

Hi, we were originally going to get married at Le Blanc - the plans at the time were only close family were coming - but we quickly changed our mind, and seen as Le Blanc is adult only, we changed to Moon Palace to accommodate all the under 18's coming now! But we are going to Le Blanc for our honeymoon - it just looks beautiful! Your wedding will be a dream - from what I looked into it, it will honestly be picture perfect!

CantWait! - going by what is listed on the website there is no sunset/sunrise cruises included - however there are many companies that do it for a price...personally, i'm going for it! it works out about $52 pp for the sunset cruise, but that includes booze and food....not bad me thinks

i was under the impression there was only one palace passport - but there is a minimum stay...not sure what it is, haven't had to look into this as we will be staying 2 weeks so defo will be entitled to it! will be interesting to know if there are different levels on it though!

we are also hoping to use claudia. i've only emailed her a few times, but she was quick to respond and really helpful.....oh i really hope that by the time i can book the wedding, she is still free! Has anyone booked their photographer BEFORE booking their wedding? i'm THIS close to doing that, to ensure i get her!

omg if i had told h2b i wanted to get engaged and when and where....he would have told me where to go! i don't imagine he would have stuck around for very long at all! no matter who gets engaged on your holiday....everyone is there for YOU! i'm the kind of person who hates attention....so i wouldn't personally mind if someone got engaged during our wedding week - but i do see where your coming from.
