  1. Thanks ladies I hope my TA can pull something off. We are willing to share a room (our room is booked) but we just need to get a flight. This is my MOH so I am really panicking!!
  2. hi all, Just wondering if anyone has tried to book flights from toronto for Jan 17-24 lately?? Is it all full?? I was looking on the sunquest site and it tells ya to pick another date. When you go to Riu site, it will allow you to choose a room. Does this mean flights are gone? If there is someone that has booked someone in say the last week from toronto, let me know pls or any input would be appreciated.
  3. I'm excited too..but no one else it too excited yet as we are still 4 months away. I just would like to get my dress (not expected till nov ..booo).
  4. 1 - your credit card is just to secure your wedding date. You may choose to pay in cash once you have your appt with Chandlyn. I am sure she will not care how you pay as long as you do. No charges should appear on your card without you knowing. 2 - there is tons of information in the Jamaica forum in regards to ROR. Try doing a search to find the items you want to know about. I don't believe there is a forum just for ROR though. 3- You can contact the co-ordinator if you wish. Booking things like your dinner and reception I would do earlier. Once again though, you will find a lot of the stuff you need to know via this site. The people are super and there is TONS of info. Good luck with your planning and congrats!
  5. I agree with everyone. Its all what you want it to be. I have been fairly lax with my planning as well. The things we are getting together before the wedding are favours (my mom is making them), music for ceremony and picnic at hotel night before we fly out and I believe that's it. We are going with just the basic set up for the wedding with some added rose petals and flowers (no chair covers, runners or any of that stuff). Free dinner and whatever following...possibly disco at 11. We found that the price of things can add up so its best if you start to find out costs of everything and see what you have to work with. You're in jamaica and things will be beautiful as is have fun with it..the idea of a destination wedding is to have fun with no stress!! Best wishes.
  6. Maybe you could do both dresses....one for ceremony and one for reception. The new dress is absolutely beautiful btw.

  8. I believe you can do a poolside one or rent the seagrape. Those are the options. I believe though the 250/hour might have been a misprint.
  9. Glad to hear you're okay. Just think of it as little added excitement. Keeping our fingers crossed for ya that there are no more hurricanes.
  10. I bumped the cocktail menu thread for you so you can look. A bunch of girls were just talking about this last week I believe.

You dont want to be out of luck. Plus if it rains I want to crash your party Doesn't appear as though you will be crashing my festivities..*lol* unless I win a damn lottery. Disco is 250 per hour now for 2009. I might get it for 1 hour but I don't see 2.
  12. Has anyone gone to the rent the disco for 2009?? The email I received from chandlyn is as follows "As per your query should you book the disco and decide to cancel this can be done at our meeting when you get to the resort. The cost for next year i uS250 per hour." Holy Crap!! 250 per hour?
  13. I received an email from her this morning. I had emailed a question plus asked her to let me know how the island and people were doing after Gustav. She said everything was fine.
  14. Be patient. It could be due to Gustav hitting...things may be a little caotic down there right now.
  15. Ours is gonna go as follows 1pm Ceremony 2-3 pm Pictures 3-6 pm Pool time or free time 6-9 pm Dinner/cocktails 9-? Dancing at disco
  16. Mine is booked at Mammee Bay. I just sent her an email and she was fairly quick to respond. She has been good about most things considering how many brides she has to take care of.
  17. I received an email from Tai Floral so everything must be ok. Email is working so thats a good sign. Gustav didn't get them too bad!!! Stay safe MsasFraz
  18. He he..that is kinda cool..we would be in heaven if we could do something like that! Would be just like at home in our pool
  19. *lol* we will probably just load up our "Bubba Kegs" and take them to dinner with us. Classy bunch eh?
  20. It would be a great option but I believe its too pricey for me. Booooo!!! Thanks for the post..you're a peach!!!
  21. If you could post that menu here?? that would be super
  22. Who says you're crashing my wedding festivities *lol* That will be $10 a head...*lol* just kidding I will look into it. I might see if she will tell me how many wedding there are that day..*lol*. I am trying to stay on my budget here...things add up! We have an older group as well.
