Yeah I am kind of at a point where I get annoyed, complain to FI and then we crack up. She is totally excited. This is the same girl that started packing like MONTHS ago. I think that she is really, just excited and sharing it with me. I just keep telling her that I will NOT make any plans, I will not tell her all the wedding plans til we there, and I will not tell her what is in the OOT bags so she doesnt bring duplicates ;-) She is really Type A. I am too but not nearly that bad. She was like that for the Las Vegas bach party too. Drove everyone crazy.

So we have people arriving at various times and dates over the 3 days preceding our wedding. We arrive Wed, like many other people. One of my bridesmaids has been hounding me via text message for the past few days…wanting me to make solid plans. It’s driving me crazy. I would like to be able to meet our guests as they arrive at the hotel, especially family! Here is a taste of the spamming that I am getting…I have told her numerous times that in no way will we be making solid plans until we are in Jamaica. “Were you still planning on getting drinking glasses for everyone?†– YES “â€Were we still planning on having a group outing to Margaritaville? I want to do that. I also want to eat out at least 2 more times. I also want to go on a booze cruise. I will go ahead and book this now, can you just give me the names of the people going?†– OMG we are staying at and ALL INCLUSIVE!! “I have read that if you tip, you can get into the ala cartes without making resos. I am going to do this every day. You should too.†– Great. Let me just tell my fam to bring a bunch of extra money for that free restaurant. “Do we have Mammee Bay booked at all for the rehearsal dinner? If not I have to go there, because it’s the best.â€â€¦..then a few days later…â€Are we eating at Mammee Bay for your wedding dinner?â€â€¦.then a few days later…. “Where is the rehearsal dinner?†– I don’t know. When I know I will tell you. Scratch that, you will find out in Jamaica with all the other guests. “Are you upgrading your room? I have read bad reviews of the standard rooms. I am going to email the travel agent and have her make them upgrade me. I will tip them if it comes to that.†– Well, we booked a Jr. Suite. That is all we are willing to pay for. If they are nice enough to upgrade us for our wedding, then yey! “I am going to e-mail this tour guy I found who has room for 12 on his bus. I want to go to the falls Thurs AM so I need to know who else can go. I also want to go into town and shop and go to some restaurants. I want to do this early in the stay vs. late in the stay because of the wedding and packing and stuff () †– Well I have already told you Thurs is probably out. Not changing my stance on commitments! Those have all been over the past week. There are literally like 30 texts from her, and I thought it was over after a reprieve of a day or two. Then today… “Do you have anything on for Friday? I really want to swim with the dolphins but it’s a rip off. I want to think of all the possible activities for Friday. The last Falls climb is at 4 so we have to go earlier.†– Well, again, we have people coming in on Friday. And our rehearsal at 5:30. I told her MAYBE we can go at 1. Haven’t heard anymore, and wow this is long :-) Just thought I would give you all and idea of ONE CRAZY BRIDESMAID!! This girl…I just have no words. Such a sweet person, but please, just give me a break. Its not like I haven’t been planning a wedding or anything!!

Fanstastic find! I checked online at IKEA to see if they had them in my store but they dont :-( I already have my OOT bags, but I want one for myself!

I agree with sunsetbride. You put an RSVP date out there for a reason. If people decide to book late, then oh well. Don't kill yourself. If anyone decided to book now, with us leaving in 20 days, I would not get more stuff IMHO....I just have no room left in my luggage!

Would you be willing to split up the chargers? I would only need 25

Carly, Another good thing to put in the ROR section are the reception options. I will try to find the many posts that cover this topic today if its slow. But it seems like there is a new post with the question of what kind of receptions are offered every few days.

There is tons of info in the Jamaica forum on what your options are. I would look through the posts and also use the search function. You will find all of the information that you need.

The SeaGrape is used for the beach reception. It closes at night so you would be paying per person to keep it open for your private party. This is usually where all of the beach receptions are held, although I have read here and there that people have had theirs at the beach gazebo as well as on the beach down towards the far end, but there are no bars there, so they have to bring a table over and set up a bar. You can also have your reception poolside, which also has a bar, and which you have to pay to keep open. There is a review that was just posted and she was able to use the lagoon/pond area for the reception. It looked really nice.

I am going to wear mine below the e-ring. I am not sure if this is traditional? But its what I usually see.

We honestly just used a hot glue gun to glue a dot under each flower to hold it in place. It worked fine and I think it will weigh the line down a tiny bit more.

I am also going with the free package. A lot of my "upgrades" are coming from stores here in the US and we are bringing them down with us. The cake is also outsourced. I think that the only thing that I will have the RIU provide is the tulle for the gazebo. I am also an ROR bride.

Hey All! Ihad my BD shoot at a beautiful B&B on March 28. A really good friend of mine photographed them, so all I have to pay for was the room and then any makeup and outfits I wanted to get. Since I needed new makeup for the wedding, I went to MAC and had them do the makeup for me. I am hopeing to get more of the proofs back, but here are a few teasers...

I am using Flickr. I paid for a 1-year membership for unlimted hi-res images. Its such an easy site to use, and I didn't want to have to walk everyone through it!

My 2-year-old niece is getting some sand toys and a bag. We didn't want to spend too much since we already spoil her rotten. I think I might also get her a coloring book and crayons for the reception too.

I had 2 showers. One of my friends threw the first one for me, as a surprise. So afterwards, I gave her a really nice fruit bowl (when I threw her her surprise baby shower, she gave me a Tiffany's candy dish). She is not a bridesmaid, but a really good friend. And the shower must have been quite expensive, since it was so beautiful and formal (sit down lunch, mimosas...at a B& My second was thrown by 2 of my Aunts. I made a basket for each of them with a personalized wine glass, bottle of wine and one of those hand-blown wine bottle cheese boards with cheese knife. They were so tearful over it and never expected that. It was just a little token of my appreciation, since I really did appreciate the shower. It was held at a Country Club and was really beautiful as well...they put a lot of effort into it. I know gifts are not expected, but I love to give ;-)

I actually got the pier one ones as well. We were going to sell them but then decided to use them in the end. All 25 of them are nicely packed in a suitcase and ready to head to Jamaica. I don't think they are necessary, but they are really nice, $1 each, and they take up a nice amount of room with the towel in the OOT bag ;-) I have 9 left. I did not pack one in the end for FI or I, or my 2-year-old niece and it worked out in the end.

For us, we only have 25-27 people so I am not too worried about that. We will just have my cousin announce all the important things

Thats what we are doing too. And FI gets a Bose Sound Dock out of it so I guess he's happy.
