  5. Good luck ladies! you are all awesome, you should all be members of the month!!
  6. sounds great! looks great! I'm glad it all worked out!!!
  7. Those cakes looked incrediable! I love cupcakes, I want to do that for our wedding. I actually don't think i have a choice, since they have to be vegan and doing a cake is not working out. I missed the speakers! oh well, the lady took forever with the make up. You can't really tell how bad it really was, but it looked really bad. the lipstick was orange, I took it off immediately after, and before i took the pictures. thought i'd share anyway.
  8. It was a great show! I was so bummed i missed out on the raffel...did you see those prizes! honeymoon in Fiji, i could have used that! I got my make done, and it was pretty bad, i'm gonna post a pic of it as soon as i load it. Did you get any good ideas?
  9. Yes, I agree. My FI likes the rosewater the best, and I think that is what i will choose. Someone also recommended this place http://www.butterbynadia.com/wrap.html which has a satin white/cream color that i like. but they are too long, they would have to cut them. I want to see what exactly they are made out of. The twobirds are made out of silk jersey. Satin im not so sure about.
  10. yes, still made today "Bone china is a porcellanous body developed in the eighteenth century in Staffordshire and is still produced today. It contains a high proportion of bone ash in combination with china clay and china stone."

I would just have the original 8, and let Mary wonder. If she asks, or if someone else asks for her, just tell her thr truth, you were struggling with your decision, and decided that since even tho you hang out and have fun in a group, you are not that close with her and you figured she would understand. As for Lori, I would leave it, and not ask her, and tell her the same if the question comes up, except tell her that you were struggling with the decision and you thought she would understand the situation, and leave it at that. Good luck! Let us know what happens. thanks abbie, honesty is always the best policy. I still have to think....but i will let you know as soon as i figure this mess out! thanks for all the help ladies!!
  12. yes it still exists today. It's the strongest form of china. And people like to collect it, it appreciates over time, collectable items.

I just don't understand why they have to make that china the "best" and the one that everyone feels that should invest in. There are soooo many alternatives. Also we live in the 21st century, do we really need to use bone ash in plates? read this:"You have probably noticed cups and plates often carry the label “Bone China”. Does it really mean they are made of bones ? Bone China is a product of a technique perfected in England to add bone ash of animals to the clay, resulting in delicate looking but very strong china. Sometimes, it does not carry the label “bone china” but it can be easily recognized as it has more transluency and whiteness than normal porcelain. How it’s made Calcined bone ash makes up about 50% by weight of the final body recipe. It is produced from animal bone, which is first processed to remove any adhering meat which is generally sold as pet food. The bone is then treated to remove glue, which is processed and upgraded for use in normal applications where glue is used, and also for the sizing of expensive paper. The raw bone which is left after the meat and glue have been extracted is then heated to about 1000 C at which temperature any residual organic material is burned off and the structure of the bone is changed to form suitable for the manufacture of bone china. It is then finally ground with water before being added to clay."
  15. I'm the same way, i don't want the bar hopping thing. I am doing winetasting in Nappa. but if you can't do to an OOT Bachalorette, they may have some wine tasting places near you. they often do even if your not in wine country. Spa days are fun, you can often have spa days at your house, rather than going to a spa, which can get kind of pricey. Bingo is fun! we have a dragqueen bingo night here in a LA!! a ton of fun Comedy shows are always a blast. Going to see live music or a day time concert like jazz fest
  16. welcome! there are TON of pictures of dreams, look under pictures and wedding reviews.
