All the credit should go to my photographer, Kristi, she is AMAZING! The song on our wedding slideshow is "Love is Waiting" by Brooke Fraser. Kristi actually picked that song for us. Brooke Fraser has a lot of really unique songs. I'm pretty sure most of them are available to purchase on itunes.

I did NOT get in Nursing school?!?!
KirstenRN6 replied to August2010Bride's topic in Just venting or funnies
Don't lose hope! I hear this on a daily basis from people wanting to get into nursing schools. Just keep applying, you'll get in. If it's the desire of you heart to be a nurse.......it WILL happen! We need nurses like you! -

Underneath my dress it was almost completely black where it dragged on the floor. After I got it wet in the cenotes, it was much cleaner. Cenotes have some of the clearest water I have ever seen. The only thing I felt got a little ruined were the flowers on the side of my dress, other than that it looks great! And seriously, when am I EVER going to wear it again. It has a permanent place in my closest now, so you might as well make the last time you wear it well worth it for some amazing pictures!

J Crew usually has a lot of sales, just watch for them!

Did any of you have your reception on the beach at night? Was it too windy and cold? Are there other options we are not being offered. We are the only wedding that day. I really wanted something outside. Also where is there jetskiing during the day, I read on one post someone was jetsking? Oh and if we are bringing votives and sea shells for our tables (all extras are so expensive) will they put them out for us or do we have to pay extra!! We are painting names on sand dollars for our seating chart and they want to charge $40 to rent a box with sand to put them in. Any advise would be helpful. Natalie Ann Hi Natalie! You will be so happy that you choose EDR! I just got married there on December 11th. The evenings are definitely cooler, but like others said you just need a shawl. As for your reception area......I LOVED Tucanes! It's centrally located, but still has that private feel to it. The Health Bar is nice too, but close to the ocean and it might be too windy. As for bringing extra stuff with you, I would just bring it with you and not mention anything via email to your coordinator. I brought a few extra things with me too and just handed them to the onsite wedding coordinator and she had no problem setting them out for me. They never even mentioned that there would be an extra charge. Good luck! Let us know if you need anything else!

We took some of our TTD photos around the town of Playa. Then we went to a cenote' south of the resort. I believe it was called Eden Cenotes. It's run by a cute little family. They only charged us $4usd per person to get in. We were pretty much the only people there along with a few other scuba divers. Cenotes' are amazing! I highly recomend going to see them. It was by far the clearest water I had ever seen, and the caves make an amazing backdrop for photos. We wanted to do something different for out TTD rather than just taking them in the ocean. I'm excited to see the rest of our pictures! I think my photographer will have them done sometime in January!
