  1. You have to be creative! Go for Erilicious.
  2. Woo hoo! I've been liciousized! Question though, should I have a "y" or an "i" before the licious? I thought the y looked a little funny, but now I am afraid I messed it up.
  3. OK, I come back from lunch and everyone has been licioused! Be right back with my own liciousness.
  4. I call my 2 year old niece Adilicious (her name is Adison). I think it drives my brother crazy, but oh well! Woo hoo, lunch time! Be back in a bit.
  5. Yari, you're such a hottie! Jacqueline, I love how you're calling the dress a girl too. Hopefully my girl! And the best part...I only have to wear underwear under it. Not even a bra! (which to me is crazy because I have a larger chest).
  6. I can post the actually dress, but I'm not in it. OK fine, you win, for now. Here she is! MaggieSottero.com - Bliss - Dress Detail It will only let me post the link. I would be chopping off the train and making it into a sweep train. I'm hoping there is enough material left over to make my niece's flower girl dress. Now I'm even more excited to go tomorrow! It looks so different on me than the model, so I can't wait to show you guys!
  7. I'm not posting pics until I decide it's my dress. I don't want to be a tease! Actually, the bridal shop told my mom she couldn't take any unless I was buying the dress. Every time she'd try to sneak one, someone would walk by. But if all goes well tomorrow, you will be seeing pics this weekend!
  8. I'm having a boring day too. I guess I have a sporty weekend planned. I'm supposed to go to a minor league baseball game tomorrow night (Hudson Valley Renegades), then on Sunday I'm watching football ALL day (loved the Giants win last night!) at FI's sister's house, then it's on to watching the Mets/ Phillies game that night. The only non-sporty thing I'm doing this weekend is going to the bridal shop to try on the dress that I think will become my dress! I tried it on last week and loved it, but wanted to wait a week before buying it.
  9. Thanks for the website! I will be sure to forward it to her. A quick update...Alice had to do a fifth chemo treament, but decided they didn't need the 6th one they scheduled for her. Each treatment has been harder and harder on her, so she was relieved when they canceled the last one. Alice does consulting work and had a huge contract with a company in New York. That company just cut about half of their staff, including Alice, so she just lost her main source of income. It's definitely been a tough year. On a slightly different topic, FI father (Alice's uncle) is looking for a match for bone marrow. Please prayers for that in additionto Alice's situation!
  10. Thank you for sharing your story Yamille. I love the ocean, but I'm also terrified of it. Great tips you posted.
  11. I'm glad you bumped this because I never saw the original post.
  12. The dress is called Bliss. I didn't even pick it out of the book at first. The picture they had of it had horrible lighting and the material looked really heavy. It looked like a totally different dress when she pulled it out. We'll see tomorrow if this one is the winner!
  13. Didn't MTV learn their lesson from last year?
  14. I can't believe Alyssa's day is here already. Have a fabuloso time becoming a Mrs!
  15. I will be making my barefoot sandals as well. They seem so easy to make, yet people charge so much for them. Yours turned out really well. Great job!
  16. I've heard you're supposed to tip 10%, but that was a while ago. Not sure if that's changed. I think I usually give $7 on a $40 hair cut. I color my own hair, so I never end up with those huge salon bills.
  17. Hi Gracie. It's so nice to hear from another (potential) St. Lucia bride! I am not using an offsite wedding planner (Villa Capri comes with one who I LOVE), but before booking the villa, I had contacted both Tropical Isle Weddings and Awesome Caribbean Weddings. Both gave pretty quick responses. One thing to remember is that much like Europe, a lot of St. Lucia goes on holiday for the month of August. My WC was away for 3 1/2 weeks and the restaurant I am (hopefully) using for the reception dinner was closed the entire month. I have heard excellent things about both companies. Honestly, I think you'll be happy with either one. If you're having more luck with Topical Isle, then go with them. And yes, please join Velda and me on the official St. Lucia brides website. I have posted quite a bit of info on there, but please feel free to ask me anything. I'm not guaranteeing I have the answer, but I can try!
