I agree it is ignorant to categorize all Mormons in the same manner (just like some people do to Muslims so often). I don't think the intention is to be rude but is just ignorance that comes from people being absorbed in their own religions and not exploring others enough to get the truth. Lauren I saw that the count escalated on the news, it's so crazy! Here's the answer to your question. The LDS Church (Mormon) discontinued polygamy in 1890. Mormons (LDS) DO NOT practice polygamy!! I am glad to see the government finally doing something about it though. For example people can go on Oprah and other shows and actually say " I have 3 wives and 90 something kids" and its public and nothing is done. It's illegal right? Do something? Sheesh! I second that, I'm in the exact same boat as you!

We should have a spin-off poll of this thread.... -

For all of you who've been to Kauai before, where's the best snorkeling spots? I've heard Larsens Beach is pretty good. My FI and I are going there at the end of June and I wanted to start doing some planning.

I'm just glad the government is finally cracking down on this! It also bugs me that people think that polygamy is all throughout Utah when it's really not.

Absolutely amazing photos! Has he gotten them yet?

Most of the time that will make them give up all together. It sucks that it happens, but that's how it is there. Great suggestion! Our party got pulled over 5 years ago when we were down there too.

We wanted our wedding party to pretty much take over the place ;-) So, for us, we looked at hotels with less than 300 rooms. So that narrowed down the list for us and knocked out some of the more popular wedding spots like Dreams and Moon Palace. Then we looked at the price point for our guests and the fact that we would have a handful of children. So that of course knocked some out,...like Le Blanc...still one of my personal favorites. So, we actually took the route of seeing if some of the smaller full service hotels would offer and inclusive meal/drink plan option and that is what we ended up doing. So don't limit your search to a hotel that is called "all-inclusive". If you find a regular resort you really like such as Marriott, Le Meridien, Hyatt, Hilton...call/email and ask about the pricing and a package that is inclusive of rooms, meals, drinks and taxes. Good luck! Great suggestion, I appreciate your input! =)

I'm sorry but I don't see how my last post could be considered "sassy". I apologized and I've been open to being wrong. People do make mistakes so I'm hoping we can move on from this little mishap instead of turning this into a "Infinity22 Bashing Thread". Again, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. And for the record, I'm not bashing Dreams and I do appreciate all of your help.

If I offended anyone then I'm sorry but I don't feel like I came right out and said "dreams sucks", because I honestly don't feel that way. I've just been objective about them, given what I've seen. I guess I was in the wrong to suggest that Dreams could be a "wedding factory", I've just seen so many people on here suggest or talk about them. So yeah, they must be doing something right if some many people are flocking to them. Anyway, moving on.....

Do you have an issue with the "quality" of dreams? Have you been there? If you haven't been there then I don't think it's fair for you to pass judgement and criticize people that have been there and were very happy with it. Trust me, I'm not criticizing anybody for choosing their resorts. I made a comment based on what I've seen but as soon as someone else points out that I'm wrong, I'm open to what they have to say, much like the beach comment. I never claimed that I knew everything about anything. But anyway, I've seen some recent photos of Dreams rooms and they didn't look very promising. If someone else comes forward with different photos, then I'm open to changing my opinion. Again though, not criticizing, just asking a few questions.

For the most part dreams just does one wedding per day. I can respect that. Since we're on the "dreams" subject though, how many of those brides do you think take the overall quality of the resort into consideration?

Do you have any photos of the bigger beach?
