I feel your pain as well. We're in the process of lay-offs and to be honest, I'm not busy at all. I'd be shocked if I squeeze by.

Welcome Chickadee! I'm picking my flowers when I get down there. My WC will arrange an appointment for me to meet with a florist and I'll take care of it all then. There's so many beautiful local ones that I'm not worried about it at all. As for the reception, most of us are having is at Jacques Waterfront. I'm splitting my reception between Jacques and Villa Capri (where we're staying). Good luck on the wedding plans! I've heard some great things about Rendezvous.

Hey girls. I just checked back on this thread...I had no clue I won last week. Yay! I've definitely been struggling too. I lose I gain, I lose I gain. I'm really trying to get back into doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. Day 1 was yesterday. Wish me luck. One reason I think we're not motivated is because no one is really chatting about what they're doing to lose weight. We're all just checking in on Wednesday and that's it. I've read plenty of threads on here about BMs giving brides headaches about dresses and similar things, but my entire bridal party is involved in one HUGE catfight. They are being mean and rude to each other and the whole thing exploded this weekend. I guess the bachelorette party is the source of the problem. My party consists of my two best friends as MOHs and the BMs are my two SILs and FSIL. One of my SIL is pregnant and lives like 10 hours away, so she's not attending and has pretty much stayed out of things. The four remaining girls have divided themselves into two camps: MOHs vs. BMs. This also works out to girls who are 27/28 vs. 38/39. Anyway, somehow FI has gotten involved and my brother called me last night to tell me he's sick of hearing about it from his wife. I'm not supposed to be involved, yet of course I'm right in the middle of it. I'm just ready to pull the plug on the whole things. I would've like a bachelorette party, but I'm done. I'm so fed-up with them all for acting like such children. It sounds like the e-mails are getting personal and to the point when they genuinely dislike each other. Wonderful! And the worst part is, they all have to live together in one villa for 5 days. I hope the house doesn't fall down! I guess I should've gone with my original plan...No bridal party.

I'm totally doing it no matter what and I'm using my dress. I don't really see the point of getting another one. Yes, my parents did purchase my dress, so I think she feels that I'm throwing their money away. I think she's also convinced that out of everyone's dresses who made it through the TTD session fine, mine will be the one that gets ruined. She's just being dramatic. I'm super excited about it! And totally can't wait to have Kristi shoot this for me, even if it will be super early in the morning. (Ugh!)

My mother is having such an issue with TTD. Everytime she looks at my dress, she sighs and says, are you really going to trash it? I can't get it through her head that one, the dress will be fine, two, the pics will be gorgeous, and three, even if it somehow does get ruined, I'm never wearing it again anyway! I know it's a new concept to her, but I'm just so tired of hearing about it. I'm trying to be nice about it, but just shut up already. Anyway, just wanted to see if other mothers (or family members in general) were freaking out over TTD.

My dress just came in yesterday! I'm going to try it on Monday. I can't wait! We purchased FI's suit from Men's Warehouse. I just bought my barefoot sandals on eBay, so hopefully they are exactly what I want. I think my next task is finding shoes for the reception. I can't walk around barefoot on a deck! I also want to make personalized cups for the OOT bags, so I'm hoping to buy those materials this weekend. I think this past Sunday really woke me up. I realized I was leaving for St. Lucia in 14 weeks!

Sorry I forgot to update this. I received the bottles and they are perfect. Simple white with a twist off cap. I used clear Avery 5160 labels (the standard address one). We went away for a weekend and I put mouthwash in one of them and it didn't leak, so lotion, shampoo, and conditioner should be fine. I haven't put them all together yet, but when I do, I will definitely post a pic. Thanks for all your input.

Oh my goodness, that's horrible! And they were just saying after the USAir emergency landing how long it's been since a US plane had any passengers die in a plane crash. Those poor families.

You must not be dieting. The last thing I can be around right now is chocolate. Too bad you can't make one with strawberries. This is seriously one of the cutest things I've ever seen!

I'm only getting them gifts for being my bridesmaids, but I might give it to them after the shower.

I stayed at Coconut Bay for 8 nights and loved it. The resort was only at like a third capacity because it was hurricane season, so that was great. When FI and I went there, we were just looking for a relaxing getaway and that's exactly what we got. We hung out by the swimbar and the pool mostly. =) Had we gone during peak season though, the place probably would've been overwhelmed with kids which we would not have liked. Here are some positives: Affordable, near the airport, comfortable rooms, super friendly staff, great Kids Club, adults can use the water slides!, food was good, drinks were not watered down, breakfast buffet had everything you wanted, great pools, beautiful grounds, beach party buffets on Tuesdays and Saturdays were yummy (try the pumpkin bisque!). Some negatives: Beach has a lot of seaweed but it's cleared daily, isolated location, only two "nicer restaurants" (Silk-Asian and Bellagio-Italian, but there is also a main buffet and a 24 hour grill...I loved the grill!), the showers annoyed me but I'm trying to remember why. The resort has two sides: one for families, one for adults. There is an adult only pool so guests can get away from kids if they want to. We never had a problem getting chairs or anything like that, but like I said before, we went off-season. We arrived a day after a wedding there, so the guests were still around. Everyone looked to be having a great time. We went on an excursion at the same time as them and it was a lot of fun (the all day island tour). Something to note...while the northern end is the more lively part of the island, the southwestern end, Soufriere, is where all of the tourist attractions are - the drive-in volcano, botanical gardens, diamond waterfall, etc. You're actually closer to those things by staying at Coconut Bay. I'm not trying to sway you one way or another, just trying to give you honest answers! I would show you my pictures, but my camera got stolen while going through customs in Puerto Rico. Don't be stupid like me and make sure it's in your carry on! If you have any more questions about the place, just let me know!
