I was nervous too and having your vet check is the best you can do for your baby...we live in an area that has a lot of mosquitos and when the vet saw the lump, he felt it and said most likely a mosqito bite, but definitely a bug bite...keep us posted and I'll be thinking of you guys tonight...BTW - the picture of buddy is SOOOO CUTE!

Hey Jenn, My Rhodesian Ridgeback had a lump too and it turned out to be a bug bite of some sort...it was the same as you described...big and hard, but it didn't hurt her at all...good luck and hopefully it's nothing serious!
