  1. It depends who your wedding website provider is. Ours is weddingwindow.com and they have an option to buy a DVD disc of your webpage so that you will have it forever along with your other wedding keepsakes. Pretty cool!
  2. So we just booked our snorkeling excursion, and we actually went through Cancun Catamarans! So far they have been great work with and I just know our guests are going to love it. Here is the main info, I sent this in an email to those guests that I figured would want to go: Hello there! I have some very exciting news...we have finally planned out and finalized our Snorkeling Excursion, and it is going to be AWESOME! We found a wonderful company called Cancun Catamarans, and they have really "hooked us up"! Check out their website...it's Cancun Catamarans, Cancun Catamaran Tours, Cancun Sailing, Sailboats in Cancun, Yachts and Deep Sea Fishing Charters.. Anyway, below is the scoop: The Snorkeling Excursion will be on Saturday, May 23 (day before the wedding) and will last from 10 AM until 2 PM. We will meet in the lobby of the Hilton Cancun Resort at 9:30 AM for check in. We will have our own PRIVATE CHARTERED 48-foot Catamaran. It will include (for all guests that will be attending the excursion): Round Trip Private Transportation from the Cancun Hilton, Open Bar, Bathrooms onboard, Nice Sound Systems (for music and dancing if you like), Snorkeling and gear, Spinnaker Sail (Parasail), and a full crew just for us (Bartender, Ship driver, and snorkeling guides). Also, we get discounts at different bars and things like that for booking through Cancun Catamarans! Open Bar: Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Rum Punch, Juices, Sodas, Bottled Water, Cold Beer and more. Dry Snacks: Assorted Chips You can also bring anything else you like. Description of the boat: "The Catamaran 48' "Next Wave" is a 40 pax Catamaran. This Catamaran is totally flat and great for parties. Small sitting area towards the back for 10-18 pax. It can be seen on our video on the Contact Us page. Cancun, Cancun Catamarans, Snorkeling, jungle tours, speed boat tours, Catamarans, sailing & day trips. She is perfect for wedding parties." Price: Only $50 per person! This is about as much as it costs through other companies to just go snorkeling with a bunch of strangers, with no fun stuff included...we are getting a GREAT deal. Please mail your checks to us and we will put you on the list. Trust me, we have gone snorkeling a few times in Cancun, and this is by farthe best deal we have found yet...we are getting so much for the amount it costs, for 4 hours of fun! Snorkeling:The normal snorkel time is around 90 minutes worth, and the rest would be cruising around the beautiful sea, drinking, having fun and carrying on, but we can choose to snorkel for as long as we'd like! We got an absolutely amazing deal on this excursion and I think it will be one of the highlights of the trip! Parasailing: In the attached pics you will see the Spinnaker Sail, aka a small Parasail. This is AWESOME that its included!!! It doesn't go as high as a "normal" parasail, but it will definitely be just as fun for those of you with an adventurous side who want to enjoy it!
  3. Hi Megan! (I know I just PM'd you this but I wanted others who might be interested to see it as well) I used Rob Bryan with Rob Bryan Photography robbryanphotography.com ...and I just got my BD photos done on Saturday/Sunday...and I must say...you MUST use Rob Bryan...not only is he an amazing photographer, but such an amazing person too. He's based out of Dallas but will travel to Austin, (or San Antonio if you want). I did my BD shoot in Austin and I'm thinking about doing another one here in SA with him, but he told me he took over 1,700 photos so now I'm not sure if we'll need to! He's SUPER inexpensive for the kind of work he does. I had about 15 outfit changes, we shot for two days in about 5different locations...so I got a ton of variety and it was so cheap I still can't believe it. I did a TON of research before deciding, and I am so thankful I chose to go with Rob. I don't have any teasers back yet (He did send a ton of proofs for me to pick from but they have not been edited so I won't post them yet) to show you but trust me his work is beautiful. He's very creative and has good ideas. And he puts you so at ease...overall it was just a wonderful experience. I would at the bare minimum email him at [email protected] to get a price quote for what you want. Also...you can visit his website, but he's working on a new and improved website that should be up sometime soon. If you do contact him, let him know that I referred you please (no, I don't get anything for doing that but I would love for him to know that I'm trying to send business his way). Good luck and let me know what you decide to do! Jessica
  4. Every time we have gone snorkeling in Cancun/RM area we have gone through Best Day tours Mexico Hotels, Mexico Travel Destination Guide, Mexico Vacations. They are wonderful and have great customer service! We are also trying to plan a snorkeling excursion for about 20-30 of our guests and I plan on trying to go through them if possible!
