I agree the Beach Bar has great food. And the tuna bits are amazing... Great place to do a welcome reception. My BF got married at Villa Kismet in St. John's it was like out of a movie, totally amazing. If I got married there though I would do a wedding on the beach and have the reception at Rhumb Lines. This is where Kenny Chesney and Rene Zelwinger had theirs. Rhumb Lines is an amazing place to have a reception. Check it out you won't go wrong. I also have to say while I stayed at the Westin there was a local wedding there and I felt the Westin did an amazing job with the wedding and reception it would be a way to go. Best of luck

Casey your countdown on your signature freaks me out because it reminds me I have so much to do. We still haven't decided on a honeymoon even though now we are between Victoria HOuse in Belize and the Tides in Playa Del Carmen. I am stressed. I can't believe it is coming so fast. Lets do drinks this week. I am open.

May Brides. Rock.... I am in the same boat. But yes check sidestep.com (same as kayak) tickets just went down. I also noticed tickets are dropping every week by about $30-60, which is great before Christmas they were between $700-$800....

My TA got my guests $108pp a night at The Dreams Resort and they are coming for 4-5 nights. With airfare most of my guests are paying around $1200 total. The best part is Dreams is all-inclusive and with our TA my guests made 3 payments and won't have to pay anything when they get there. Yeah!!! All activities rehearsal dinner and welcome reception, my FI and I are paying for that way our guests don't have to pay anything out of their pocket except for transportation to/from airport once they get there. This made me feel better about asking them to come to PV in this economy. Happy Planning.... Once you get this decision made you will feel so much better

I have seen prices posted from $85 at resorts, to $150 hair/make-up at places like Bleu and a few other upscale salons.

Kisa- I see you are getting married in April. Check the PV website, because the bull fighting does stop for the month of May. I wanted to go while I was there last year and found this out. Let me know if you get any other info. Best Kathy

I would love any information you have. We are trying to book our honeymoon there this week and can't decide on where to stay. We love Victoria HOuse, but it is double the cost of anywhere else. Do you have any suggestions? Any feedback on where to stay, eat, company to dive with and any other advise. Best kathy

Okay so we decided on Ambregris Caye Belize for our honeymoon, but we can't decided where to stay. Victoria house looks amazing, but it is over double of what it is anywhere else on the island. Does anyone have an recommendations on where to stay? Help please.... Kathy

My TA got us rooms at The Dreams for $108pp a night. Which I believe is a steal. Last night, in NYC, I spend $125 on just myself for drinks and dinner:) oops... Not sure if this is the kind of spending you are looking for. But I also shopped around to make it affordable for all my guests and they were all very very happy to spend $108 which includes 5 restaurants, all drinks (top shelf), tax & fees for a vacation in PV. Happy Hotel Shopping OH and the Dreams is only 3-5 min max from PV. I visited there in May it was right below Conchas Chinas Best KAthy

Deciding between Victoria House Ambergris Caye (San Pedro) Victoria House Or going south to Turtle Inn (Placencia) Blancaneaux Lodge | Turtle Inn | La Lancha If anyone who reads this has been to either one, I would love your feedback and additional information. We are also open to other small resorts if anyone has a suggestion. Best Kathy

Bradley- Thank you. Is there anywhere is specific you would recommend in Belize both to stay and to dive. We are looking at Victoria House in San Pedro and Turtle Bay (Frances Ford Coppola's Resort) in the southern area. Any suggestions would be highly recommended. Best Kathy

My fiance wants to do part of our honeymoon in Cabo but I have one question I need a very honest answer too. Is the ocean water in Cabo crystal blue? I know it isn't like the Caribbean, but I was wondering if you dive off of Cabo do you have at least 20-30 feet of clear visablity. I love to dive but I need at least some visablity or I get weirded out. I know this is the pacific, so I assume the water is pretty foggy. Does anyone know the answer. I would totally appreciate any info. Online sites don't really give a clear answer, and I have never really heard of Cabo being a great place to dive.
