  1. Hi Jaimie, Congratulations, I'm glad your plans are coming together.
  2. Wow! This is a tough one. You probably should invite them and if anyone else says anything about it, just say you were having a small wedding.
  3. I lived there when I was little and now it is so much different. I'm sure you've heard of Tlaquepaque, that's a great place where you can go shopping and find amazing stuff. Prices are ok, but it's worth looking around. Mana (singing group) owns a chain of restaurants, one is Genghis Khan and the food is awesome - steak, the other one is Nude which has sushi and I can't remember the name of the Mexican restaurant, but if you ask around I'm sure someone will know. They are all very unique and have wonderful decor. Enjoy!
  4. I've never taken this, but know of people who have and they said the same thing. Good luck!
  5. That should be plenty of time since you only have to be there 2 days prior. If there are any issues the WC should be able to tell you when you book your wedding.

Hi there Zarifa, Welcome and congratulations. This is a great forum!
  7. Honestly, they look great and I think you did a wonderful job and you put a lot of work into them. When I showed my Mom our invitations she wasn't too thrilled, all she said was that they look different. She was use to the traditional invite. If you like them, use them!
  8. Hi Megan... welcome! You're going to have a lot of fun in this forum.

  10. I feel the same way about the Melia and the Me, they never got back to me, I called, I email and nothing. I couldn't believe it!
  11. When I asked my nephew to be my ring bearer, I got down on my knees and I asked him if he would be in my wedding then I gave him a ring bearer book. Now he thinks he'll be a ring bearer in any wedding he's invited to.
  12. This wouldn't work for me. I can't share my future husband with anyone else, I'm very old fashion. NO way.
  13. Hi Rachel! Happy planning and congratulations!
  14. Congratulations! It looks like everything turned out great.

But I'm sure the next job will be better than the last. There's always something to learn. Unfortunately advertising is so unpredictable and designers always are the first ones to get let go. I've been in the industry over 10 years and I've been laid off about 3 times. However, every job after the last gets better. I'm in a bind now because I don't know what I want to do, whether I want to go back to an agency or try corporate again... so much to think about.
  17. I've been trying to shop and get some few fun beach clothes for my honeymoon. However, with all of the wedding expenses my clothing budget is shrinking. But have you seen the awesome clothes Boston Proper ~ The official site of Boston Proper Catalog has?

Same question from me - what are Jute bags? as I promised here are the picture invitations with the jute bags, now you can get a better idea. For the labels I iron 200 thread fabric to the shiny side of freezer paper, cut the paper down to 8.5x11 ran it through the ink jet printer and we had labels. I glue them down with fabric glue and that was it. Take a look:
