Its more than 13 years old, and its by far my favorite thing for lounging around the house!! What was by far the most EMBARRASING thing you did last week that no one else knew about? heh heh
  5. Chunky Monkey What was your favorite TV show from the 80s?
  6. i would suggest Wedding Photographers - WedFog: Wedding Photography Demystified right off the bat. An amazing resource for future brides and grooms. Lots of real questions from real people, and examples of contracts and price lists and 'what to expect'
  7. You have totally come to the right place, this forum is bursting at the seams with information! Welcome and Congradulations to you and your Hubby-to-be
  8. It would be EXTREMELY expensive at Margaritaville, but it would be a blast! You could even do a TTD session down the waterslide! As for the Dunn's River Falls excursion, I have been there many times and it ranged anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3 hours basically it could be as long or as quick as you want it to be!
  9. Welcome to the forum! Its quite the addicting place
  10. this happened to me before and believe it or not, all i did to fix it was to switch where the ipod usb cable was plugged on the back of my computer... if you have another usb port on your computer just try it with that one... not sure if you have or havent, but its worth a shot!!!
  11. Welcome to the forum! I LOVE Grand Cayman, I have been there literally about 25-30 times ( I used to work on Cruise ships in '06-'07). It was by far one of my favorite islands to visit in the Carribbean! Its one of those islands where you have SO many things to do (Swim with stingrays, go scuba diving, snorkelling, suntanning, going at a club/pub) and yet if you want to do absolutely nothing, the locals really don't bother you and you can basically blend in and be a human instead of a tourist for a while... the island has such good energy, and I have seen a wedding or two there and both days the weather was unbeatable!
  12. Lol thanks so much everyone! I have browsed around your photos and pre-wedding ideas and plans, you guys rock! And all these talks of going to Jamaica, and Costa Rica and several others is giving me such a feeling of nostalgia and "i wanna go back to those places!!!" you guys and gals are totally going to love all these places!!
  13. In my opinion, the best beach in the entire world (that I have been to) was on a tiny island called Ouvea. This is located in New Caledonia (south pacific islands southwest of Fiji towards Australia) the beach is bleach white sand, incredibly soft, and the ocean is as clear and blue as those postcards and desktops that we all drool over. this was also the day I got the worst sunburn I ever had so if you go, bring LOTS of sunscreen.
  14. I worked on cruise ships for 2 years so hopefully I can help (or at least throw in my 2 cents)! I worked with Princess Cruises, and I know that you have to buy all drinks except for water... having said that, you can buy a Coke Card for $20 (i think) and they put a sticker on your cruise card. This gives you unlimited sodas at any of the bars. Now for the seasick part: I have been on the largest and smallest ships in the fleet. It really doesnt matter that much on size. (it does but it doesnt). Basically, even the largest ship can wobble from time to time. The best thing to do if you feel a little sick is to go outside and look at the horizon. dont focus on one point, but relax your eyes and just stare ahead. And to prevent (or decrease chances of) seasickness, I have been witness to the following things working wonders: green apples, ginger (ginger ale being the best), and chewing on ice... no idea how the ice worked, but it really did. If all else fails, go the Gravol route. hope this helps!
  15. Thank you so much! I really hope I can help out here the best I can!
  16. Hello Everyone! I am so happy I have found this Forum, I'm SUPER STOKED to grow into a strong member here! I have read the vendor rules and I promise to abide by them and help as many people as I can here! I am a Wedding Photographer based out of Vancouver BC Canada, and I am looking to branch into the Destination Wedding Market. A few years ago I worked as a photographer on cruise ships travelling around the world, and I absolutely LOVED it! (no surprise, as my entire life before ships I only travelled parts of Canada, and then Texas and Montana haha!) Now I have seen places such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Caledonia, Italy, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Grand Cayman, Mexico, Costa Rica, the list goes on!! Can you believe I did that all in just 2 years! Me neither! Anyhoo, I am here to promote my business, but also to try and lend a helping hand (and an ear) to anyone with photography questions, cruise ship questions, and I promise to do the best I can with any travelling questions as well. I truly love the wedding industry and I'm a hopeless romantic (which is why I chose this career over anything else!), and I just want everyone to know that I'll be picking YOUR brains as well! I always like to hear about new trends and tidbits that I can pass on to my new friends. I encourage everyone to take a look at my website and blog, but if you really want to get to know me, don't hesitate to drop me a line! All the best! Michael
