    Hello

    Amazing work! Welcome
  3. Welcome! This site is going to help you plan the wedding of your dreams. Enjoy:)
  4. I am really considering using EM-Vallarta. Carolyn has been so helpful, and I haven't even signed a contract with her yet. They have helped me find villas, sent me invoices of actual weddings so I can see all costs (down to the price of candles and hourly waiting staff), and they handle all travel for your wedding guests, which includes getting group discount rates at local hotels and even on airlines, which will save my guest about 20-25% of what they would have paid booking themselves or using an agent. BUT I would love to hear from someone who has actually used them. I know they specialize in doing customized weddings. Meaning what ever you want you can have. You make your wedding yours from the location/decor/entertainment/creating your own special drink. This really appeals to me. AGAIN BUT if anyone has already used them and has feedback I would really appreciate it. I would even love to see somone else invoice so I can compare. I will post all details on variances for all to see. With that being said I have heard nothing but great things about Dazzling Details and need to make a decision on who I will go with my May. Thanks
  5. For those of you who are looking for a little one-on-one time with your husband after the wedding, I have a great suggestion. Norman's Cay: Which is a 20 minute, affordable flight, from Nassua. It is a private island (I stayed there in college w/ a friend of a friend who owned a home on the island only 8 houses total). Check out MacDuff's on Normans Cay, perfect place to stay. Again this is for those looking for downtime and exclusive location. I have more information if you need it and some pictures I took when there. The island use to be owned by a Columbian Drug Lord, Carlos Lehder, so there is truly some amazing things to see. Like a plane in the ocean you can actually stand on. It was crashed full of drugs, crazy. A yacht on a hillside, Carlos had a trader amoungst his people so he brought a crane in from Miami and lifted a guys yacht onto a hillside. You can actually go in it. Weird! Check this out for more info Carlos Lehder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Truly an experience to remember:)
  6. We are planning on going to Bora Bora for our honeymoon. Since we are from NYC, it would cut 6 hours off the flight to leave straight from PV. We are saving the frequent flyer points and starwood points:) Check out le meridien, which is a starwood.com hotel. There are some great ways to collect travel points. We are hoping to not have to pay for our flights or our stay, just go off our points....
  7. Erin- I think it is odd they won't give you a quote until you put down a deposit. EM-Vallarta and the other company I spoke to actually send me real invoices for weddings they did this year so I could see how much to actually expect to spend and the cost breakdown, it's so helpful in planning my budget. I would be more than happy to send them to you. I don't want to post them since I haven't decided who I am going with. Tracy-I can't wait to hear all the details.
  8. Sarah- Thank you. Still learing how to navigate this site. This site has been so helpful to me, and I am hooked. I just want to give back in any way possible. Cheers
  9. If you don't have hips (I do) the BCBG is stunning and would look amazing. The eyelet is very beachy and you could work your accessories in a great way to really play up the DW theme. Good Luck.... I do like the Nicole Miller dress, I myself may get mine from there.
  10. Would love feedback on this. I just started a bridal boot camp at my gym. Meaning I got in touch with other bride to be's in my gym and we started a little group. It has been one week, but I am already seeing results and have great support. So I was thinking it would be kind of neat to do the same thing here. I would be open to posting Bridal Boot Camp ideas on *changing up your workout to get max results *nutition information (I am currently seeing one, it costs me, but why not share the wealth of information. That's my gift to all.) *motivational quotes to inspire *quick food/drink ideas Thoughts? Would anyone be interested if I did this? Tammy and Ann is it okay if I initiated this?
  11. I love the idea of passing them on and sharing their story....
  12. I know I have said this a million times, but you all are so very talented and I haven't seen a bad boarding pass invite. Great job everyone. Lori yours rock..... I am indebted to you for sharing the templates....
  13. A Pimm's cup, using Pimm's No. 1, club soda, slice of cucumber, lemon peael 71 calories. Yeah and yummy
  14. Erin, I am going to do the private villa thing in PV also. I have talked to a number of villa owners and a few brokers. I also talked to Carolyn at em-vallarta, who is a possible WC we will use. If you would like some leads and I would be happy to share some connections I have already made let me know. I am going there in May to start the planning process. When do you plan to go?
  15. Hey ladies, I just ordered my STD stamps with a personalized picture (when I get enough points to post a picture I will post them ) and I love them. This site also offers info on how much postage you need on your invites. Stamps.com: Wedding Advisor
  16. I just spoke to Joe who is the photographer and he was awesome. Funny, friendly, flexible and just seemed like an all around great person. I am getting married in PV and he loves shooting there, but travels everywhere. His prices are good and he offers a large number of other options. Such as traveling to where you currently are to do your engagement photos. J. Cogliandro Photography - Houston Based National and International Wedding Photography
  17. I missed the deadline on this BTW biggest loser entry, but would love to be in on the next one. When will the next one start. I love this idea, what a great way to motivate yourself and also have a little support. Props

    Hello

Sergio we have already been in contact via email. Welcome to BDW, I just joined but am in love with this site. Hope we get to talk soon.
  19. I only started getting them about 2 years ago and though it is uncomfortable I wouldn't say it is actually painful. Believe me it isn't a walk in the park the first time, but after your first go it gets so much better. Like riding a bike you don't feel it as much every time. Do let hair grow for 3-4 weeks before going in, or else you will feel more discomfort. You will love love it. No razor Yeah!!! Sorry so graphic, but I wish someone who have shared with me first.
  20. I'm a newbie but loved this.... I am scared to live near my FI, because I think they will take up all of my fiance's time. His mother once told me that she wanted him in the same town so he could come over and check on her everyday. I feel that would be the center of our lives.....
  21. These are great... Would you be open to sharing your template? I am new and you may already have it posted, but wanted to check with you. Thanks
  22. Hello all, Wasn't sure if this was the best place to post this. But I am looking for a photographer in NYC, that won't break the bank, for about 4 hours to do my engagement photos. If you know of any please send them my way. Happy DAys
