  1. Struggling the feeling that my mother-in-law to be is feeling unappreciated and left out. Just curious how much you girls involved your in-laws in the planning of the wedding or any important events? What did you involve them in if they were involved? Help..thoughts and experiences please.
  2. Yup, that sounds like paradise. I am sure you will have an amazing time. I found the dominican people a lot of fun when I was there. You'll have a blast!
  3. *lol* your age doesn't matter ..you just need to know all the information about where u were born and some of your parents history. It was really easy. https://www.orgforms.gov.on.ca/eForm....do?eformsId=0
  4. This is what we are here for Yes, you can do it online. It's actually the form filled out by your mom.
  5. hey ya, *lol* maybe they accept bribes. Its gonna be one big canadian party at Riu Gotta love it.
  6. *Lol* hey now, be nice...I am looking out for you too .*lol* At that hour, I will be lucky to get my dress to the airport and on the plane.
  7. You must be soo excited!! All that planning and the day is almost here You will have an absolutely blast. Let me know about your dress and skyservice as well, we are flying with them and I know I will be sharing the plane/wedding day with Christenew (kinda exciting sharing your day and experience with someone close by). I was hoping they might hang my dress for me? I didn't see anything on the website.
  8. Yup long copy birth certificate and passport or drivers license (i did passport). It was a fairly painless process and was done in the same day for me I'm now anxiously waiting for my dress to arrive (beginning of Nov) and working on my cd for the ceremony. After that I just need to do my hair trial but I may do that in Dec.

My guests are booked at courtyard mariott for $99.00 and that includes our parking (for the week). Ours was a bit more $159 as we are gonna be away the second week. My travel agent arranged this for us. Even with the stay over in Toronto we still need to be at the airport for around 4am. Yikess....that is an early start to the day!!!
  10. Meh, just a small blunder..no biggie. The post office seemed to think they would be there in time if I sent them just registered so that's what I did.
  11. All you January 2009 Jamaica brides getting excited yet? What does everyone have left to do? I just sent my notorized documents to jamaica today via registered mail. Its starting to feel real. Now on to the dress....exciting!!!
  12. Keep in mind too the disco is kind of pricey for 2009. chandlyn quoted me 250 per hour.
  13. Will probably just be an ordinary day at the resort for me. Some pool and bars drinks, hanging out with friends and fam. My plan is to watch a couple weddings during the week (we arrive on a sat and wedding is on thurs so should be easy ) before my wedding so I know what goes on .
  14. There is a golf course close by I think at the Sandals (which is I believe right next door). I looked into this as well as we have some golfers in our group not sure on pricing though.
  15. I did it via lawyer too but mine was free as my aunt works for him I will also be sending them via registered mail so I know when they arrive in Jamaica. I will be attaching a note to Chandlyn to email me when they arrive. Just in case though, I had two copies of each made so I will have originals with me when I arrive.
  16. It needs to get there one month in advance. I am not too sure how long it takes to get there though. I just got my stuff notarized today
  17. You must be getting soo excited! 39 Days really isn't too long. got everything pretty much ready?? paperwork, dresses etc.

  20. Thanks ...I am getting quite excited indeed..only 4 months to go!! I think when the wedding dress gets here ..that's when it will set in...I am actually getting married..what the hell am i doing?? *lol* just kidding. Best of luck with your group as well. It's your wedding day..enjoy it girl. Things are as they are and everything always works itself out. You will get down there and meet a ton of people and have a blast..I guarantee you!!
  21. Must be the year of destination weddings eh. April and the resort is booked Holy snappin. We struggled there to get the last 3-4 booked...sent me into a tailspin..Ack! Your best party may just be your "gong show". My advice...a mini bridezilla...*lol*.get up everyone's butt to get booked or have your TA let them know things are going and fast.... sometimes the TA's influence can help The deal I think is just getting a flight and room :PP Does he have a BM chosen at all or they are just not booked as of yet
  22. Thanks for your advice and well wishes. Well here is the end to the saga...there are 14air spaces left...no room space. What we ended up doing was securing the flight and added her to our room. TA is gonna watch to see if some rooms may open up, if that's the case then we'll get her a room. I am just relieved we found a way to get here there Sounds like its gonna be a full house ladies!! That should make for a fun time!
  23. Us too...we are staying ROR for two weeks. Some excursions and play time for us
