My friend used AA and her flowers are really beautiful! Even my other friend who hates fake flowers thought they were beautiful and classy. The ones she had are also really heavy~ish so they really aren't skimpy!!! I think I'm going to use AA as well. I was worried as well until I saw them. Her post is somewhere on here. Actually it will probably be discounted for you since the same at the ROR would probably cost you way more. Plus you get to keep them forever

Oh that wouldn't be good. The salon that I talked to about my WToo BM dresses never said anything to me and I told the girls we weren't ordering until October

Here is my e-mail to the RIU: To Whom It May Concern: I am writing with concerns to some situations that have occurred at the RIU Ocho Rios between April and now in regards to outside photographers hired for individual weddings. I will not go into details at this time, but I am planning on using a Jamaican photographer for the day, and not the ROR PhotoShop for my May 9, 2009 wedding. Please advise me on what the policy is. I do not want trouble for my photographer, and do not want my wedding interrupted due to issues between PhotoShop and this photographer. Whatever you do, get it in writing!! This makes me nervous as well. It seems like Michael is behind a lot of this. If he wants people to stop saying what a horrible person he is, he needs to stop acting this way!! Many brides choose to use him and are happy with him, so hes getting business. But some of us just have a different vision of what they want out of their photographs. Isn't it enough that we are already paying for a guest pass and the "breach of contract" fee

Garden Ridge is like Christmas Tree Shops. I would also look there. I always go there when I'm up in the Northeast...I miss that place!!!

Its fantastic. They always have the most random stuff you never thought you would want!! All of there Christmas stuff is already out. I can't believe that! Its not even August!!!

Hey all, I don't have a picture (didn't have my camera with me and haven't bought these yet)....but Garden Ridge has great OOT bags for $1 each!! They are tote bag sized. Not sure of the material, but its thin, but still, $1 is great and they fold down small. They also come in multiple colors, especially those tropical ones ;-) I'm probably going to buy mine this weekend so I'll take pics.

Ok, that makes sense. I wasn't sure if they give you 1 or 2. I knew the originals were sent back to you, but you never know how long the passport people are going to take!! Maureen, I forgot to congratulate you on the pregnancy!! I know from being on these boards that you had been trying!!!

Anyone know how you would go about getting additional certified copies of a Jamaican wedding certificate? Or do they just return that to you with your passport?

I'm going to use the rose petals from petalgarden.com Although its windy, from what I hear, they don't blow away too bad if you don't use a runner. I know other girls have used things like tiki torches (although all ROR weddings seem to be in the daylight) or starfish. My colors are the same, though, and I think I'm going to use a mix of white, fuschia and orange petals. They have freeze-dried as well as silk.

It may not be the RIU, but it gives you an idea of what the setup would be like. The RIU pool has a similar shape. I really wouldn't worry about how its going to look - I'm sure it will be beautiful

Such beautiful pictures!!! I especially like the ones with the effect that makes it almost look like a postcard. Any problems with brining in an outside photog for you?

FI and I do the same thing..both of us work for a large, well-known Investment company and he makes a little more than I do (maybe $1000 more per year) but thats more due to the fact that he started 9 months before me.