  5. I'm back and I survived!! My eyes didn't even water up! Not going to lie, it definitely did hurt! However, my waxer told me that it hurts the worst your first time because hairs are being pulled out that have never been before. She also said the first time it will tend to grow back more quickly, but if you keep doing it then eventually it takes a lil bit longer to grow back. I was a lil red/sensitive afterwards, but that went away the next morning. She also said no working out afterwards. It also lasted a little longer than I had anticipated, but again she said the first time takes a little longer than the second, third, etc. OH and another thing I was not expecting (For whatever reason) was plucking! Just like when you get your eyebrows waxed and they go back afterwards and pluck those stubborn hairs - well they do that at the Brazilian too, and for someone who has never plucked down there, this was a big, and kind of awkward/strange, surprise! The downside is that those hairs will grow back first and will feel "prickly" (they already kind of do), where as all the hairs that were waxed off are just gone and your skin is smooth in those areas! So, although it hurt like hell, I will be going back in a month!
  6. OMG ladies I am SO scared/nervous! I am getting my first ever Brazilian tonight! I wanted to get it last week as a Valentine's surprise for FI, but I had Aunt Flow in town so I couldn't I have a feeling its going to hurt a LOT and I'll probably tear up/cry, because my eyes water when I just get my eyebrows waxed! Yikes! Hopefully, if all goes well today, I will get another one in a month, right in time for my BD shoot! I will post tomorrow and let y'all know how it goes. Wish me luck, I have a feeling I'm going to need it!
  7. I have been working with Andrea from Euforia. I basically just told her what I wanted, then she sent me price quotes and pictures of the types of flowers she could get. Compared to other florists I think she is comprable, if not on the inexpensive side. I don't have my quote in front of me, but my bouquet of roses and liles is $80, Bridesmaid bouquets are $50, and bouts are $10-$15. We are getting four centerpieces at about $80 each. Total, I think we are spending about $900 in flowers, which is not that bad. She requires a 50% of the total cost for deposit to save your date. She will also send mock up photos of your bouquets if you want, after you have sent in the deposit. Hope that helps! I have a question to everyone...what did you guys serve at cocktail hours? What foods/beverages? (Or, what are you planning on serving at your cocktail hour?) I'm having a hard time figuring this one out, and all of the options just seem sooo expensive! Thanks ladies!!
  8. Warning: Explicit content Hey! So I'm very sad because I scheduled my first ever Brazilian for Thursday, February 12 (perfect timing, right before Valentine's Day!), and found out last night that i'm going to be on my period then! And I read somewhere that obviously you shouldn't do it during that time of the month, especially becaues if you did it would hurt more. So I really wanted to have it done by then though....and I'm wondering how long the hair needs to be in order to be waxable? Is it 1/4 inch? I'm wondering because I want to reschedule for this weekend, if possible, but have only stopped shaving for less than a week and I don't know if it will be enough growth by then. What do you ladies think?
  9. I know that discount mugs also does personalized shot glasses. Here is the link: Personalized Shot Glasses | Custom Shot Glasses | Custom Printed Shot Glasses I want to do personalized shot glasses to go in my OOT bags, but my fear is travelling with them. How do you keep them safe and from breaking??
  10. Hey ladies! Just wanted to check in - what are you working on this month? I'm working on (February): -Invitations -Trying to find a rehearsal dinner location and menu -Registries (We've only done 1 so far) -Finding FI an outfit, and his GMs -Starting to figure out OOT bags -Getting my ass in the gym 4 days a week and trying to eat healthier! -Working on ceremony script Things I've just accomplished (in January): -I finally booked a BD photog, and will be doing my first shoot March 28so I only have 2 months to get really in shape! Ahh!! -Ordered BM dresses -Booked a florist (and finally decided on my flowers) Less than 4 months to go!
  11. So the other day I tried Level 2 for the first time! So hard, and I thought Level 1 was difficult! I've only done it once, but my calves are killing me! Getting excited to do more tonight possibly! Good luck!
  12. Yes, I think that DJ Mannia's deal is the best you will find. And he's gotten great reviews so you can rest assured that you will be getting a fabulous product for the money. We are going through Euforia for flowers...Fernanda had sent me a few different vendors, including Planner1 at one point, and the most recent one she had put me in contact with was Euforia...which, so far, has been great to work with! I'm kind of nervous to see the finished product, but I am crossing my fingers that they will be beautiful!

New growth after only a week? I thought it was supposed to last much longer. Does this mean that after a week you either have to start shaving again or go get another wax? How long do people typically wait in between waxings? I'm thinking about getting my first Brazilian done next month and I'm super nervous!!
