Hey ladies- I myself met Lindsay and Adam in May and spent sometime with them. We were considering having our guests stay there and having all of our activites there. When I visited in May there was a wedding going on and believe me they didn't look bored or turned off by there not being a beach with sand or enough chairs. That wasn't the case at all. They were so happy to have this boutique hotel all to themselves. It is truly an amazing option. If you are looking to blow your guests minds, this is the place for you. It is private, the food is amazing, Lindsay & Adam are the best to work with, the open bar is a no brainer and the service is top notch. The ONLY reason we didn't book is that I have about 8 guests who are coming solo and not sharing a room, this makes it a little costly for them. If you have people sharing a room it is a great deal. I saw a lot of prices being tossed out on this thread. Some which seemed right others seemed way off. Your best bet is to email Adam & Lindsay, I believe they just got back from vacation so give them a few days. But they are very honest and straight forward. They would be able to answer all your quesitons. On Sunday I will post an album with tons of pictures I took at Playa Fiesta, BUT remember they are doing some renovations, which I believe are going to be complete soon. I say the construction plans and WOW it is going to be 50x more amazing that it already is. Any bride who chooses to have their guests stay here. YOu don't even have to do a take over you can just have them book on their own. YOu won't regret it. Yes you do have to consider doing a take over, may mean you are left with paying for rooms when guests back out. But you should know your guests well enough to know if they would leave you with a bill like that. Happy planning.... Congrats, Erica!!! I would love to know what you are doing to do so well. I have been doing cardio 4 times a week for 30 mins and strength training 3 times a week. I am also eating a big breakfast first thing in the morning and then setting a reminder on my phone to eat every 4 hours. So far in 3 weeks I have lost 5lbs. My ultimate goal is to lose 1lb a week, which will make me very happy til I hit 10lbs lost. This is so exciting. I wanted to tone up and shed a few pounds on my own. But this makes it a lot more fun:) How much have you lost overall? I am not wanting to lose a lot because I have my dress but need to shed like 10lbs and keep everything tight. I don't want to pay to have it altered. My biggest goal is to be tone, so I feel great in a bikini in front of all my friends for a week, but losing a few lbs along the way will be wonderful. Best of luck to all of you and not only with the contest but with feeling like a million bucks when you step into that dress you will all look so HOT in.

I searched high and low for a photographer and found J. Colginadro he is going to do 4 days of coverage for my wedding all day and night, well pretty much. The cost was only a little more than Elizabeth Medina, Paulina Ulloa and a few others in the PV area. I felt I didn't know what days and hours would capture the moment and he does amazing work. He did the photo in my signature. He is amazing and does PV weddings though he is based out of Houston. Thanks Kathy

Kathy- I have a couple of friends that live in PV and this year it rained cats & dogs, took out a lot of roads and ruined some buildings. BUT here is what I think. Take the risk. It is your day and believe me I have been to a lot of weddings and no matter what the weather is like everyone has had an amazing time. Also you never know maybe it won't rain at all. Or maybe it will and it will make for some great memories. Remember July is really really hot though and asking guest to be out in the sun between 10am-3pm is a lot to ask for more than 30 minutes. July is known for a lot of people having heat strokes and much more in PV, so be careful. Best Kathy

I was just ready through this thread and am very excited to hear how honest you are all being about this contest. I have been working with a trainer for 3 months now and am finally seeing the scale drop, but most important everything is tightening up. Yeah!!!! I feel stronger and much better though again the pounds have just started to drop. My biggest key to losing 5 lbs in 3 weeks is eating every 4 hours. I set a reminder on my cell phone and when it goes off I have to have a hand full of almonds, celery with peanut butter, turkey roll or something small. This has done amazing things for my hunger and weight. I am excited to weigh in tomorrow. Best to all of you..... Keep it up. I am very motivated by your feedback on this contest. Rock ON

Save $141 on your dress, might not seem like much, but it could go towards alterations. I have a transferrable Klienfeld credit I would love to sell it is for $1041, this is good for anything in the store. I am willing to sell it for $900 or best offer. I had put down a $2000 deposit on a dress there and the next week ended up going back for a sample sale and found my dream dress for $900. So they still have my other $, but they informed me I am able to put my credit in someone elses name. Please PM me if you are interested. Best Kathy

