  3. My first tip is to relax and realize that everything really runs on "Island Time"- no sense in rushing or getting impatient when you're there. And Happy Jamaican Independence! (yesterday)
  4. The bride tank top, seashells, blue & white tote, and day-after dress are all taken!! Everything else is still available.

Any luck with your marriage certificate yet? Mine sure has not arrived.
  7. Congratulations, girl! You looked great!
  8. Jamaica totes- I only have two of these left. Free with any purchase! Bridal Magazines I have a bag of bridal magazines (about 15 total) from 2008-2009. They include Modern Bride, Chicago Social Brides, etc. They’re too heavy for shipping to make sense so I’ll give them away to any Chicago area bride who wants to pick them up from the N. Side.
  9. Turquoise flip-flops (from Michaels):-$1 Size Large. Broach- $15 Beautiful broach never worn: Ceremony Tall sand ceremony jar with lid.- $4 I used a smaller version of this jar for my sand ceremony. It has a rubber seal to keep the sand in place during your journey home. The label easily soaks off. Reception Cake Topper- $10 Silver “I Do” cake topper from Michael’s Centerpieces I am selling a bag of seashells for $3. I used them as centerpieces for the wedding. http://x5d.xanga.com/42cf37f655d33242017758/m191651080.jpg[/img Cardboard card box- $1 Floral Heart-shaped Centerpiece- $1 OOT Bags Blue and white boat tote- $5 I bought several from another BDW bride and have one left. Very nice for bridesmaid gifts!
  10. Here are some items leftover from my May wedding- I hope another bride can use them! Prices do not include shipping, which is additional. Please PM me if you're interested! Wedding Attire Bride tank top—$5 Size Medium (DIY iron-on from JoAnn Fabrics): Worn once, the morning of my wedding. I also have a "Bride" hoodie in white, from Michael's but I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it. Selling for $10. Wedding Gown: David’s Bridal- strapless ivory A-line gown with beaded, corded lace. Michelangelo NT2406. I was a 2-dress bride, and this is the first dress, which I didn’t wear: I bought it new for $600 and will take $400 or best offer. Brand new, never worn, with tags. It’s size 8, but I typically wear a street size 6. Recent BDW bride Geralyn wore this same gown except with the train. Longline Bra- fits a 36B Ivory sequined clutch- $25 Beautiful soft clutch purse. Never used, as I didn’t bring it to Jamaica with me. Day-After dress- $15 I was so excited when I found this dress but ended up wearing my wedding gown for my day-after shoot. I never got a chance to wear this one. This dress fits my 36B chest and is extremely cute. Ivory lace with sash. Set of Garters- $10 These were never worn. They are white with a light blue ribbon.

That's less than what we paid, so I'd go for it!
  13. My sister and I just got back from the Riu Montego Bay and we loved it. They had a lot more Jamaican food than other all-inclusives we've gone to and that was a big plus for us. The rooms were nice and clean and the beach and pool were comfortable too.
  14. Congratulations! My sister & I were at RMB this weekend and loved it! Would definitely return.

  18. Awww... so sweet! Congratulations!
  19. If it's for serious sleep apnea, you should look into a C Pap machine. My dad got one and now he sleeps well and without any snoring.
  20. I'm a month behind you, but I haven't received mine yet either. Interesting to note that the postcards my bridesmaids sent to their BFs in MAY just arrived THIS WEEK! I'm not holding my breath for the certificate to be on time... :-(

They also would've been nice at dinner, but with our budget, it was perfect to just hire them for an hour! Quote: Originally Posted by jerseykitten My dad is dying for the Steel Drums! It was perfect to have them playing when everybody was coming in and getting seated, and then again right after the ceremony for our champagne toast. A lot of people were dancing (including us)!
