Honestly it makes it a lot easier too because then you don't have to worry about getting documents translated etc. And my DH is a canadian and I am american so it just made everything go smoother!

When is your wedding date? We'll probably get to know each other on here pretty well over the next year or so It seems like a great place to get some of your questions answered and to get ideas Anyway, another couple questions to anybody who can answer them for me....we want to get married on Oct 10, 2010---but that seems to be a Sunday. Does anyone know if they perform ceremonies on Sundays? If they do, is anything open...bars, etc...? Also, are most people getting legally married before they actually go away? Is it a requirement? Why?? Thanks all and Congratulations to everyone!!!! I got married on a Sunday. Everything is open. As for getting married before we went, we wanted to so we didn't have to deal with the paperwork and bloodwork once we were down there. We got married the month before we left here in Texas. You can get legally married there though you just have to arrive I think four days before your wedding and get some bloodwork done. You also have to bring a bunch of documents.

RANT- screaming babies in fancy restaurants
Kat81 replied to michelle6114's topic in Just venting or funnies
It's not the baby's fault. The parents should have been a bit more attentive. That said, I have had my dinner ruined by drunk loud people, people talking on the phone really loud, a table of teenagers being obnoxious to get the waitresses attention. All of which were old enough to know what was going on. Babies don't know they are ruining your meal. Poor thing was probably hungry or tired. -

I would prefer to have more info (prices of rooms, Cost for 30+ guests, etc...) before I make a final decision. For those who married here....did you find it to be fairly affordable, because I don't want my guests having to shell out too much money. I am planning on getting the Ultimate package...does this include the room for the bride & groom? Did you find there were lots of activities to choose from for your guests (swimming with dolphins, scuba diving, etc..) Sorry about all the questions, but there is just soooo much too take in, i feel as if my head is about to explode...lol You need to contact the wedding coordinator at dreams to get your date set. As for how much it will cost, you can either get a TA ( there are plenty of them on this site, I believe Jill is the one for DC) Your room is not included in any of the packages. I would reccomend looking at their site and reading up and maybe either contacting a TA or check our expedia or some other travel site for an idea of how much it will be.

The tech said she THINKS she saw a penis and pointed to something and said that "could be" it, but she was not convinced, didn't sound confident and wouldn't provide me with a percentage on how sure she was or wasn't. Since the baby didn't cooperate in other ways, they didn't get all the pictures they needed so I will get another U/S for that reason. I have to go back in 3 weeks, at which time I will be 21 weeks along. With my first baby, it was just so clearly and definitely a boy, you could see it ALL. Everything in my gut for weeks now has said girl so I am having a hard time accepting that it could be wrong. Obviously I am happy to be having a healthy baby which is what matters. I just kinda have my heart set on a girl. I have been reading about how other things can cause the tech to think they see male parts, the umbilical cord, a swallon clitoris or labia, etc. My aunt was told my cousin was a boy at her first scan and at her second they said girl and it was a girl, so I am in wait and see mode right along with Amy. I am considering the 3-D ultrasound if the next scan is inconclusive too. What a bummer! My dr wont even do the gender u/s until 20 weeks so I am sure you will get a better shot then!! But yay for being able to see your little baby again!

That was super sweet of him. Quote: Originally Posted by Alyssa great thread Erin!!! Aww that is super sweet Erin!! DH has been working out of town the past couple days and his facebook status last night was "wish I was laying in bed with Kat feeling the baby kick" I thought that was so sweet. I mean I know he misses me but when he puts it out there for all his friends to see it melts my heart.

We have had a couple DFW meetups. I probably won't be able to make it because I am 8 months prego but I hope some other girls chime in. It is a lot of fun to meet up.

I have mine scheduled for this Wednesday at 3:30 and I am so excited. Last night I told DH "Only 66.5 hours till our U/S" He looked at me like I was crazy : ) Guess counting hours is a little silly but I just can't wait to know. I have such STRONG intuitions that it is a girl and I want to see if I'm right, I just hope the baby cooperates. I read somewhere that 70% of pregnant women in a study with no prior knowledge of the sex of their child were able to correctly guess based on intuition alone. I had the same gut feelings the first time that it was a boy and it was so maybe there is something to that. I took Intelligender too, I had posted on here before about it, and that said girl so just two more days and I will know, hopefully for sure : ) I'm so excited for you! Make sure you post right away!! Amy- I know a lot of cities have those 3-d u/s places around. You can usually get one of those for about 100 bucks. They give you a video and a bunch of pictures. I guess if your dr doesn't do another u/s you could always do that.

Amy Hmm I think it is pretty common to have one because they want to check the growth and the position of the baby. I hope you get one!
