  1. Welcome Tara! Glad you're here. P.S. There are a LOT of great smilies on here:
  2. Maura, LOVE your earrings! Becks, what a beautiful bouquet! Ladies, I'm sure there's a search thread about this, but I'm lazy since my coffee hasn't kicked in yet . My flowers are coming from a florist in Hawaii, but I'm looking for a gardenia to wear in my hair (not a real one as it'd droop) like Mauras. Maura, I see that your florist isn't accepting new orders for weddings this summer. Does anyone know where I can look for a realistic looking hairppiece?

Only myself and like 3 others thought it was funny That's awesome!

I didn't include RSVP cards in mine mainly because our wedding will be so small & we already know who's coming. I figured why add more paper to the landfill.
  6. I printed ours (at work) on the laser printer (shhhh, don't tell my boss). They turned out great. I was afraid of the inkjet smearing, so that's why I did it the way I did. Tip for you if you use a laser....print the side with the "barcodes" first..... I learned that the hard way.

We're going to put bottles of water in them for most people (my dad will have to have a Bud Light) & they actually work better with water bottles. And I loved that they are collapsible, so they won't take up much room.

  10. Can I go kick the shit out of someone for you?? 15%, seriously!?! WTF is up with that crap. I would be irate! I know this probably isn't an option for you, but how about the 2 of you just go and have an amazing wedding?
  11. Wow, so I'm not going to have to worry about them missing the ceremony anymore. They split up! Their 7 MONTH anniversary was June 9th, and yeah, they didn't make it to that. Apparently she left him, because of his drinking. D'uh. (I won't go into detail & bore you all, but in December I had a falling out with my brother because of his drinking & I finally refused to enable his behavior any longer....we used to be super-close & this happened the week before Christmas....we all spent Christmas apart....it sucked. We're civil now, but I refuse to have that same relationship with him until he finally chooses to stop this crap) I'm not defending the man by any means, but it amazes me how in denial she was. He was the same drunk asshole before the wedding. She enabled his behavior! And now it's an issue. Mind you, if I were her, I never would have married him in the first place. Anyhoo, they are both too stubborn to even discuss it. It's crazy. From what I'm seeing, both of them just need to be right (have the last word) & neither will listen to the others needs. Anyway, I guess this means he's coming to the wedding alone now & since there are no flights from AZ landing at 7am in Maui, he'll have to come the day before. Oh the drama..............

I hope I am wrong.
  13. Ladies- I stumbled upon this site while researching events that will be happening while we're there (we're going to be in town for the Maui Onion Festival stinky breath for all!). It has some great links to local restaurants. Hawaii Vacation Travel Guide

I thought I'd post one with me holding, so people could get perspective. I hate that the retailers don't show a real -life example. I know they give dimensions, but I am not the type of person who'll pull out a ruler & measure.
