  1. On top of that, the freaking main line from the street to the house is clogged again...so I just called Roto-Ruter...$450 I can't afford....
  2. He just left. Screaming about how he can't stand me, the dogs, the house adn wants out. Threatened to take all the money out of our joint account, so I moved all but $280 into my account and changed my password (I don't want payments to bounce). It's all BS and I don't deserve to put up with this. I think I'm done. I don't know how or what I'll say if/when he comes back but I can't keep putting myself through this. I love him, but is it worth it?
  3. Awesome pic! You guys look great! I love the Thank You pic...I might have to add that one to my "ideas" list
  4. I'm sure a lot of you read my posts abotu the issues FI and I have been having...so I've unofficially taken a break from planning...that being said lol I think we narrowed down to two rings for FI and I have an idea of what I want. BM dresses are basically ordered, we're just waiting for one friend to have her baby and then get sized, but they said that the order doesn't have to go in till Sept, so we have time (she's due end of July). We're going to be ordering our invitations by the end of this week and hopefully they won't take too long to come in and we can get them out by the end of the summer. I still have to find the AHR place and put a deposit down...
  5. Apparently I should have looked at page two before posting. You look absolutely stunning!!!! Congratulations!
  6. Amy! Great review! Sounds like you had an awesome time!! Can't wait to see pics!!!!!
  7. I'm sorry about everyting going on with your health and FI. We're here if you want to vent or talk. Hang in there *HUGS*
  8. Ok. Take a deep breath. Right now, your main concern is finding a resort...try not to think of ANYTHING ELSE right now. I'd say talk to a TA, this forum has a some great ones. I'm getting married in Cancun/Riveria Maya so I am a bit biased to my resort....Moon Palace. It's AI, kid friendly, has 3 gazeebo's for weddings as well as terrace set ups and as for affordiablitly, our guests are spending $422 per night and if they stay 3 or more nights, it includes excursions. One thing and one day at a time!
  9. Yay! All the awesome ideas in one place...it's gonna be dangerous!!!
  10. Your dress is beautiful and you look georgous in it! Have a safe trip and take LOTS of pics so we can see them when you get back!!!

  12. Wow, Glenda! First - You looked beautiful! Congratulations!!! Second - You have some story to tell people about the day you got married and the comedy of errors that took place. Thank God (hehe) it turned out good in the end!! Third - Can I ask what Church you got married at? It looks a LOT like one I used to go to as a kid (in Brooklyn).
  13. That sucks! Have they turned up yet? I'd be livid!!!
  14. OMG I am so sorry! I was going to say that for his own dad to fire him, there has to be more to the story, but then I saw that you mentioned other "issues" with his dad...so that explains that. Honestly, everything happens for a reason (this moto has helped me keep my sanity many times). While it might be hard for a while, you said that you can basically support both of you...in the end you guys will be better off. Hopefully he can take this time to change fields if he hates what he was doing. Or open his own business if he's interested in that (and I like the idea of stealing dads clients). If he regrets not going to school, he can take this time to get a higher degree. Although this door has "closed" it might be that it's "opened" many more for him. Hang in there, you'll get through it! You should to FIL with a cast iron frying pan!!!
  15. Oh man...now I'm worried...I booked 5 of our guests on Mexicana adn I think the rest (so far) are flying continental...
  16. OMG that is way too cute!!!!
  17. I work from home. I work for a Financial Public Relations Firm. Actually, our whole company telecommutes. I've worked with my boss previously, when I contacted him a few months ago asking to use him as a reference, he asked if I was interested in working for him. I do get lonely though...so I picked up a part time job working nights and weekends at a local department store. In the past I have sold Pampered Chef. You can make a pretty decent amont of money if you schedule parties and you schedule parties when you want to. A friend of mine does Partylite. Any other at home party sales thing can be fun. And if you like and use the products, it's not really sales. I don't do Pampered Chef anymore, but I still "sell" their products just because I use and love them.

We were both shocked that we didn't gain back more than around 3lbs each...we were expecting to have gained back 5-8 at least. Back to soup and fruit today ....
  19. Morgan Thanks for the great review!! Your pictures are awesome! Congratulations again
  20. Wow, I just read this whole thing and boy was the suspense building!!!!! I'm glad you're ok with the results. FI and I are being good until after the wedding...it's torture...noting that can result in an "oops" LOL Good luck!!!!