  14. So I have officially booked my BD photographer and so far he has been great to work with! He has a really great and creative vision for my BD Book for FI. He is also relatively inexpensive, or at least he is definitely the cheapest out of all the photogs I was considering. His name is Rob Bryan Boudoir Photography Austin Dallas. I'm doing 2 or 3 shoots total...the first in Austin March 28th, possibly a follow up round on March 29th, and then a shoot here in San Antonio on April 11. 3 shoots, plus the BD book, for $500. I am so excited! If anyone still needs a BD photog around those same dates then we can definitely share! PM me if you are interested!
  15. Thanks so much for posting...your pics are AMAZING! I'm so glad to see them too, because I have booked Citalli for our wedding and I haven't seen many reviews yet on her or her work. Does anyone know if she speaks fluent English?
  16. I haven't decided on invites yet, but I am leaning towards using davidsbridal.com. They have a good destination invitation section, and the invites I want to use are great...and are also sold at invitationsbydawn, but are sold for less at davidsbridal.com. Plus, when you order online, you get 20% off. Can't beat that!

All I have to do is buy the hard back book (around $100). OMG who is your photog? I'd love to contact her, and maybe possibly even use her! I'm in Texas too so that might be a possibility (and a huge $$ saver) for me!!
  18. Happy Hello's! I am starting to research BD photogs, as I need to have mine done in April. I'm really confused about how much is "normal" to charge for a 1-2 hour session. The photog I'm looking at right now is charging $700 ON SALE. That just seems like a TON of money...and that doesn't even include a book - you just get the rights to the digital pictures! Could you guys please post how much you paid for your whole BD experience (how much the photographer charged, how much it was to buy a BD book from them, or how much it cost to make your own, etc.)? Thanks so much!
  19. Welcome Kelly! I am so glad to see that you have joined the forum - WELCOME!! Chicagogirl - Did you ever end up going on the site visit? How was it? Do you have pics?? Oh, and I thought I would post this link for anyone who hasn't already seen Opice's PRO pics from Elizabeth Medina...it looks like she had a BEAUTIFUL wedding!! Elizabeth Medina Photography Blog Archive Shannon and Jeff’s Destination Wedding, The Hilton, Cancun, Mexico Enjoy!!
  20. Hey! So maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but on Exercise TV I haven't been able to watch her INTRO to the program. How long are you supposed to do Level 1 before you move to Level 2? FI and I tried Level 1 last night, and we both got a great workout! My calves hurt today (Again)! We're not really utilizing it the way its been to be used (for the full 30 days, every single day), but I'm using it in replacement of workouts when I don't feel like going to the gym, and I feel like its a great workout!
  21. Hey Memorial Day Weekend Ladies! Only 4.5 months left until the big day! So I need some advice... How early are you sending out your invitations? When are you requesting to have the RSVPs back by? Right now I am desperately trying to hurry up and figure out invitation stuff, and I have no idea what to do! I can't even figure out my invites wording!! HELP!!!!
  22. Hey ladies! Would anyone be interested in doing a BD photo shoot marathon and splitting costs with me in San Antonio, TX or in Austin, TX? I have yet to find a photographer, and I would love if anyone knows of someone. I work for Hyatt so either here in SA or in Austin I could get a hotel room to do the BD shoot in for cheap! My wedding is late May, so I would like to do it in April, but could do March if I had to. Let me know if any one is interested!
  23. So I tried the first part of the video a week or two ago. I am not in the best shape right now, but I'm also not hugely overweight or anything like that. This was SO hard! The lunges are what really got to me I think! I was using 5 lb. hand weights and struggled! My thighes and calves hurt more than they ever have for a full 3 days (maybe more!) afterwards! Due to the excessive pain (I am pathetic, I know), I took a week off, but I am going to try to start up my 30 Day Shred again this week...wish me luck!!! All I know is that if it hurts, it means its working so I def have faith in this program!
  24. Hello! First of all - where are you from in KS? I was born and raised in KS, and two years ago moved to south Texas, but I miss it every day...I'll be home for Xmas though, and I hear its been snowing! Anyhow, WELCOME to the Hilton Cancun forum! It is seriously such an awesome resort, I think you will love it! We are all here to help each other out and answer questions, so ask away! As far as budget, everyone's budget typically is different. It really depends on the size of your wedding. We are having a small, intimate gathering of no more than 40 guests (it will probably be around 30)...and the entire budget for our wedding is $30K (not including honeymoon in that number). BUT, thats just us. Some people have a lot larger weddings for the same amount, and some for a lot more. And then you hear about people that have great destination weddings for under $10K. You should just set a budget that is realistic for you, and try to stick to it. Hilton is good at accomodating weddings on practically any budget! There are also a bunch of budget threads on this site...I would search for "Budgets"...here is one big thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t933 Hope that helps!
