They're not getting much easier for me either. That's OK. As long as she keeps kicking my butt, I'm happy!
  2. We're giving a donation to My Vision Foundation in each person's name. We'll give everyone a keychain from the foundation with a note on it explaining this. We're doing OOT bags as well.
  3. Congrats girlies! Abbie, that must've been weird to announce yourself!
  4. Our dinner at Jacques is on a waterfront deck just for us. I believe it can hold up to 50 people. We're having 30 guests. Not sure if something could work out with them. Just so you know, choosing the resort is the toughest part of planning a destination wedding. Once you get that squared away, you will feel so much better. I have no experiences with Bay Gardens, but I've heard wonderful things. Out of everything you've mentioned, that's probably where I would lean towards. I totally get what you were saying about not wanting Coconut Bay. I thought you were more concerned with keeping children occupied, but if you're looking to go out, that's definitely not the place to be.
  5. Ugh, I just wrote this HUGE response and it didn't go through. Grrr... Anyway, welcome fellow St. Lucia bride! We're so excited to have you. I have been to St. Lucia before. FI and I stayed at Coconut Bay in Oct. 2007 and had a great time. You actually may want to look into this resort. It is all-inclusive, kid friendly, and located in the southern end of the island near the airport. This is a much quieter end of the island, so getting some privacy for a beach wedding would be no problem at all. Anyway, just thought I'd throw another idea out there. For my wedding, we are also gettig married on Pigeon island at the private beach. Afterwards we are going to Jacques for cocktail hour and dinner. After that, we're headed to Villa Capri (where we're staying) for dessert, dancing, and drinks. (Ha ha, I didn't even plan those all starting with "D".) We've hired a band called Ten90 and the reception will be held on the villa's deck. I'm so happy we chose to go the private villa route. The property manager, Kris, is arranging everythign and she is fabulous! For our honeymoon, we are staying at Orchid Cottage (about 5 minutes away) for 3 nights and then we're off to Punta Cana. I know that sounds a little strange, but we wanted to visit another island while we were down there, and I'll have already been on St. Lucia for a week and a half at that time. For your honeymoon, another place you can look into is Rendevous. I hear it is similar to Sandals (couples only, AI) but without the commercialism. I think people either love or hate Sandals. For restaurants, I do not believe it is cheap to eat out on St. Lucia. The last time we were there we only ate at the resort or on tours, but this time we're not staying AI so I've been researching some places. It can definitely get pricey. You will love St. Lucia, I guarantee it. Congratulations and feel free to ask us whatever you want. We'll do our best to answer!
  6. I'm thinking now, maybe have Petal Princess on the front and then Perfectly Picked on the back. Still not totally loving it. I'm trying to keep it short because of the cost of printing. Cute ideas though girls!
  7. Bianca, I swear from the minute I got engaged, I started gaining weight. You would think your own wedding would be the best motivation, but it's not. It's so frustrating! I feel for ya girl. Let's work those pounds off together, date twin!
  8. Great job LeAnne. It is always a great feeling when your weight loss gets into the double digits. I lost 1.4 this week, so I made up for that gain last week.
  9. Welcome! I'm a St. Lucia bride too, so feel free to ask questions!

  11. Aw, that's adorable. Enjoy your birthday!
  12. My sister-in-law does calligraphy, so lucky me! If not for her, I would've done hand written. Just a note about printing directly on to envelopes: I have received wedding invitations like this and when the post office ran it through their machine, it totally smudged the print.
  13. Thanks Casey! I will go tomorrow after work. I need some advice. I'm wearing a navy outfit that includes navy thigh highs. What type of shoes should I wear?
  14. Too bad your wedding is in May. I'm wearing a watermelon DB dress in July. Have you checked eBay or Craigslist?
  15. I'm on Weight Watchers. That plan always works really well for me, as long as I stick to it! I went up to 5 lb. weights on level one this weekend. It's amazing how much more intense it makes the workout. I can't get through the second set of the side lunges yet though. I have to use the 3 lb. weights for that. That makes me feel wimpy.
  16. I'm with you. I can't stand DB. I was just at the Danbury location two weeks ago to try on BM dresses for my best friend's wedding. They are SO clueless there. I had a much better experience at the Middletown, NY location, but I really try to avoid DB all together. I had to order my BM dress online. When it arrived, there were threads sticking out all of the place and you can tell it's poorly made. Ridiculous!
  17. The Monday flights are still gone. It doesn't affect me, but it does affect some of my guests. Oh well, they'll just have to deal with a layover. Rainforest Hideaway is in Marigot Bay. I'm the most excited about that restaurant. The food is supposed to be really good and it sounds pretty romantic. I haven't picked out my shoes yet and my dress should be in any day now. The bridal salon will hold it for me though. Four months from today!

I am looking for something hot and slightly more classy. Oh, perfect! I work on 14th btw 6th and 7th. Thanks! By the way, I love how every girl on this forum who is involved in the group BD shoot in CT has checked out this thread. Too funny!
  19. I'm having my train turned into a sweep train so I can keep it down the whole time. Just my two cents.
