    First, I hope your sister's surgery goes well. Second, you're not coming across as selfish. When FFIL was diagnosed with leukemia last year, wedding stuff was on the back of my mind. When he passed away in September, it was on the back of my mind then as well. It's an important event and you want to be able to share it with those you love. I'm not sure if this would work, but can anything be arranged through a cruise to get her to Cuba?

    Why is it that... I pay my mortgage on time every month, and not only do I not get rewarded, I have to pay my neighbor's mortgage now too! I'm all for helping people out, but come one.

    Honestly, I think the mortgage registry goes a little too far. People want to feel like they're giving you something tangible. At least with a honeymoon registry they can give you a nice dinner or a massage. Just my two cents.

    If it makes you feel better, my FI hasn't asked the GMs either. I don't know what he's waiting for. I've been pretty calm myself, but that 3 month mark really does something to you. I've been drinking martinis and mojtios all week!

    We got FI's suit from Men's Warehouse last month. It's a tan silk suit, just slightly heavier than linen. He loves it.

    I'm now officially under 3 months. Crazy! I can't believe all the stuff that has to be done. I feel like I haven't been paying attention to the stuff for me...shoes, veil, jewelry, etc. I guess I had better get cracking!
