Crazy ~ I was just about to post about Novica too! I had about 9 pieces of jewelry come in last week and I absolutely LOVE them all, I am now having trouble deciding which pieces to keep their products are so unique and I love that they come from different parts of the world! For something handmade and so unique, their prices are pretty reasonable too If you decide to go with Novica, make sure to use their $10 coupon which is usually posted on the right side of their site, also doing a google search for coupon codes helps too, I actually found one for $15 off. Sorry for the which pieces did you end up ordering Jenny?

The Brazilian SUGAR wax..it is the best!!!

It really is only the actual process that can cause discomfort, but my "waxer" told me the first time is always the worst. Def. get someone who is reputable and recommended, I think it helps to get someone who knows what they're doing! Thanks for the compliment, its one of my favs of me and FI Quote: Originally Posted by *Melissa* oo this sounds really interesting! has anyone tried it who has also done regular waxing?? im wondering how much less it hurts...im definately going to see if anyone near me does this now My friends, all of whom have gotten waxed regularly, say the sugar wax was much less painful. It was a little bit of a shocking feeling, yanno having someone strip you down there, but it was such a quick process and so worth it! In less than 10 minutes I was all done and so happy I did it! I've been meaning write this post for a while now because I know there are other brides thinking about getting the good ol Brazilian wax...after having never gotten waxed on any body part before, about a month ago I got a brazilian sugar wax, not your typical wax, because apparently it is supposed to be much less painful. Here's the explaination of sugar waxing: Body Sugaring -- Body sugar does not contain petrochemicals or preservatives. It is made of sugar, lemon and water. Body sugar is applied much cooler than hot wax. When applied properly, body sugar is only warm, never burns the skin. Body sugar does not adhere to live skin cells and is gentle to the skin. It only removes hair and exfoliates dead skin cells, this means less discomfort and less trauma to the skin. Now mind you, I had only shaved (down there) once in my life because the regrowth drove me crazy itchy, like a male athlete itchy, lol. So of course, I was scared outta my mind about the possibilty of pain but my MOH told me the sugar wax was a breeze and a very clean process. Admittedly, there were times I freaking wanted to scream out "KELLY CLARKSON!!" like in 40-year-old Virgin, hahahah, but before I knew it, the process was done and I was beautifully brazilianed!!! I highly recommend sugar waxing for any body parts ~ I plan to get another brazilian before the wedding along with my legs and underarms so I can be smooth during our time in Mexico! If you are in the So Cal area, Irina in Long Beach is fabulous and reasonably priced. Here's her salon website: Welcome to Aesthetics by Irina

ME by Melia in Cabo - Wedding Reviews?
MarieSam replied to *Heather*'s topic in Cabo Accommodation & Site
I haven't actually stayed at the ME, but when we vacationed in Cabo in July 08 we were dropped off at the resort for a scuba diving class/session... The resort itself looked lovely, very modern and chic with lounge sofas everywhere and lots of beds poolside as well as off some balconies. The pool was fabulous, warm and very clean. It looked like a very hip resort to me, not one you'd necessarily find families at, but more so a younger, party crowd -- the Paris Hilton type crowd. They were playing loud music when we visited, and again seemed like a resort where the "beautiful people" would stay at. (The dive shop right on their beach by the way is fabulous and has some great instructors ~ very cute too!! ) Dont' know if you've been to the Standard Hotel in Hollywood or LA, but that's the kind of vibe I got from it, only beachside. We happened to meet a couple while diving who were actually honeymooning at the ME. We later had them over for dinner at our timeshare resort on our last night in Cabo, and they told us they were a little disappointed to have chosen the ME because it was too much of a "party" resort. They said the music was loud all the time, and it was really a place for singles. They did say the rooms and resort were lovely, but again not the serene peace they were hoping for on their honeymoon. Hope this gives you a better idea of the place! I don't doubt that's it's an enjoyable place to stay because it is absolutely beautiful, but I do think it just depends on what type of atmosphere you're looking for -
Let me preface this by saying I am a moisturizer/creams obsessed person who has spent way too much money finding the best product to keep my face nice and soft, especially during this horridly dry winter season.... That being said here are my suggestions: 1) Philosophy's "Hope in a Jar": If you're willing to invest a little this is a great moisturizer/cream. I started using this back in November and was surprised about how it actually kept my face feeling moisturized even several hours later. Love this stuff, but it is a little pricey, about $38 for a regular sized jar but it does last FOREVA I think Sephora also offers a small sample size jar for $15. 2) Garnier creams/products: For less of an investment these are really great (the lime green jars you see at drugstores like Target/Walmart). To change things up from "Hope in a Jar" I recently started using the Ultra-Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Night Cream for some heavier moisturizing, plus I swear my high stress level has suddenly developed a small wrinkle in between my brows don't know if it's anti-wrinkle magic works yet, but this stuff has also kept my skin feeling soft and hydrated many hours later. Usually about $12 to $13. 3) Alba creams and moisturizers: Another great line of creams -- I've tried the one in a pearlized green jar, I believe it's a seaweed line and the one in their tropic line which is in an orangy jar with an olive green cap. I LOVE the way these creams smell and apparently they're comprised of very natural elements. This is good, good stuff Usually about $16 to $18. 4) Ponds: If you're on a limited budget Ponds is the way to go. I have the heavy cream that has a blue cap. I just bought this a couple weeks ago off of someone's suggestion (if you haven't noticed, I like to mix things up). It does keep your face feeling soft but not as well as those mentioned above. Also, I'm not too fond of the smell because it makes me sad -- reminds me of my Grandma, may she rest in peace, she did have beautiful and wonderful skin though! Good buy at $5. 5) Vaseline: Haven't tried this yet, but I've heard that a quick fix to super dry skin/patches is good ol Vaseline. It does make sense considering the stuff is so dense and slick, but because it does have an oily consistency, I would definitely just apply in thin dabs to avoid breakouts. Super cheap stuff $2 to $3 sometimes even less! Hope this helps....I have wasted money on tons of others, but these are the best of the bunch!!! Good Lord, I just realized I have a serious addiction to facial creams
