  1. Congrats!! The birdcage veil came out so cute!!!
  2. Here are my shoes-- they were really comfortable and made me tall enough that I didn't need to shorten my dress! (I'm 5'2)
  3. Congratulations Panda & Dana! Don't sweat the small stuff, relax and have a fabulous wedding!
  4. Update: more pics!!! Our TTD Slideshow (turn your speakers on-- it has music!)

Thanks! Dana It was $500/hour, and arranged directly through Jascynthia so I didn't find out if the price was flexible or not.... We just hired them for one hour and that covered the pre-reception when people were getting seated, the ceremony, and the post-ceremony time when everybody got a glass of champagne for toasting. We had our first dance to them and other people started dancing too. My MIL loved them and bought a CD they had available.
  6. So pretty!! Your big day is right around the corner!

It depends on which package you choose... There's a base price for each package, which includes 8 people, and then you pay a per-person charge ($20-$50) for each additional person over the first 8 people. The package info is posted in post #27 of this thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31288-3

Where did you get your instructions? It is so pretty! Good luck & have fun!! I found some tutorials online, but didn't use any of them. We ended up making mine by sheer trial and error. My mom & I went to her friend's house and the three of us tried to wrap the Russian netting around my head different ways, and when we got it to sit the way we wanted (using bobby pins), we pinned it into place. My mom's friend then sewed the netting to a clear comb & then we attached the flower (it came on a pin).
  9. The night of the wedding, they decorated our room with tons of rose petals and gave us all the floral centerpieces from the wedding to put in our room as well.

We actually didn't use any other flowers for centerpieces, etc. Instead, we used shells and sand and candles, etc. Me too! I am so glad we did artificial flowers! My allergies prevent me from having real flowers on my nightstand, but I have my wedding bouquet in a vase and love seeing it every morning!
  11. You'll probably want to have the wedding off-resort to avoid having to pay for day-passes. Here's a thread that should help give you some ideas: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t28399
  12. You guys are too sweet!!! Quote: Originally Posted by danalauren22 Petals, I love all your photos and it looks like you had an amazing time. I really want to wear my real dress though. Did yours get ruined from the salt and chlorine? My dress is polyester, and it doesn't seem to have been damaged by the water. Found these care instructions here: http://www.wikihow.com/Clean-a-Wedding-Gown Quote: Originally Posted by danalauren22 Thanks for all of your posts throughout your planning, you have been very helpful! 13. I agree- nobody will notice & it's not worth stressing out over so close to the wedding. My program barely followed the order of the actual ceremony and nobody even noticed that. lol

You could get a driver to take you to Negril or Montego Bay to buy some souvenirs-- the gift shops at the hotel are very pricey. If we had fewer guests, I was considering getting them these... very cute! Floral Fantasy; Flowers for All Occasions from Negril, Jamaica / Gift Baskets And I doubt the hotel will deliver the gifts, but they may for an extra charge. I didn't ask.
  16. We did fake flowers for my bouquet, my MOH's bouquet, the parents' bouts & corsages, and I split the real bridal bouquet (included in the hotel package) for my two bridesmaids. It worked out really well! The fakes looked awesome in pictures! (and no sneezing from allergies!)
