what do you like to see? - feedback request

I say 20 to 40, including different parts of the wedding day -- getting ready, ceremony, reception, dancing. If a TTD session is done then I would boost it to about 50 -

Have to say a combination. An overview on a variety of weddings and then in depth collection of a few is good. Also important to me is to see that the photographer's work doesn't all seem "the same". That there are a variety of different angles used according to the setting, but also not the exact same perspectives used for each wedding, yanno not formulaic? Also a combination of color photographs and black and whites, B&Ws somehow strike more of an emotional cord to me, maybe because the colors don't interfere and you can really focus on the emotions emanating from the subjects in the image. In essence I like to know my photographer can adapt and bring out the best in the setting, his/her subjects, the mood, the crowd, but work on the move and be creative too. Oh and a mixture of posed and photojournalistic photos is important to me also. Just my two cents -
yum thanks for this tip

Ok let's all take a deep breath, sorry I riled up the fire with that post. I am obssessively checking yahoo all the time for the latest stories. *sigh* I need to stop! Despite this news, I think the good thing is that a lot of experts have already said the flu isn't any worse than the regular seasonal strains. There are so many articles that state this in the past days, and now that they are no longer asking schools to shut down when there are cases, this supports the lack of severity of the strain even more. So hopefully the nation/world will take this news in stride and keep in mind that there are thousands of deaths from the normal flu bug every year. *lets hope*

I will see if there are any bags in your color and let you know!

aye yi yi, this past weekend was bad -- it was FI's birthday, so we celebrated on Sat. with my family and on Sun with his family. Yep two bday parties means two cakes, both of which I could not refuse. Surprisingly, I ate like a king but when I weighed myself this morning I actually lost 1/2 pound? but we'll have to see what Wed. weigh-in brings....*keeping fingers crossed* that cake does not decide to make an appearance on my ass at the last minute, lol

Hey everyone, just a heads up that Dollar Tree now has an online store with home delivery or an in-store pick-up option. This is an awesome source when buying things in bulk -- everything of course is only $1.00, how cool is that? They've got quite a few things that would be great for OOT bag items, specifically 2-pack hand sanitizers for $1.00 for all the "Swine Flu" era brides like myself (*just a note I actually found 3-pack bonus ones a couple weeks back in one of their stores ). Also have these really cute OOT bags, but are currently out of stock online, but definitely worth keeping track of. Aside from that lots of summer play toys, band-aid packs, candle holders, candles, vases, etc., lots of wedding goodies! Here's the direct link to the "summer stuff" and below some pics: Bulk Seasonal at DollarTree.com Happy shopping!!!

hmmm sounds odd to me, such a steep price. Are the villa owners providing waiters/servers and staff for your wedding? I have a GREAT wedding coordinator whom I would recommend highly. Her name is Jenn Smith and she and her husband own Turtle Bay Cafe in Akumal. They cater delish food with very reasonable prices and also bake wedding cakes for weddings throughout the RM. She is a Newport Beach native who moved to the RM after falling in love with the area on their honeymoon. Her website is Marry Me Akumal, "Planning Akumal's most Celebrated weddings" is the Akumal;and Riviera Maya Wedding Planner ServiceAkumal, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Sian Kaan; and the Costa Maya -- she's got TONS of contacts, and is so fair with her prices. She also owns ALOT of her own wedding decor, tiffany chairs, chargers, etc. and so her rental prices are so much cheaper than using outside vendors. She will also cater to any budget you have and really personalizes your wedding experience according to your wishes and vision. Jenn has great rapport with some of the local villa owners and has gotten our event fee waived at our villa for our Welcome Dinner. Like I said, she will get you discounts all over the place when she can and she doesn't take anything off the top -- I've done direct price checks on my own and the quotes I get are always exactly what she quotes me or a bit higher. So I know I can trust her word. Since the swine flu outbreak last week, she has called me three times already just to make sure everything is ok, to check and see if I need anything and to give me reassuring updates. She's absolutely wonderful!! If you need anymore info -- feel free to PM me You can also check out their restaurant website at: "Turtle Bay Cafe and Bakery", Akumal, Riviera Maya, Mexico, full service restaurant Best wishes on whomever you decide to go with ~ the Cancun/RM is a wonderful place and I'm sure your wedding will be an beautiful event to remember!
