"Flood Control"?
Dez921714 replied to Dez921714's topic in Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions.
ARGGGGG...what a waste of 5000 points! LOL -
This question is mostly for the Mods. A few days ago I bought the flood control thing...so that I don't get that message that says "you have to wait 30 seconds between searches, please try again in 10 seconds". Well, almost immediately after I bought it, I got the message that I had to wait 30 seconds and it asked me to try again in 39 seconds! LOL It almost seems like I'm getting the message more since I bought it...am I doing something wrong?

For those are you married already...did you bring your own centerpieces and table decor or did you get it from the resort? If you got it from the resort, do you have any pics? Average price per table? Thanks!!!! I want to bring stuff with us, but don't know about the practability of it...brining clothes for 2 people for 11 nights, Stuff for OOT bags for 30-50 people and table decor? Not sure it's all gonna happen. We are having people help us bring things down, but still.

I have an idea of how many will attend (at least 60)...do you think I should start making/printing/putting things together based on that number and just figure on doing more if needed come November when we get our final count? I don't want to OVER order things like welcome bags and pashminas, but I also don't want any extras to be/look different than the rest because they were last minute add ons... Advice please I am in teh same boat as you, our invitations are going out in mid to late Sept with an RSVP date of Nov. 15. But I've asked friends and family to keep me in the loop when they get their plane tickets, so I know we have 22 people with plane tickets already. We're guessing based on interest that we'll have 30-50 people. I bought 50 OOT bags, I know it's too many, but a lot are doing "girls weekends" so they each get their own bag (FI mom, sister, aunt, mom's friend, etc). I didn't want to wait until the last possible minute because I was worried I'd be freaking out and have WAY too much to do in 1-2 months. This way I have pleanty of time to do the iron-ons and if/when I have extra bags, I can either sell them on here or use them as fabric grocery bags (I got them at cheaptotes.com and am ironing on a general "Cancun Mexico, 2009" logo - alternating one with palm trees one with starfish). -

Count me in! (as long as it's not Chris' birthday or when we're away in Mexico) -
You need bags (check out cheaptotes.com) and iron on transfer paper (you can get it at cheaptots.com or walmart or basically any craft store should have it). Flip your logo so that it's mirror immage. Print it onto the transfer paper (don't use a lazor printer, it's too hot and will melt the paper). Cut the image out of the paper leaving a little edge (try to round the corners). And then follow the instructions from the package about how long to iron them. Good luck!!!!

more of keeping daisy quiet, our challenge is a) keeping her from jumping on the couch (I see the look on her face so I pick her up and put her on it) and keeping Vera off of Daisy. Vera is about 20 lbs heavier and larger than Daisy and likes to jump on her (Daisy is about 55lbs we think Vera is about 75-80). Luckily, Daisy is crate trained, so if I say "Go to your room" she'll run into her crate and sit down...but I feel guilty crating her all day LOL Plus, if she isn't in eye shot she has to have the cone on her head. In march, about 3 days before her staples were to be removed, she pulled them all out and swallowed them. I think we left her alone for an hour at most, that was it's own nightmare.......... Just gotta keep thinking Mexico in Sept wedding in Jan...... -

I've been freaking a bit a basically stalled out on the planning for right now. This past week we had a deck built and then our dog had to have knee surgery done ASAP as she already had surgery in March and messed up the other leg, making her "bad" leg now her "good" leg and we didn't want it to get messed up again...a lot of $ we weren't planning on spending. I've been working two jobs between things and feel like I'm always running lol I might start doing the iron on transfers on the OOT bags, I already printed them -
Centerpiece idea - open for suggestions

If you were in the NYC area I was going to recommend the place we've used. It came HIGHLY recommended from someone my sister works with, they use it for doggie day care and when she goes out of town on business (she had to leave her dog there for a month once). The place is GREAT! They take them out to Long Island and they play all day and they don't crate the dogs at all. One of our dogs can have issues with other females and I todl them that she's crate trained and they said they don't crate teh dogs at all, they'll just section off a part of the yard for just our two if there are any issues. The place was great! We joke that they had a "weekend in the Hamptons" LOL Keep looking and search online, you'll find a place. -
I know! I might have to "borrow" (aka "steal") it LOL

I would much rather use that money to help out the wedding party with hotels and attire than feed a complete stranger. I'm in a slightly different boat than everyone else that my destination is actually in the country and so we are treating it as a traditional wedding (i.e, the guest list currently stands at 225 -- and that was with loads of cutting). If you didn't make a guest list that large, you really have no reason to be there -- and if I'm going to be increasing the number, there are plenty of people I would like to invite over a stranger. Maybe I'm just a grinch! No! You're not a grinch, and I 100% know where you're coming from!! Before we decided to do a DW we were planning a wedding here (hall booked and everything). Our guest list was at 260 people and there was no way to cut it down (my mom has 12 siblings and I have over 40 first cousins). With having a DW we kept the invite list the same but are only expecting 30-50 guests instead of the 180-200 we were expecting had we gotten married here. (and it's SIGNIFICANLY cheaper to get married in Mexico than in NY or NJ!). Basically, the people we never see are not going to go to Mexcio, but they would come if we got married here. I wonder if that's part of the reason we don't mind so much lol
