WOO HOO another Nov. bride! Cuba-wow wonderful!
  2. Hi, I'm finding that it's still pretty expensive to do a wedding in Cabo. BUT, I think that if you are willing not to make your decor so fancy, Destination is the best way to go and save on your wedding. What I mean is that the beach is beautiful in itself so you don't need to go over the top on flowers and things, that can save you a lot of money. Also many quotes are priced per guest so if you are having less people come because you are going farther away that will help. Is your heart set on Cabo? If not I would look into places that aren't as expensive. Cabo seems (from my location tracking) to be on the higher side of things. I have looked into Puerto Vallarta and that seemed to be much more affordable. I looked in a small town called Sayluta and things were GREAT prices. My Fiance and I were just really set on Cabo since we have spent every summer there for the past 5 years. Anyway, I hope that helps and good luck with planning!

We did not run across this type of service that does not have any fees, short of just giving out your bank account number, which is tacky and not cool at all! Thanks for all the details! I feel more comfortable doing the registry, knowing all of you are too! thanks for the moral support!

If you go to the site and enter our registry number, 14462089, you can check ours out to see if you like it. There's a FAQ as well, if you have QQQ about it. That looks like a great one! thanks for sharing that. Do they charge a fee? How do you get the money in the end, and do you get an itemized list of who got you what? thanks for all ideas!

  7. Hi! as others have said those hut things aren't really around in Hawaii, but what about renting a small house or condo? Check this website out Hawaii Vacation Rentals - VRBO® Vacation Rentals by Owner Hawaii - Hawaii Travel Just click on the area you want to go and you can find places for rent anywhere from $60 per night to thousands for bigger houses. I have been to Maui 4 times and Kona once. Kona seems to be a little more rustic and underdeveloped. Its mostly black volcano rock but has very beautiful beaches. It's not as crowded as the main islands. And there is lots to see, such as a continually flowing volcano! Maui is great. If you go there you have to travel to the "7 pools" you drive this amazingly beautiful very green road in order to get there and then you hike through a spectacular forrest to 7 different waterfalls. I mention this because it sounds like you want to get out and see things on the island and there is lots to do in Hawaii. Hope that helps
  8. We're thinking of doing the honeymoon registry...but for some reason I feel little weird about it, but I don't know why. My Fiance and I have lived together for 4 years and we really don't need anything...but we do need a honeymoon! I would love to hear feedback from anyone who has done it or is going to it. Thanks!
  9. My Fiance wants to go to Bora Bora for our honeymoon

  17. Hi! Your wedding site looks great! you have done so much! I haven't done barely anything (yikes). I'm new to the site, but trying to figure it out as i go along. read all the information that comes with the welcome letter, it helps. But if you can get things rolling and enough points, I think it will be well worth it. I have already found a WC on the site that i'm thinking about working with. Good luck and happy planning!
  18. Hi Megan, Welcome! If I were having an intimate wedding I would do it in Fuji or Bora Bora. It just can't get more beautiful than that. Is there any place that you and your Fiance have been to before that means something to you? Or is there a place that has a certain flare that means something to you? That helped us...we tried to think of places that we have had special times in so that we could share it with the people we love. Also with your son, just take a red-eye and he will be fine! We recently went to an intimate wedding in hawaii on Kona Island. It was PERFECT. Maybe look into the smaller less sought after islands and resorts and it can be more affordable. this site is helpful. I'm sure you will find some ideas. Good luck!
  19. Wow- Ireland would be amazing! If it were up to just me (and not my fiance as well) we would get married in Europe. It's just so beautiful there. Mexico is also great, as that is where we decided to have our wedding. Have you looked into other places besides Tulum? There are so many beautiful places in Mexico. Search this site, you will definitely find helpful tips. Good luck!
  20. welcome! I'm new as well and trying to figure out this site! It's actually been really helpful, but I still have a lot to learn and a lot to do! good luck!
