For those that have used her two questions: - How far in advance did you order? - Has anyone from Canada used her? I love her new plumerias!! I am not from Canada, but I don't think that it will be a problem for her to ship there. Our wedding was in May...I ordered in October or November, because I wanted to get the flowers a bit early. I think I received them in December and then she had to re-do my bouquet due to my dog attacking it, which I got back in January. Roberta is FAST!!
  2. I believe they also sell them at Target (or at least they did...). We got ours from World Market, so if you have one near you, check there too!
  3. We did not give a tip.... Its not that Chandlyn and Nikki were bad. They were good at taking instruction. BUT I did all the planning, all of the research, all of the cotnact with my TA (who also played the roll of my wedding planner - arrangements for the cake, etc), found and hired a great photog (and paid the day pass), put all the paper lanterns together and brought them to her, put all the favors together....it goes on and on. On the wedding day, they did set up the chairs for me.... For the reception, they did the setup with some of the resort staff, but my SILs decorated my cake and set out half the stuff instead of relaxing after the wedding. When we asked Chandlyn numerous times to take down our 30 lanterns the next day. they weren't taken down. Then it rained....and they all got ruined (as well as the batteries). So all in all, they did their jobs. Nothing more, nothing less. But we DID tip our fabulous waitstaff both the night of our rehearsal dinner, as well as our wedding (who were the ones who had to take apart the entire reception area, bag everything up and drag it to Chandlyn's office). And our amazing bartender. So the ones who were SO deserving got the cash!
  4. I was going to say...you might want to look at/consider the "free" package and add on. I just sent you a PM...I think that we might have a connection through my cousin...

  6. I didn't know that Tai did lanterns. Do you know how much they cost? We wanted to save money, so it was really cheap to buy the lanterns with coupons at BBB and bring them down. We just left them there. For anyone looking for them, they are 50% off right now there, and then you can use a coupon (right now, 5 for $4.99)

Thanks in advance You might be talking about my wedding. I bought the lanterns at Bed Bath & Beyond. You can take a look at my pics using the link at the bottom and then go to reception pics. Chandlyn and the ROR staff hung them for me.
  8. You are all set. It is legally recognized in the US. You can just take the license to the SS office and start the name change process (if you are doing that). Otherwise, nothing else to do. ...Now if the RIU would send MY certificate, I would be happy. Congrats on your wedding!

Keep me posted! Yeah, I thought the same! I have my TA on the case too. I really hope they get it together...this has been the most annoying thing about the whole process, and there is nothing we can do about it...
  10. Yeah...I would really like to change my name at some point But really, its not that big of a deal. Probably won't take the time to jump thru those hoops until next year when my time off refreshes.
  11. We did the same, except I think that we glued panes 3 and 4 and poured between those 2. You might have to dump your sand and repour when you get home. Our sand blended together, so we did a re-enactment when we got home
  12. My response from Chandlyn dated 8/31/09 Let me apologize for the delay as I was on vacation. I had sent an email to the head Office for Marriage certificates and they had responded requesting additional time for processing. I will however snd a follow up email today and get back to you. Regards Chandlyn

If people are going to spend a ton of $$ on their poolside wedding receptions, the ROR should really consider the noise level of the beach parties...
  14. Thanks for sharing and CONGRATS!! Can't wait to see your pics I am REALLY surprised about your poolside reception. We had ours on Sat night, and although you could hear the beach party, it was in no way disruptive...
  15. I only have my photog to suggest. You can see if hes available - Brian Nejedly. Jamaica Wedding Photographer - Brian Nejedly I think my package was like $1900 for a little over 6 hours. He lives in Ocho Rios.

Sorry about that, I have problems sometimes at work and this site...but its like $12.00 for shipping and I don't mind shipping it. It would be a total of $42. Is that ok? Send me your e-mail and address and I will send you an invoice. I can get it out to you on Monday if you would like.

My only issue is shipping to Englad. I am not sure what the price would be for that?
  18. GORGEOUS flowers!! The website for plumerias: PlumeriasWeddingFlowerBoutique Word on packing: Since they are the same flowers Roberta uses, you will not have a problem. If you pack them, they will "fluff" right back up. I put mine in my rolling carry-on suitcase nestled in carry-on clothes. Word to the wise - these flowers have LOTS of wires (maybe looks like a bomb during screening??). I had to unpack my very packed bag in front of TSA to show them that they were flowers. Then I had to carefully repack... at 5 am...

I kept them in the box that they were shipped in and only had a few casualties. I had way more than enough shells (and cake for that matter)
  20. I am so sorry this has happened to you...that is really crappy. I cannot believe a vendor on BDW would actually do this...well, I can believe it. Usually they get banned. Rest assured that ROR does have beautiful flowers. You might pay a little more, but you have a good option for backup. If you don't get your flowers before you leave, make sure you fight to get your money back. Enjoy your wedding, time with family and friends, most importantly your husband!! You will LOVE the ROR. It was the best decision ever! Can't wait to see pics, and read your review.
  21. **I can send more pics if you would like. Please see siggy pic for an idea** Light Ivory Extra-full cut 110" in lenth Pencil Edge Clear plastic comb Please make an offer...free shipping!
  22. Hey! I used real touch flowers made by roberta at PlumeriasWeddingFlowerBoutique We got my bouguet, 1 MOH, 3 BM, 2 bouts, 2 mom's bouquets I could not have been more pleased. I really loved the fact that I still have my beautiful flowers on my dining room table.
  23. We brought along our Bose Docking station. It was loud and crisp. Not sure what the ROR uses, but from what I hear, you can hook it up using an AUX wire.
