  1. this site has 32"white with a yellow top... 32" White Paper Parasol
  2. Hi Kat, No, those weren't the "ones", but thanks for trying! I'm sending positive vibes to the shoe gods with hopes they send me in the right direction!
  3. I'm clueless as to how long to have the photographer...I was thinking start to finish, but that get's really pricey...I have a shot sheet, but it's not helping me to figure out the right amount of time...
  4. Thanks for trying everyone...They were white and the fabric looked dyeable and the bow was the front of the shoe... I think (it's been awhile! ...I just remember thinking to myself I have to have these shoes and forgot to tear out the pages from the magazines...arg...I'm trying to remember the first bridal magazines I purchased...maybe Instyle weddings...
  5. I found these really cute pair of shoes (Bagley Mischka if I remember correctly) in one of the many bridal magazines I bought (and tossed) and I can't find them anywhere online...they were a strappy sandal with a bow...the magazine(s) were dated late last year if I remember correctly...does anyone remember seeing them...I would love to find them, but no luck so far...any help would be much appreciated!
  6. this site may be helpful...they do custom work as well, so maybe they can add ribbing per special request if you can't find what you're looking for... Men's Casual Linen Shirts - Island Importer
  7. Did any of you gals have food on your cocktail tables and if so, what did you have? I'm thinking that marinated olives might be fun (if Dreams can provide) and a lot cheaper than flowers, but open to suggestions...

  9. I'm not sure...there is also a rack of lamb with another type of sauce and that is what we chose...we ma have to wing it...fingers crossed that it's good!
  10. We put together the menu without a tasting and I didn't see any reviews on the lamb, so I thought I'd check in to see if anyone had it for their reception dinner and what they thought? Thanks!
  11. Thanks for the info about Mi Casa...I tried to get a reservation there and they are unavailable at the time I need...I'm checking with other restaurants in San Jose to see if they have availability...
  12. The saga continues...I spoke with WC about refunding my deposit and this is what she said... "I'm sorry, I checked with Panchos and their policy is that no refund will be given. Please know that while an umbrella company owns both WIP and Pancho's we operate as separate companies, so just like all of the other vendors I give non-refundable deposits to, I gave them this non-refundable deposit with your confirmation and they are in receipt of that non-refundable deposit". WTF - I told her that I would better understand this policy if the restaurant was going to incur a financial loss by my relinquishing my reservation, but I'm giving two months notice whicg gives them ample time to fill the spot...I really don't understand why the company is being such a hard ass about this...
  13. Hi Jackie, My name is Christi and I'm getting married on June 1, 2008 at Dreams. Thanks!
  14. I think the best thing to do is to ask my WC what will happen to my deposit if I cancel and then take it from there...I read on somewhere that WIP owns Panchos...does anyone know if this is correct? Thanks!
  15. Who cares where it came from as long as it tatses good...and, no, you are not weird!
  16. The restaurant is Panchos and the WC is Katie from WIP.
  17. Yeah, the WC is making all of the arrangements...good idea about calling the restaurant directly...I'll do that. The contract does say the deposit is non refunable, so I may be screwed, but I thought if they can fill the spot, then I think it's fair to refund my deposit.
  18. OK, here is the situation...I made a $200 deposit through our WC for our rehearsal dinner and I made it without knowing prices, etc, so I jumped the gun. Now that I have pricing and food options, I'm not at all happy with either. My WC says that there is no negotiation on the pricing or food. Do you think it's unreasonable to try to cancel and ask for my deposit back? I'm giving 2 months notice, so it's not like it's only a few weeks away and the WC says the place is really popular, so my thought is that they shouldn't have a problem filling our time slot. I'm also annoyed that my WC's answer to a lot of my questions regarding pricing is that it's non negotiable. Negotiation is what business is all about...or so I thought. Is it just me??
  19. thanks maura, I appreciate the advice...we are having 30 people, so maybe it would be a good idea to do a less expensive bar option or nix it altogether...I'll have to ponder it...
  20. oops I sent b/f finishing...anyway, I'm thinking of looking elsewhere, although I would lose our deposit...any ideas for other less expensive places would be welcome...
  21. Hi Maura, we thought an open bar would be nice to offer since most of the guests are staying at an all-inclusive and if they ate at the resort, there would be no cost for food/beverages. We chose an off-site location so people would venture out and see more of Cabo than just the resort.
  22. Thanks...I was thinking of having lounge furniture for cocktail hour, but don't really want the added expense...maybe I'll just go with high top tables...do you know what they looks like...does Dreams provide chairs for the high tops?
  23. Thanks for the info. Is Dreams providing the high tables?
