  1. I got to thinking its almost been two months since our wedding at ROR. Have any of you brides received your marriage certificate. If so, when did you get married and when did it arrive? Who do you contact to find out where it is?? Chandlyn? Any info on this would be appreciated.
  2. If you are using Michael, I would suggest bringing an extra couple hundred dollars. He takes a lot of pictures (we had to wade through almost 500) and its hard to narrow down. You may want to upgrade your package a bit. Just a thought .
  3. Glad to hear your day went so well. Sounds like Chantelle goes above and beyond. Congratulations! You looked great.
  4. Has anyone that was married in January 2009 received their marriage certificate yet?? I have the paper piece that they give you at the ceremony but I have found it doesn't work to change much.
  5. I didn't have an issue either. We had our balcony door open quite frequently and I didn't find it too hot. You can request a quick rehersal to see how the ceremony goes. This is what I would recommend ceremony wise as the uncertainties of what to do kinda gave me some anxiety..*lol*.
  6. congrats!! the rest is smooth sailing. I found picking the hotel/getting everyone booked was the most stressful part.

Don't quote me on that cause this was over a year ago now but I'm pretty sure.
  8. Have an amazing time!! Take it all in on your wedding day as the day flies by!
  9. I both hair and makeup done at Renova. The girls keep you entertained and they did a wonderful job on both my MOH and myself. I paid for both of us to have our hair and makeup done and it was 300 USD. It is quite pricy. I had my hairdresser here do a trial for me. I was afraid that the girls there would not be as advanced as my hairdresser here but I found they actually did a better job. Here is a pic of my hair and makeup
  10. You need your passport and drivers license or birth certificate notorized (just need one of the two of those). I believe you may be able to scan the notorized copies to Chandlyn. I just sent them registered mail but several other brides just did it way ahead of their wedding and sent them regular mail.
  11. Here is my wedding cake!! Mine was chocolate with the strawberry stuff. It was actually really good and I am not a jelly person. It was the one with the free package but the cake topper was something I brought from home.

I did not originally book a package with Michael himself. I had booked the cheaper package with one of his assistants. When he showed up at my wedding, I asked him why i was soo lucky to have him do my photo's. His response was that if there are not many weddings requesting his services specifically that day and he is available then he will do some of the weddings. Hope this helps

You have a three month grace period to get your 10 people's deposit down and give them a confirmation number (to fully secure it, its held for a three month period). Try that and hopefully the prices will go down for you.
  14. Yup 20 kg's per person. We had a lot of trouble with this and are still disputing luggage charges as we were away for two weeks. My mom carried my dress on for me on the way there and I did on the way back. I had to store it in overhead cabin which was crappy on the way back as it was pretty full and sorta had to be crammed in Poor thing! We also carried on tuxes and they were ok with that. Not overly impressed with their services, we had a bunch of delays going (3hrs) and my family returning (5hrs). I wouldn't recommend this air line to anyone but maybe you will have better luck.
  15. Ours was about half an hour from start to finish. He does do a small prayer if you have the civil ceremony. We had our own vows in which we said as well as what he had but that was all we added to the ceremony.
  16. We took the transfer that was included in the package. It's a huge bus with enough space. Air conditioner was working full tilt which was good. Transfers don't seem as long as they actually are because you are looking at the scenery.

My advice to you in regards to tipping chandlyn, michael etc is to wait until their services are fully complete and give it exactly to them. I believe the tip I gave to Michael may have not gotten to him.
  18. There was three weddings the day I got married as well. It ended up working out pretty good for us cause they had too many to all fit in the Mammee Bay so we got to enjoy the use of the planatation for free. We had the same menu just a nicer place to have dinner. I also mingled a bit with one other bride about how her day was going and took a picture with them. I thought it was pretty cool. No worries girl, if you want things to be more private and just your day ..it can be. The Riu is a very large resort and you will probably not even notice the other brides there that day unless you choose to. Stop worrying and just enjoy your day!! Take it all in cause it goes very fast. Hope this helps

  20. Another date is a good idea. Why don't we wait until Kayte returns from her wedding then we can all compare pics and stories.
  21. i had booked just the regular snapper and was quite surprised and happy to see him taking my pictures. He explained to me that booking the head photographer package ensures him to be there incase there are several weddings that require the photoshop's services. If the photoshop is only doing one or two weddings that day, if he is there he will take the pictures.
  22. Congratulations! Great review. Sounds like you had a super time. Going in with the "no problem" attitude is key for making your day wonderful.
  23. My schedule went up the other day and unfortunately i am working...booo!! You ladies have a great time. I will do my best to make it to the next one forsure
  24. I had overcast for my wedding day but it was actually better as I wasn't too hot. With the overcast, its still fairly warm just not sunny. Ok for taking pictures too. We had 4 days of rain in our second week (jan25-31) with all the rain coming towards the beginning of the week.
