I'm so happy to hear that I was able to help you out! I agree that all their condos look beautiful. I was thrilled when I found them. We're getting married this October, so I'll be sure to write a thorough review for you when we get back. I've heard from a number of people though (including Pisces) that the condos are wonderful though, so I doubt the review will be much more than confirmation of that! Oh, and to echo Pisces's comment, the rate is for the room per night, there's no additional amount for the second person. I think you'll find North American accomodation in general very affordable. Every time we go to the UK, we're in shock at how much we spend on a decent room!

I bought my BM dresses!!!!
Sherry replied to nikkianddean's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I really like them. They're so pretty and perfect for a DW. I can't believe the price! -
I'm wearing a really long veil, but it's a mantilla with embroidery and beading, so I think that will weigh it down a little. I've also read about some places putting little clear weights at the bottom of your veil to weigh it down if it's windy. I was thinking about asking my veil designer to do something like that.

I tried on about 10 dresses and guess what? I love the first dress I saw. It is about $400 less then the others I tried on, and I don't have to wait for it to come in. The concern I have is that this was my first dress shopping day and what If I buy it and regret it? She has taken it off the floor for 1 week so I can take some friends back to try it on again. It is such a big decision. I will take a photo next time I am in and post it for your opinions. Wondering how do you know when you find the one dress? lol For me, it was kind of like with the FI, I just knew. Not "thought" I knew, but just knew!

Show off your shoes....

I love these! In my opinion, I think you'll be fine, but then keep in mind that I'm wearing these (also patent leather): I figure my feet might get hot, but oh well, I'm going to be having too much fun to care, and I want to be wearing shoes that I love this much on my wedding day! I'm not sure that helps you at all, but it might help to know that you're not the only one wearing patent leather at a sunny DW! -
Bridesmaids dresses

Here's my BM dress: -
We found the BM dresses today: http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/h...IMG_0159-2.jpg I had originally wanted to get dresses in this camel/tan colour, but when we first started looking, it seemed like there was nothing out there. I had switched to chocolate brown and had just told both of my BM's to just pick whichever knee-length J. Crew dress they liked in chocolate brown. Then of course I started seeing all the camel/tan dresses in the bridal magazines this month and I was wondering why on earth I couldn't seem to find any of them. Then yesterday, I was walking by a Femme de Carriere store, and this Sandra Angelozzi dress caught my eye. My sister (MOH) went to check it out this morning and she loved it so much that she bought it on the spot! She said that even if I ended up deciding on another dress, she loved it so much that she had to have it! Then my other BM went in later today and she bought it right away too. I'm so glad we found one that they both love so much! Yay!

You look so pretty Maura. I love that last pic!!

Hey BB5, my wedding coordinator is handling the flowers, so I'm not sure. I don't even know who they use yet. I'll let you know when I find out who they're using though. I hope you hear back from someone soon!

Thanks for posting those pics. I live in Calgary, a 1.5 hour drive from Banff, and when I first moved here 7 years ago, I used to go out there all the time. When my FI and I first started dating, it seemed like we were out there every other weekend. Now I haven't been out there in at least 6 months. Busy with work, but that's no excuse. I think I'll tell my FI we have to go out there this weekend. It's a crime to live so close and not go often!

They're all so pretty! #1, 8 and 9 are my favourites though. -
Yay! Finally! *UPDATED*

Oh yeah, and the silly moment during the proposal, sadly that seems to be pretty normal. Apparently I just sat there with my mouth hanging open, and then I put the ring on before I even said 'yes'. At least, that's how my FI tells the story! -

Which dress do you like better?
Sherry replied to APRILOO's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
First of all, I think they're both really pretty. I voted for #2 though, because I like the flowiness of it for a DW. -
Did you REALLY stay out of the sun?
Sherry replied to alex's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I totally know what you mean! I'll be in Maui for 4 days before my wedding, and it's going to be so hard to not get tan lines. A couple of my friends who've had DW's though, have told me that you're so busy meeting with your vendors and guests those few days before the wedding that you don't actually have that much time outside. I hope that's true, because I really don't love the idea of investing in a bunch of strapless tops and dresses that I'll never wear again! -

Thanks everyone for all your feedback. It does sound like different bodies react differently to different pills, which seems to make sense. I've always been really lucky with the pill, not really ever having any side effects. I think the worst thing that's ever happened for me was that when I first went on Ortho Tri Cyclen (the first pill I was ever on), I was really moody for the first few weeks. After the first 3 weeks or so, it went away and I was fine after that. My sister has had a bunch of problems with a number of different pills though, so I know how lucky I am. It's funny that even two sisters can have such different experiences. Anyway, I appreciate all the feedback, and at least if I start experiencing any of the symptoms you guys did, I'll know right away what's causing it. Hopefully it will be much the same as the other pills I've been on. Crossing my fingers... On a completely different note, Maura, I LOVE your new avatar pic! What a pretty picture!

Hmmm... maybe I'll go back to my doctor and ask her to recommend another one or just put me back on Diane-35. It was actually another doctor filling in for my regular doctor who prescribed the Alesse anyway. My regular doctor may not have a problem with me staying on Diane-35, which at this point, would be my preference, because it's always worked for me, and I actually lost weight while on it!
