  1. Well my family always opens all of our presents on Christmas Eve & just open the stuff in the stockings the next day (the Christmas lunch starts at 1pm-ish, so nobody needs to rush). We've always done it this way, so it wouldn't feel the same opening things in the morning. The tradition that I love most though started last year when my husband was in & out of the hospital with his cardiac issues last Fall. He wasn't able to work for about a month & a half & $$ was tight, so we went to a mall with $25 each & had 2 hours to shop for each other. And we couldn't go one cent over the $25. It was so much fun, because I kept stalking him in the bookstore waiting for him to leave, so I could shop there. The best part was when we told the stories of where we went & why we purchased what we did. It was so much fun that we're doing it again this year (& hopefully for years to come!)
  2. I'm a bit embarassed to say that I watched this hour long advertisement for her new album. I could say alot about the show, but I'll start with just these two points: 1. I like that this "candid" interview didn't even touch on her meltdown. "Everyone shaves their head." Um, no they don't, whack job. Do they think that if they DON'T mention drugs, that we'll just think that's typical behavior? (now, I clearly wasn't expecting any GOOD stuff to come out of this documentary, but a girl can dream, can't she?) 2. Who the hell is doing Madonna's plastic surgery. Her cheeks look like a puppet that used to be on the Muppet Show! discuss
  3. i'm hoping to get it for christmas, so if you ladies start chatting about it, I'll take a hiatus from here until I can catch up. Now, does anyone care that High Pitch Mike came out of the closet? I know I don't. He's right up there with Ralph & Eric the Midget as my most annoying Stern show contributors.
  4. they are very cute & so economical!
  5. I LOVE that they called Ronnie his Great-grandfather. ANd the fact that the person didn't think twice made it more hilarious. Oh, I love when they discuss parties, it's the best. ANd Howard going off on Belzer....wow! good for him, though. It did sound like a dicky move by Belz. Am I alone in the fact that I like Ham Hands Bill? His voice & speech pattern crack me up!
  6. Bless her fiance's heart, that laugh makes me want to shove something sharp in my ears. If only there was a procedure (like de-barking a dog) that could take that laugh away.
  7. I love Sarrento's on the Beach. How nice!
  8. this girl sounds so immature. They'll make a great couple. Sorry this dragged up so many hard feelings for you.

  10. melibane- We used the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel & it was very economical compared to the Sheratan (located next door). It is a 3 minute walk to Whaler's Village & a cozy, family oriented hotel. It's not as modernized as the Hyatt or Marriott, but we received no complaints & I would go back again in a heartbeat!
  11. you HAVE to check out the pics! They're great! Yes, god forbid someone brings up a topic before Robin. They'll feel her wrath!
  12. I've been a Robin defender for a long time now (I know sooo many people who can't stand her), but I've officially crossed the line into the "can't stand her" territory. I won't go into specifics (don't want to start a political thing, because I hate when people on boards do that), but if I hear her or Fred talk politics one more time I may shove a letter opening in my ear. I consider myself a pretty moderate person, politically, but when those 2 get on a tangent, they won't even let anyone else talk. I tried to look up Robin's Wrong (that website), but nothing new has been posted in a year. I used to like that site, it's a shame it's not being updated. She really did HATE being called out on something. On funnier topics, did anyone else see the pics of Eric on the Stern website. The picture of him longingly looking at Dianna D. is priceless!
  13. Jac- You're not alone. I voted McCain & am proud to say it.

It just all reeks of a publicity stunt to me. But maybe I'm a bit jaded.
  15. straight from their website: Deanna & Jesse.com Did anyone think this "love-in" was going to last?
  16. ok, am I the only one who was disappointed in Eric's appearance? I should have known better, but I wanted him to be more confrontational, like his usual crabby self. I am impressed that Howard got Dianna DiGarmo (or however you spell it) to come in, though.
  17. damn time change. We don't change here in AZ, so I'm off. Crap, I need to hear that little midget!
  18. THE AMAZING RACE - "Welcome to New Zealand, I'm Phil's dad" Best line of the show....ever! We love Phil! And I always love the trainwrecks known as The Bachelor/The Bachelorette.
  19. remember to the the photocorners that have the adhesive already on them. I never use the ones that I have that don't have them.....I lack patience.
  20. morgan- you can go to Joann's or Michaels & buy just plain ol' white (or other color) cards n a pack. Just get some photo corners & voila> you can run the card throught the printer or even handwrite on the inside. I make my own cards (but the more scrapbooking/stamping kind) & can tell you where to go for the good deals/coupons.
  21. The Kapalua Resort may have something as well, not as busy as Lahaina & Ka'anapali. I never ate there, but it might be an option.
