    You can get cheap room rates from a travel agent, there is a agent on the forum that specializing in Jamaica, her name is Maureen.

    I think I have the worst TA in the world. I have to constantly call her for updates when the guests book, she never calls me. I recently switched the location of my wedding and she told me that they had the date available when she didnt even send in the paperwork. On top of that its taking her 2 weeks just to give the new rates at the resorts. What can I do to get rid of her if some of my guests have paid their deposits already?

    Welcome to the forum, I will say go to the Dominican Republic, but Riveria Maya is beautiful also. Price wise DR is cheaper.

    I'm bidding farewell to the Jamaica board since I have switched my destination to Dominican Republic to make it easier for my Mother and Father in law. I will miss you all and thanks for all of the great advice.

    How did everyone react to the change was it easier for the travel agent just to switch the guests over?

    I decided to switch my wedding location from Jamaica to Dominican Republic. Has anyone ever done this or am I just the crazy person on the forum?
