  1. Quote from Petunia: And, guess what! I actually got to meet Sherri! What a wonderful woman. I was on Magen's Bay and saw someone setting up for a wedding there. I went over and asked if it would be a problem if I stood on the side and watched the ceremony. I was graciously told "no problem." I then asked her name, being familiar with some WCs from this site, and she told me she was Sherri! She was very busy, being very thorough and so attentive to every detail. I was amazed at the amount of work she was putting into the bride's special day. It was as if it were her own wedding. I did stand to the side, not to be intrusive, and watched the most beautiful wedding I'd ever seen. It was both beachy and elegant at the same time. After the ceremony as they were milling around, I overheard many guests comment about how impressed they were with the wedding, feeling exactly as I did. Petunia, What a surprise to see your write up! It was a real plessure getting to meet you and I am so sorry I was too busy to sit and chat! It truly is a beautiful way to get married and I know your wedding is going to be just as lovely at Lime Tree! I love the further end of that beach down by the rocks, tho I haven't been there in years! Since you seem to make it down often, I hope we get to meet again and have a cocktail and if there is any way I can offer some help on your wedding you are planning yourself! Thanks for your wonderful words, I love what I do so much that it doesn't seem like work! All My Best, Sherri
  2. Miss E, Are you using a wedding planner? That may be the way to go! By using a wedding planner, they often use certain sights that would fit the bill for you! Then you can still do as planned after the ceremony. Good Luck to you!
  3. Petunia, Have an awesome time! Hope we get to meet!
  4. stthomasbride! Glad you found the forum and hope we all can be of help to you! The sailboat wedding sounds awesome! Congrats to you!

The important thing is that you don't loose sight of what is important!
  6. Tho Brewers is a nice beach, it would not be a choice for me. The trees are far from the shoreline and you will be looking at the extention of the airport across the bay. Also, there are no restroom facilities there as well. You have much nicer options available to you!
  7. akittrell, Wow, Jamaica! Sounds wonderful! Your wedding will be a beautiful one! Enjoy!
  8. akittrell, Tho I realize you are interested in all inclusive, you may want to consider other alternatives as the hotel route seems to be more expensive over all. You have lots of options in STT! You may even want to consider a villa and have your private wedding right there! Ck out: Caribbean Villas: Caribbean Villa Rentals by McLaughlin Anderson Villas Virgin Islands Plenty of villas to choose from! How many people guests do you expect for your wedding? This number can also play a roll in your planning! Good Luck in your search! BTW, I have worked with April prior to her going to Frenchman's Reef! She is a very nice person! A wonderful friend..... Hope you don't mind my input!
  9. SO nice to see more brides join into this thread! futureeilen, I am guessing you have been here before! How nice for you! Also nice that you have an instant location, NICE VIEW! Is your wedding going to be small or larger? Good luck in your planning! 09bride, Hoping your plans are starting to move forward!
  10. mddugas, There are many coordinators out there that would love to make your day a special one! Good luck in your search! Nice that you have plenty of time!
  11. You will want to consider how many guests you have as to where you would go for lunch! There are some good suggestions here! You will want to make sure you make reservations as well! Cuzzin's, great local food located in town does not take reservations and gets very busy for lunch! Robert's in in a nice location, that might be the ticket!
  12. Hi there! In my opinion there is no excuse for any coordinator to not get back to you in a reasonable amount of time, even here in STT!!!! MichelleK, fill me in! Did they give you someone private to help you with this? Since I work with villas, I do provisioning occationally and might be able to help, not sure! PM me if you like. I know a coordinator who works at the Marriot as well!
  13. July09, Been away from my desk and still am! Up in Alaska visiting my fiance's kids that were born in STT, go figure that! lol! I somehow missed the whole of post #11, must have been writing at the same time! I will be off Island until 6/26 but the girls are in the office to help you with any questions! Hull Bay is a nice spot! Another local I know is planning his wedding at Dorothea Condos pool- he lives there. Hull Bay would be all that you needed and not too many people around! Good Luck!~
  14. petunia, Like your plans! Sounds great! July09, tho Honeymoon beach is awesome, will there be someplace for the elders to cool off? Been SOOOO long since I have been over there! Go to Tickles a lot! Good Luck with your plans!
  15. How exciting! Now that you have that part done, you can figure out the rest! Good Luck and congrats!
  16. Very pretty location to get married! I like Petunia's idea of Blue Moon Cafe', Agave' Terrace is only open for Dinner. ashleycharree, I LOVE your idea of parasailing with the wedding atire on! How cool would that be for pictures! You only wear the dress once, so how unique that would be!!!!! I am seeing much more creative pictures being done and I am enjoying this! Sapphire is the location for parasailing, but unfortunely, no good places to eat there. Maybe go to Blue Moon Cafe' and then onto Sapphire for parasailing! How COOL!!!!!! Wish I could see that!
  17. First, Congrats to you! Looks to me that you have already done some good legwork! I know all of the villas above, except one and don't see One Beach Rd as an option for that many people! Ventana is questionable, Bellagio and Blue Serenity seems to me like they would work! Other options are: Villa Bratanica and The Bratanica Great house. They can be rented by the hour for these types of functions! (forgive my spelling)! Your wedding consultant can make suggestions for caterers, there are lots to choose from! Good Luck and hope I've helped a little!
  18. Ditto on where are you getting married? This can determine a better answer as to where to go after! If you are getting married at Magen's Bay, Indigo is a very nice choice! Old Stone Farmhouse is no longer open for lunch...only dinner. Herve's in town is a popular wedding lunch choice as well as Tavern on the Waterfront, both in town. Congratulations to you! Might have more suggestions, once we know where your ceramony is! ps- Your wedding planner should be able to make these suggestions and plans for you!
  19. The US Virgin Islands! St. Thomas or St. John! No passport needed (tho nice to have). Villas and beaches! Good Luck in your search!

    Hi,everyone.

Welcome to the forum! You must have a story to tell!
  21. Wow, Italy is a place I have always dreamed of going! Liked Autumn's suggestion as well! Best of Luck to you and welcome to the board!
  22. Island Lover, I cannot speak for Corrine of course, but here is how it works for McLaughlin Anderson. During season, usually it is a 7 night minimum...some poeple will book for that whole time even if they are staying fewer nights. During the Summer, low season, usually it is a 5 night minimum booking depending on the villa. The only time we (Stone Cottage and Rockworks) accept a shorter period booking, 3 to 4 nights is if they fall between two already booked rentals! If we have 5 or 7 night available, we might not accept a 3 night booking. It is evaluated accordingly. Still compare prices in this case as it just might still be cheaper than staying in a hotel! Hope this answers your question a little!!!
  23. Magen's Bay is noted to be heart shaped! On the beach itself, there is a little spot that goes in and then the 2 peninsula's to each side, go in....as seen in your photo! All wedding companies that do weddings at Magen's use that spot as THE most favored spot! The palm trees are like the alter! So cool! If I can get my girlfriend's permission, I willl post another pic. of a wedding I did in that spot in actual use, if you all would like that! Island Lover, ya dun good! Great Job!
  24. Hi there! Yes, there are villas that can accomodate you! I just sent out a detailed PM to someone else with the same needs, will see if I can forward it to you! Wish me luck! If I can't do that then I will get back to you!
  25. You could your wedding coordinator in advance or also the agent you are going thru if renting a villa. I have done this for People many a time! Hope this helps!
