Great pics! I like the way you had the gazebo set. Looks like you had a super time. Very nice.

I planned on doing this no later than next week. Now I'm a little worried. We emailed the Riu to make sure that the date would still be available if we didn't do the confirmation for a month or two. They told us that they hold your date up 2-3 months. I hope everything is okay for me.

I wouldn't mind seeing them as well. I think I may prefer this over the gazebo. I want lots of flowers. [email protected] Thank you!! You're a peach.

Has anyone just done a dinner where you can order off the menu?? I have kind of a mixed group and some people may want steak and others may not. I would like for my guests to be able to choose what they would like to eat. Anyone know if this is possible??

Maybe there is somewhere in Ochy that sells cakes. Chandyln could go get it for you Not sure, ask her ..she seems to be pretty accomodating so she may be able to help. I would love to have chocolate cake..*lol* sounds funny in jamaica but I love chocolate cake

Hehe... there are tons of wonderful ROR brides who answered my questions since I joined. Plus I had some issues when I tried to reserve my date/time so both my TA and myself were in direct contact with a couple of the people at the RIU wedding headquarters. Now I'm happy to pass along any info I can : ) Well I have to say, you will be the most educated bride there is at the Riu..*lol*. There will be no worries on your wedding day. If you're back before I leave, you can let me know what to expect (if you don't mind).

I had a couple of my guests ask me if they could book with a different agent..it didn't matter to me, at least they could be there. We were talking to them yesterday and they told us Sell off Vacations is offering 2 week stay for 2300 a person. I thought this was a great deal. Guests that are worried more about price should look into these kind of options. All you would need is your flight number and date of arrival and they could coinside it.

This may sound a bit selfish but its your day, you should do what you want. If your guests want to be there, they will go to whatever resort you want no matter the price. There is always the option of them booking on their own (in that case you can wait a bit more till last minute and will get a better price). Lots of things to consider. I am booking with Apple Vacation (possibly) out of the states, you may want to check that out.

I say that you can't really worry, til there is something to worry about, and then if it happens you will figure it out:) omg..that would be pretty scary especially with kids. What did you guys have to do??

i had myself soo wound up it was unbelievable. My TA is amazing for putting up with me through that cause I was emailing almost every day. I have my date now so I am happy - the rest is all smoothe sailing.

Jamaicans live with hurricanes, and I'm sure the resort will be fantastic when you get there. Wow, I didn't realize that they were able to re-build that quickly. Dean was a major hurricane and to rebuild that fast makes me feel lots better. Thanks for your comments

For us girls getting married in 09, was just curious if anyone knew what would happen if there was a hurricane in say oct...would they have the place rebuilt in time?? Anyone ask their TA about this??
