That exactly why I chose Villa Capri. Our immediate families and close friends will be able to stay there and we will have the reception on the deck. VC is the biggest villa on the island and most villas are located in the northern end. I guess since Soufriere is quieter and more romantic, there isn't a need for large accommodations. Have you decided on exact locations yet?

I was in contact with Awesome Caribbean wedding too. I've heard some wonderful things about them. I didn't go with them since Villa Capri already has a coordinator whom I love, but if I had gone another direction I would've used them. If you're worried about transporting guests too much, you can have the ceremony and reception at Pigeon Island. That woudl be a beautiful place for both of those events.

Thanks. I got engaged in December, so I've had some time to get all this together. For the flights, we have people flying from all different cities (New York, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Vegas, Columbus, and Washington DC), so we didn't block out seats on one flight. We did the wedding discount which is 10% off a round trip ticket from any airport to the wedding destination. It is valid for one week before your wedding date and one week after it. With a little negotiating, I got them to extend that a little bit, so they can be flexible. Just go to American Airlines' website and click on group travel. It's super easy to set up. Now let's see, a ginger lily. Ah, here we are... Not the greatest pics, but they'll work. I want to stick with all local flowers and I just fell in love with the ginger lily last year. It's not a typical wedding flower, but that makes it special to me!

Last night I had a dream that I was walking into science class in high school. I went to sit down in the second row and there in front of me was Morgan and Becks! Morgan had her stuff all over my desk and gave me a look like, why does she have to sit here. (I know you would NEVER be like that Morgan!) Then she moved all her stuff and that's all I remember. Has anyone else had BDWers show up in their dreams? How random!

We're limited to 40 people, so I just told people that. I said we'll celebrate with everyone back home afterwards and be sure to let them know all the details about the party. I found throwing an actual number out there helped.

The doctors want to give him another pint of blood and platelets, but FFIL is scheduled to come home today! His numbers recently started increasing and things are looking pretty good! FI and FMIL are down at the hospital right now. He's not out of the woods yet, but at least he doesn't have to be cooped up in a hospital bed anymore. Five weeks was long enough! I'm asking for continued prayers for healing, but wanted to thank you all for the generous out-pouring of love that has been received from this forum. I'll continue to update you all.

I asked my guests to RSVP by September as well and I am a fellow May bride. Hopefully people will be responsive!

I think that's a pretty standard cost. Do what YOU want, not what everyone wants. It's yours and FI's day.
