I got married at Dreams Cabo July 12th. I used Marianna at Dreams as my WC and she was awesome. I can't say enough good about her. And if you reserve 5 rooms, or a suite for 5 days (I think that's correct) her services are included. I see no need to get an outside coordinator! Have fun planning. We'll be there when you get married, because our entire group decided to go back for our first anniversary!!!

Dreams Cabo Review - July 12th

I just put together a quick slideshow and posted it on Facebook. This is just from my camera that someone was using. I'll have my pro pics next week from Peter. Let me know if this works.... http://www.facebook.com/photos.php?i...?id=1290155183 -
LOCATION: Dreams, Cabo on the beach. An incredible place! DATE: Saturday, July 12th TIME: Sunset (Ceremony started at 7:00) Perfect time. GUESTS: 20 total. DRESS: Casual and everyone was barefoot. WEDDING PARTY: Just the two of us and the ring bearer. WEDDING COORDINATOR: Marianna at Dreams MINISTER: John Fagan. Perfect. Nice words and a surprise sand ceremony. PHOTOGRAPHER: Peter Hatton. Wonderful man! Cross between Sean Connery and Michael Caine. We absolutely loved him! VIDEOGRAPHER: Came with Peter. Juan?? CEREMONY MUSIC: Hired by Marianna...Guitar and Violin. So Perfect. FLOWERS: Provided by Mariana. Beautiful spring mix bouquet. Rose petals on the walk. RECEPTION: Oceana Terrace, next to the quiet pool. Beautiful. Appetizers and dinner was wonderful. Serving staff was incredible. No one ever had an empty glass! The only thing extra I paid for was the hanging round luminaries. The table setting was gorgeous, but I supplied none of it. ENTERTAINMENT: Fire Dancers. Big hit with our guests!! CAKE: Provided by Mariana. Served individually, not whole. RECEPTION MUSIC: My ipod...Rented Dreams speakers. Perfect. ROOMS: We had a honeymoon suite on the 6th floor and it was absolutely beautiful, with great views off the two balconies. Two refrig's were kept stocked with water and sodas every day. Some suites have 2 bathrooms! WEATHER: Prediction was "scattered thunderstorms all weekend" but we never had any. It was absolutely beautiful all weekend. Occasional tiny drizzles felt great in the 90+ degree sun. TRANSPORTATION: We just grabbed cabs or vans when we needed them, even at the airport. They're everywhere and easy to get. GUEST GIFTS: I didn't do OOT bags. Too much to think about (and pack). I figured everyone brought their own travel stuff anyway. Instead, we bought all the women (9) gift certificates to the spa, which gave the men a chance to do their own "guy" thing. Everyone was happy! DREAMS SPA: All of the women (and one of the men) in our group had at least one spa treatment, and everyone was happy. It's very nice. TOWN: If you go into Cabo San Lucas, be sure to eat at Mi Casa. Incredible place. For lunch and drinks in town, The Office is great; HOWEVER, one person in our group got food poisoning there. He had the beef nachos. Everyone else had fish tacos and no one got sick. SURPRISES: The walk down the wooden path is longer than I had thought, which was great. When I got to the spot, I noticed that all my guests were waiting in their seats with glasses of champagne. Mariana and a few servers had several bottles chilled in buckets right there on the beach! I absolutely LOVED that! Everyone was so relaxed and smiling. When he said "kiss the bride", my husband dipped me! Everyone loved it! After dinner, cake and a few dances, my husband picked me up and jumped in the pool. When we came up laughing, the entire group went in, one or two at a time, with all their clothes on! It was so awesome and so refreshing. (the pools are warm). I recommend it highly! Later we all gathered in the bar in our bathrobes and wet hair for a nightcap! We got a lot of stares until everyone heard what had happened! Then there were cheers and high 5's all around! When we got to our room that night, there were lit candles all over the floor, soft music playing, rose petals and a beautiful swan made of towels on the bed, and a chilled bottle of champagne. Nice! The biggest surprise of all was how relaxed I was, and how I was able to "be present" all night. Every single thing was better than I imagined, and I took it all in. Marianna was just the best, and I had never even spoken to her except thru emails!! Or the minister or photographer for that matter! Our whole group was swimming (and doing belly shots on the swim-up bar) all day until 5:00 when it was time to start getting dressed for the wedding! No stressing. Mariana just took control of all the details! I just can't think of anything I would change. I hope all of you have as wonderful a time as we did. Just relax and BE there. I'm trying to post a couple of pics for now, but I its not working! Help?

Don't worry! We got married at Dreams Cabo last Saturday. The weather said "scattered thunderstorms all weekend". We never had one! And the clouds that occasionally drifted over made for some absolutely incredible pictures. It was still 90 degrees, and the occasional light drizzle that did come down felt awesome. Rain in July in Cabo is not like rain anywhere else. IT WILL BE FINE. Relax and enjoy yourself!!

Two weeks before our wedding, I "kidnapped" my fiance after work, drove to the airport and hopped on a plane to Vegas. When we got there, I had a limo waiting to drive us to the Clerk's office (which is open until midnight there) and in 15 minutes, we had our license. Then a quick ride over to the Graceland Wedding Chapel and we were married with Elvis! It was hysterical. We didn't exchange rings, said some generic vows, and had the legal part behind us. It was a really fun evening, but definitely not our REAL wedding. That was in Cabo last Saturday. Moral....Don't include anyone else. Just the two of you for that part. That way it won't feel like you had 2 weddings.

I've been using Mariana at Dreams (wedding is this Saturday) and she has been incredible! For Dreams brides, I don't know why anyone would need to go outside of the hotel for a coordinator. Our contact has been strictly thru emails, and she's quick to respond. She gave me lists of recommended vendors, and I contacted the photographer and minister myself, just because it was so easy to email them. She arranged for the musicians and fire dancers. They all know her and are coordinating with her. She emailed me all the food choices, decoration and entertainment options, etc., with the prices printed on them. She also helped me with some last minute room switching. I'll write a review when I get back, but so far, she has been awesome!

Kristen's Dreams Los Cabos Wedding Review

Did you have your reception at Oceana Terrace? I'm wondering what to do for music. We have 20 guests also, and I think a D.J. might be overkill. I'm thinking of just using an ipod and renting their equipment. Thanks for sharing! -
What would you do if you got an email like this?
cndisue58 replied to kate.com's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
Smile and say "sure, that's absolutely fine with us". Don't sweat the small stuff. It is a big expense and you can't blame them for wanting to make a "vacation" out of it. As long as people show up at your wedding, who cares what they do with the rest of their week? Be happy they think enough of you to join you on your big day. -
Very, very nice!

Help Me Decide- Sand Ceremony
cndisue58 replied to Martha's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Yep....they're both great, so it just depends on where you plan to keep it in your home. I think the taller one would be my choice...just has kind of symbolic look to it. Just take plenty of bubble wrap! -
Any Ideas for the Ring holder?
cndisue58 replied to Twinkiez's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
How about a sand pail & shovel .... with the ring tied to the shovel!! A two year old could totally pull that off adorably!
