I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Yes, I know what you mean about a gap in the day if it's a early wedding, I wonder if you have a early wedding dinner or if you have to get changed and then dress up again for the night? OH I don't even want to think about it!

Hi desser, Thomsons Weddings tel: 0871 971 0545 Yes, reading other reviews when you get your confirmation pack you can email the WC with your requests for extra's, the wedding venue that you would prefer (beach etc) and reception request's, I think the WC then emails you 2 months before you arrive to confirm/check your requirements. You can also add extra's when you meet with her at the hotel, to choose flowers, photo package etc. We are going to collect the wedding confirmation pack from the TA's tomorrow morning, but I have already asked them for the email details for the WC and I have emailed her to try to confirm my requested time. I also tried to see what times were still showing available for the 4th March on the Riu Wedding site but could not do this because it said no longer available for bookings on that date. What is so frustrating is that the requested date and time was free when I booked with Thomsons (holiday/ W package) for the 4th & 5th March, but because we wanted to make sure all the paperwork was all in order, we decided to book the Wedding package with Thomsons. I also gave them 2 date's because I really wanted a 4.00pm wedding. How can they now say I have to wait until I get there to find out the time? When you can book direct with the hotel? & that's how they book it too? OMG I am so angry! Hope everything turns out okay for you cos I know you have waited so long. Good Luck. Watch this space.x

Hi desser & shellk, Well, first the good news the confirmation pack was sent to Thomsons for us to pick up tomorrow and the Wedding date is confirmed for 4th March but the bad news is no confirmation of the time which was my only priority when we booked the wedding. Thomsons are phoning the Wedding department to try and find out why there is no confirmation of the time. Because when I phoned to check with them I was informed that I would find out until we arrived at the hotel. Very upset & angry when I known that this is not the case. I have emailed Dionne WC a really nice email to ask for confimation of the time myself, but the one thing I don't want is a early Wedding. I am feeling so fustrated now. Will keep you updated but I guess it is another waiting game now to hear back from Dionne. Desser have you tried phoning the Wedding dept direct?

Hi desser & shellk, We booked in March and my H2B took the forms back to the Thomsons Travel Agent's last Tuesday or Wed, however I asked him to phone the Wedding dept this morning, which he did. Good News I think, they told him that our wedding pack with confirmation of the date and time of the Wedding was posted out to us yesterday. We did not receive any post today so I hope to receive it tomorrow, however being a typical man, he did not think to check if we do have the date and time that we have requested. "Oh I do hope so!" Will be sure to update you tomorrow.

Hi desser, yes, I feel exactly the same and it does appear that it is only taking a couple of days for those booking direct with the hotel to have their requested dates and time confirmed. The only reason I did not do it that way is because we felt safer doing it via the TA. Oh well fingers crossed we both hear this week.

Hi shellk, well I have not planned very much yet apart from booking the holiday & wedding package, although we have got the wedding rings. I think once I know the wedding date and time have been confirmed I will start looking for the dress. Also waiting for the date to be confirmed so that family and friends can start booking because some are thinking of going the week before we arrive. You are right the hardest bit is the waiting, but well excited.

Yes, can book direct with riu, but decided just to book everything with the travel agent, however still awaiting confirmation of the date and time which we have requested. Hope to hear this week but thinking that it may have been quicker to do this direct with riu. Fingers crossed that I receive confimation this week. Desser, how long have you been waiting for your confirmation after senting your forms back to Thomson?
