Yes, they set everything up right by the pool. I don't know if you familiar with Barceló Maya Palace but it's right by the swim up bar.

Ok, here we go….. 1. Did they design the chulupa and draping for you? I designed the gazebo based on what I’ve seen here and the magazines. I just told them what to do and they did it almost perfect!!! (Pictures help a lot, so print a bunch of them) 2. Who hung the paper lanterns? Did you bring or did they provide? I brought the lights with me and they hung them for me) 3. Same question regarding your centerpieces (candleholders, lights etc.) I brought all the decorations with me, including centerpieces. It was a pain in a butt to carry them over on the plain but it was worth it. 4. How/when di dyou use the mariachi band and what was your impression of them. Mariachi band played during the ceremony. They were awesome. Such a great addition to the romantic atmosphere. 4. what kind of sound system did you have at the ceremony? I hired a DJ. He was awesome!!! If I were to get married again and have a traditional wedding I would’ve definitely bought it!!! When I saw it for the first time I was like, oh my god, it looks like a giant cup cake, but when I put it on I almost fainted!!! I spent 3 hours in it and it felt like I was just wearing a sweat suit (that’s how comfortable I felt in it. )

It's probably not a destination wedding dress but I can't get over how beautiful it is.... It costs about $4500.. Ouch…..

Mike/Miguel Cantarell is awesome!!! He filmed our wedding just 13 days ago. I didn't get my DVD yet but i have a feeling it's going to be very nice. Just watching him do his job was amazing. He's a sweetheart and such a hard worker. He showed up at 4 (right on time) and left at 11pm. Can't wait to get my DVD

We had the best time ever! The wedding was better then i imagined! A little too short though. They told us to shut the music off at 11pm since we were too close to the buildings. I didn't have time to post the full review yet but i will. You can ask me questions for now if you'd like!

May be it's a little off topic but i just wanted to say one thing i would've done differently! I would shop for a wedding dress more carefully! Out of everything I could pick wrong I picked a bad wedding dress. It’s was so uncomfortable, sliding off my chest the whole time, so all I see on my pictures now is my boobs, they’re all over the place. I’m probably overreacting a little bit, but all I know is I wasn’t happy with it! So my advice to brides to be would be pick your dress carefully, try it on 1000 times, put your hands up, then down, then up again and jump , twist ets. And takes lots of pictures of it! See how it looks on pictures. Then if you still love your dress – BUY IT!!! Other wise you will be looking at your pictures going: "What was I thinking…."

I'll start by saying that before I even got to Mexico I loved the fact that he responded on my every single e-mail I sent to him within 15 minutes. He answered my every singe question and trust me I had a lot of them Then we decided to have a meeting 2 days prior the wedding at the lobby of the resort to talk things over. He showed up exactly on time- not a minute latter. It's hard to find punctual people these days and for me it's VERY important. Finally the wedding day. I can't even think of a one thing he did wrong. He introduced us, let people know when it was a cake cutting time. He played the music I wanted and didn't play what I didn't want. So the bottom line is I'm so happy I got him as a DJ for the wedding. People loved the illuminated dance floor, the white long and skinny balloons that appeared from nowhere. So I can't thank him enough for making my wedding so much more special. And the best part of it is that you can have all that for such a low price!!!!!!! So thank you Carlos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I own you guys an apology!!! The news about Barceló allowing outside photographer is just a roomer. I thought i got the news from a trusted source but apparently it wasn't. I called the resort my self just to make sure and they said they policy is still the same. I was just so excited for all the future Barceló brides that i couldn't wait to brake the news. I should have called the resort before i posted this. I'm very sorry and i really hope nobody has booked an outside photographer yet.

Ok. Confirmed directly by the WC. But i would definitely get it in writing if I were you..

Barceló is the most beautiful resort I’ve ever been to. And it was such a shame that they didn't allow outside photographers to capture it all. (Not to mention - free advertisement) I sent lots of e-mails to my wedding coordinator regarding that issue (and I’m sure I wasn't the only one). She was going to talk to her boss about it . Well, looks like she did but too bad for me I already paid for mine. Any way, there is a website that’s dedicated to Barceló and Barceló only! The moderator of that website talks to the management all the time. She was the one who broke the news. Please make sure you confirm that before you book anyone

Barceló Maya resort in Riviera Maya will now allow outside Photographers. There is no exclusivity with the Photoshop photographers. Your outside photographer can come and take photos but cannot use the facilities, food. etc. If they want to, you can buy them a day pass. I already paid for my photographer who I’m brining with me. So good for you- sucks for me...

I called the airlines. They said that the 1 bag per person rule starts on the 5th of May (I’m leaving the 2nd). And the carry on should not exceed 11x14x26 inches. So I packed all my centerpieces in wine boxes and planning on taking them with me on the plane..

I’m so jealous of you girls. I’m leaving in exactly a week and still NO shoes... I need flats (my dress tuned out to be too short). I kind of got my heart set on the white flat ankle wrap sandals but I can't find them anywhere now.
