I did notice that in the Plaza menu you can buy access to the profiles. I have purchased anything yet, so I don't know if it works...but it's in option. -
Tell us something we didn't know about you.

I know I haven't been on here long, so you know almost nothing about me...but I've had such fun reading everyone's posts that I thought I'd share some things about me. I'm a Navy brat. I grew up all over, but spent most of my childhood in Hawaii. We lived there from '75 to '84 while my pop was a submarine commander. My pop was fairly high ranking officer. When he retired they had a change of command ceremony and it made the newspaper. I'm a jewelry historian and restoration specialist. I am also working on my Graduate Gemology degree from GIA. I'll soon have the the letters G.G. after my name. (When I graduate). I'm so excited. FI and I are what many of you would consider a "Goth". Yes, I am one of those black clad weirdoes, even at 35. I have been since I was a teenager. I'm not really fond of the label because the press seems to call any nut job in black one. I'm sorry, but Marilyn Manson, Evanescence, etc. are not Goth. It's a sub-culture based on a style of music and nothing more. Here is a pic of me in Leipzig Germany at a Gothic Music Festival with some members of a Seattle band called Glis. I'm the one with the purple dreadlocks. -
I'm pierced and tattooed, so I am the last one to knock someone else’s body art. I have a piercing close to that area of the body, but not that one. There are few people on this earth who have been privileged enough to see mine. I’m not a fan of that piercing, but for a slightly different reason. That is a tough area to heal and I have seen more than one of those that looks infected. That’s gross!

Is it the Walgreens Downtown or the one of the Walgreens on Captiol Hill. If it's the Walgreens up on 15th. There are some fab places in that area and parking is pretty easy. Costal Kitchen, Chutneys, Canturbury, 22 Doors, Liberty...that's a great area.

These are great. They remind me of the book Letters from a Nut. I think I'm going to send these to all my girlfriends and tell them to read it when they need a laugh.

Bleu is on the very cozy side...like J M said it's a tight fit, but we've gotten larger groups in there before, you just have to call ahead first. Bleu is one of my fav places in Seattle. The food is really good. If we are worried about size, we could try Bleu's sister restaurant Chez Gaudy, but for people who don't know Capitol Hill it may be tough to find. Pink door is not fancy, it's a little more Cabaret. The site should give you an idea. The Pink Door - Italian-American Restaurant & Cabaret Lounge - Seattle, Washington

I think the Pink Door in Post Alley might be a good spot. Good for and drinks and a fun place. The area around the Market is the best bet for parking as the market begins to close up around this time. There is a whole row of metered (which you don't have to feed after 7) street parking on Western behind the Market. Pretty much anywhere else in the Downtown areayou will have to pay. Or we can always try Capitol Hill. Maybe somewhere like Rosebud or Bleu. I never pay for parking on the Hill.

Reception at Margarittaville?
Lilpaisley replied to Agape Gems's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
I have been to the Margarittavilles in both Ocho Rios and Mo Bay. I like the OR one so much better. We spent the whole day there with about 8 friends. It was a blast. (I have a few pics if you want to see any). When we were at the OR one we were not at an AI, so we didn't think to much about the cost of food and drinks...however when I was at the Mo Bay one we were staying at an AI and I had a hard time with spending the extra $$ for drinks, but the music was great and we had a blast dancing. Also, I went on Margarittaville's website before we left and I was able to print out some coupons before and that helped. I then made copies and gave one to each person in our group. I don't know if they are still online, but that might help. One thing I do remeber at the OR location was the cruise ship passangers. The place was within walking distance of the cruise ships and it got really busy. I think at 11pm you most likely won't have to deal with this, but you might want to check that out just to make sure. -
If this dress was on Oprah...that's why it is on backorder. I worked for Nordstrom.com for 10 years and every time something we sold was mentioned on her show we sold out in less then 24 hours. It used to drive us nuts as we only would get notified in advance 1/2 the time that the items would be on the show. The other half we would find out the week before it aired, which is not enough time to get more stock. I would love to see this dress in person. It looks like it might be tough for a more petite frame to wear, but I could be wrong.

I agree with the PP about going to more than one Doc for a consult. I almost got implants a few years ago, I was really close. I visited 3 of the most highly recommended Docs in my area. I was really glad I did, because the #1 doc on my list turned out to be not a good fit for me. I am fairly petite and he wanted to Pamela Anderson me. The last doc I visited was a female and her suggestions and advice were more in tune with what I wanted. I ultimately decided against the implants as my mom had breast cancer. After all my research I found out that as a daughter of a breast cancer survivor, getting implants is not such a great idea (they mess up mammograms, self exams, etc.) Turns out it was a great decision for me. FI hates implants and I have already had a "lump" scare. So please do lots or research and give yourself plenty of time to recover. I'm not against implants, they just aren't for me. Besides my mom went up a few sizes when she had her reconstruction and I think it helped w/ her mental healing.

Is this too cheezy?
Lilpaisley replied to Lilpaisley's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Cool, I'm glad to see that my makeup addiction might pay off. They are the only ones that still carry my fav bath stuff...Jaqua Buttercream Frosting. FI loves the smell and says he now thinks differently about cupcakes -
I have an idea for my OOT bags and I want your opinions on if it is too cheezy, cheap, or whatever. I'm an Ulta addict and always go there and make my purchases when they are having a gift with purchase promotion. Over time I've ended up with about a dozen of the free makeup bags the GWPs comes in. I've been throwing them in a box with the intention of taking them to Goodwill, but now think I can use them in my OOT bags to put the sunscreen, Advil, etc in. They are all brand new (I just took out the free cosmetics) many still have tags attached. They are all different shapes, colors, etc. So do you think it a bad idea to use these because they were a free GWP? Kris

I live on Capitol Hill and my shop is on Phinney Ridge near the Zoo. I don't close up till 7pm, so it's easier if it's closer to Downtown, Cap Hill, Ballard, etc areas...otherwise I won't get there until after 8 pm. If that's the time we all meet, then driving to Tukwilla is cool.