If you aren't looking for anything fancy in means of decor and all the glitz, you can totally do it yourself. PM and I can send you a conceirge's phone number in PV, she can help you with your rentals for a small fee. Also I know someone who has a villa in PV that could host a wedding for 30 people. You could get married pool side then have the house chef prepare dinner. It would be very intimate and romantic. Also Casa Kalista, you can book it through casabayvillas.com Please let Jennifer know I referred her, this villa hosts small weddings and the house chef is one of the best in town, he is able to cook with his team for a wedding up to 80 people. This villa also has an amazing view, is affordable, 12 guests can stay there and you could have the rest at the near by Barcelo all-inclusive or other villas, the grounds are very lush so you really don't need a lot of decor it is beautiful just the way it is. After looking at Villa Verde, Casa Carol Ann, Quinta Del Mar, Casa Cresencia and Casa Valarie here is the villa that took my breath away. Though QDM would be my second choice, when I think of asking my guests to travel all the way to MX I can only think of one location that would fulfill all my dreams and expectations and that is to celebrate at a private villa water front. My dreams have come true. Stewart, owner of Boca Bento (see my other review, amazing restaurant must dine at while in PV and his Plush catering company is doing our reception), introduced me to this Villa of my dreams. Literally when I walked out the sliding glass doors I was able to invision my wedding and it all came together. The villa is between Conchas Chinas and Mismaloya (yes it is very affordable and they do event only also...) The place has its own man made beach above the water. The house sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, has a grand piano, largest pool I have ever seen in PV and most private beach available. Truly amazing. We will be having our guest dine by the pool, 88 guests RSVP so far, and down below the pool area we will have the beach set up with a dance floor, two bars and lounge furniture to dance the night away form 9-12midnight. Yes you can go until midnight. That is how private this place is. This is standing out on the peak which is a great spot to have your ceremony, because guests will look out over the ocean. Or you can do like us and have your dance party down here. Here are some pictures: The house is undergoing a face lift, there will be white sand brought in for the beach, they are adding a grand staircase that leads to the beach. The beach area has a full facility restroom. This place has it all... PLUS IT CAN ACCOMMODATE OVER 80 WEDDING GUESTS. Post face lift pics This is standing in the infinity pool looking down at the beach area. It doesn't look big but could hold 100 plus wedding guests I am sure. This picture doesn't do the pool any justice the yard is huge and so is the pool. The house is very modern and has an open floor plan. All bedrooms face the ocean. Haven't bought it yet, but tried it on at Klienfelds and RK Bridal and I love it. Part of me wants something a little more bridal, but I don't want to burn up in the heat in my dress. Dress is by Marisa. Oh and this is the sample so I would get it a size bigger. Our wedding design is going to be 1920's Miami Beach Theme...

You two look so happy. I have a question? I am in the middle of dress shopping and can't decide between a bridal dress like yours a little more traditional or a beachy wedding dress, backless, charm. silk that isn't heavy. Were you hot in your dress any feedback. Congrats K

I agree.... Casa Kalista, Quinta Del Mar are both great options. Tomorrow night I will be posting info on the private villa I am using and contact information. I was just waiting to hear back from the manager of the villa. I don't want to speak badly of anyone, especially since I have no personal experience. But I too heard that Casa Valarie was very difficult to work with. Best Kathy

PF can be affordable if you have people suit up together in rooms. But if you have a guest or just a couple that don't want to share a room with any extra people it will run $1800 plus dollars for 5 days. Without airfare. Again PF would be my dream location but I have 3 guests who are coming and don't want to share a room and I couldn't ask them to spend $1800 for 5 nights in Mexico plus airfare. We are doing the dreams and it is going to be $540 all inclusive for 5 nights. Best of Luck Kathy

Pixly check out Bleu in Romantica Zone my friend is friends iwth the owner and I have seen pics they do a great job on a natural beach look. Best I would love to see after pics. PM and we can share some ideas

I spent some time with Adam and Lindsay who own Playa Fiesta and they are amazing. Truly a lovely couple. If you have a wedding there you will have the time of your life. We aren't doing ours there, because not all of our guests can afford it, but if you can you will not regret it. I have pictures and can tell you more if you would like to PM me. Best Kathy

The house and grounds are amazing. The villa is between Conchas Chinas and Mismaloya. It is a $7 cab ride to PV. The picture posted is before they cleaned it up too. No one was living there. They have since brought in white sand from Cancun for the beach and did a lot of changes to the place. It is truly heaven. The house is 4 bedrooms (sleeps and has the largest pool I have seen in PV. The beach area is huge it could hold a ceremony of 100 plus people. Let me know if you would like contact info. I don't want to post it incase the owner wants referrals only.

CONGRATS!!!! I just tried this dress on at Klienfelds and also fell in love with it. I love Lazaro, it is just perfect for a destination wedding. I am getting married at the Dreams in PV and I am trying to decide between 2 Lazaro dresses. Best Wishes Kathy
