  1. I am very thankful each & every day to live in this great country. Thank you to all the men & women (past, present & future) who have served her.
  2. I like the 1st one, but then again, I am having a wedding in Hawaii. I wouldn't use it for Mexico.

Its just it irritates the snot outta me to see Nick and Phyl walking around all crazy in love when it started out the way it did. Its like they are being rewarded for being ho's. lol ha ha! I hear what you're saying, but I love Phyllis & Nick together. I have never been able to stand Sharon.....this dislike goes back to when they first got together in the early 90's. And, they do need to utilize Cane's "assets" more.
  5. Just bummed, because the last time I was in Honolulu (1997) I remember using Bank of America everywhere. I guess we'll just get travellers checks.

  7. Holy crap. Did you know that there are no Bank of America or Chase ATMs in Hawaii? We just did searches for the banks that we deal with in AZ & nada.....no ATMs for those banks. I'm shocked.....2 of the largest banks in America & no branches in Hawaii?!?! Maybe I did my search wrong, but I would be happy to learn in I am wrong about this.
  8. We're not having a bridal party. There will only be around 20 people at the wedding &, for us, it seemed silly to have what would be 25% of the attendees in our bridal party. Most of our closest friends will be there anyway, so we don't feel like we're missing out on anything.
  9. i wonder what it could be. we're dying here!
  10. I'm a year & 1/2 older than my FI & it's never been an issue. Sometimes I call him "Ashton".
  11. we aren't having a rehearsal dinner. We don't even have anything formally planned right now, but we'll probably arrange for drinks by the beach during the nightly torch lighting ceremony at the hotel.
  12. very wierd, but it's so nice to have the windows open for one last weekend. We won't be able to do this again until late October!
  13. Our office is closing at 1pm, and I have done nothing today but hang out on here. And now I'm going to be heading to the gym. I'm blaming my lack of concentration on the rain.
  14. we've got another one addicted!

Figure in a nice beach and a pretty dress and I'm in total heaven. But I don't think that's so much a matter of age. More of a different set of priorities, and I think you'll find that lots of destination brides have similar priorities. Perfectly said! I couldn't agree more.
  16. Car accident?? Do you folks get Soap Opera Digest? It wasn't on the preview for today's episode. I need to get in the loop!
  17. great Friday funny. thanks for making me smile.
  18. I'm not exactly at the age you're asking about, but I'll be just shy of 33 when we tie the knot & I think the older you are, the less focused you are on "the show". The brides on here are more of an exception, because by choosing a destination rather than local wedding you seem to be a bit more relaxed/less into the "pagentry" of the big wedding production.....I don't know if I'm making sense. It just seems Destination brides in general don't focus on the small stuff so much....get carried away by the details that really son't matter in the long run....you know? I hope I'm making sense.
  19. I generally make our "everyday" mashed potaotes with cream cheese & a small bit of butter......mmmmmm. I agree with the earlier post about wasabi mashed. Unfortunately, my FI doesn't care for as much wasabi as I do, so I rarely make that anymore.
  20. I spend a good deal of time entering passenger manifests for our airport transfers & my coworker & I constantly shout out the funny names (and usually in whatever accent best suits the name.....yes, we're going to hell). It's the little things that get me through my workday. Jose Cuervo is awesome!!!!
  21. I love this post! My FI & I totally have grocery Rage! What's with people who can't say excuse me, pardon me, or even acknowledge when they cut you off or hit you or your cart (or something similarly rude). I swear, manners have just gone away. makes me want to do this
  22. I hear you. It was 108 about 3 days ago & it's currently 55 degress out here (although I am LOVING the rain....I'm one of those odd people who LOVES it when it rains here) Kooky, kooky weather!
  23. Just an update so the ladies cursing us in AZ don't feel so bad.....right now it's 55 degrees. Talk about a temperature swing!
