  1. Are you kidding me? After all this time I never realized that?! Ha ha, silly me. Thank you!
  2. I swear the search function hates me. It always searches using just one of the words I type in and I get like 100 different threads. Grrr. Thanks for posting that thread for me Amanda.
  3. I was going to suggest Heaven as well. I was actually debating on singing this to FI at our reception, but I'm not sure if it'll be too difficult to arrange.
  4. Is he sporty? Maybe a football or paddleball for the beach. I'm throwing in a Q20 game for a 12 year old boy we have coming. I agree with Kathi, definitely food.
  5. Woo hoo! I'm right there with you!
  6. I'm looking for white Just Married flip flops, but all I can find are the really cheap flip flops the always rub between my toes funny. Has anyone come across any better ones?
  7. Woo hoo! Congrats Evelyn! How great are the vendors on this site?!
  8. I love it! Great idea. My brother got each of his GMs an autographed bat. The fun part was that it was their own autographs. It went over well, just like I think your pub signs will.
  9. I did a search and didn't find a thread for this. I need some inspiration because it's almost time for me to go lingerie shopping! Post what you're wearing for your wedding night or any other fun lingerie you'll be wearing on your honeymoon.
  10. I'm going to bump this because I'm wondering the same thing.
  11. Barefoot sandals for the ceremony Fun hot pink wedges for the reception
  12. Oh the petty things in life. Just blame it on your cousin forgetting to hand you the card like she said. Say that you didn't realize it, but later when your FI told you that she had mentioned it, say you were disappointed because it was such a lovely card. Blah blah blah. You really didn't do anyhting wrong, but sometimes you just have to put these little fires out before they escalate.
  13. Thanks girls. And the best part is that I got them for $26 including shipping on eBay. I was hoping to get a good deal, but I wasn't expecting that. 2 months from today!!
  14. Thanks Casey and Yamille. I'm still debating what to do review-wise. I'm also convinced that we have higher standards than the girls on The Knot! On a fun point, I found my shoes! I decided to just keep it simple because I realized that I won't be wearing them much. Plus they'll match the hot pink flower in my hair!
  15. I love it. I think it's adorable, just a pain to transport.
  16. I've heard someone else mention about it having 35 days of hormones as well. I asked my gyno about this when he was first prescribing it and he said just stick to the way it's meant to be used. I usually get my period every 5 weeks, that's why I was curious about it...I'm not looking forward to having it every 4!

While it is a vacation for the couple, their family and friends, I am there to work hard for them, and to make sure that they get great images - ones that will resonate with them, and that they can cherish and pass on to their children and grandchildren. Not only is there a very full day of work covering the getting ready time, the ceremony, and the reception, but there is also usually coverage prior to the wedding day such as a couple of days before the wedding, the rehearsal dinner on Friday night, and maybe some romantic day after portraits. Not to mention all of the travel time getting to the destination and back home again. Then, there is backing up the images in multiple places, all of the editing when you get home, etc., etc. So, when it's all said and done, I'm going to be out of the office anywhere from 4-5 days or more. And, when I get back to the office I will have a lot of post production work to do as well. Please don't get me wrong - I love my job. To me, it is a lot of fun, and very rewarding, to be able to document such an important time in my client's lives and in the lives of their families as well. In fact, it is the best job in the world as far as I'm concerned! However, even when I am photographing a destination wedding down in sunny Mexico or in Hawaii, it still isn't a real vacation - as in margarita in hand with my wife by my side and not a care in the world vacation. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Tod I'm glad you guys said this. FI and I won our photography and videography on BDW from KLK Photography and Blue Sky Videos. We're just hoping that we can convince Kristi and Paul to take like 5 minutes to relax and party with us! It does sound like a glamourous job, but I can't imagine how difficult it is to be in a beautiful, sunny location and not be able to just relax at the beach. Thanks for all you guys do!
  18. Obviously I will be calling my gyno about this, but I figured I'd ask any ladies who are on the ring as well. I just started the ring and am at the beginning of the third week of having it in. So I know next week I should take it out and have my period. Here's the thing, I leave for St. Lucia in 8 weeks. I don't need pregnancy protection right now, just trying to time my cycle right. If I leave the ring in an extra week this time and next time, I will get my period the week before I leave for St. Lucia, insert a new ring the day I leave, and then take it out 2 days after I return. My question is, will leaving the ring in for 4 weeks two months in a row mess anything up? Also, will it make me have my period when I want it? When I talked to a nurse at my OBGYN about a month ago, she said just skip a period by putting a new ring in after 3 weeks. I don't want to be messing with a new one while on vacation though because I will probably forget. Plus, I will be traveling for quite some time getting to St. Lucia and will not have refridgeration. Thanks girls!
  19. I can't imagine the emotional turmoil you must be going through right now. I'm so sorry about all of the crazy events that have just happened in your life.
  20. I used to work at a bank and dealth with wires all the time, so it doesn't bother me at all. Tons of my wedding stuff is being paid by wire transfer. I had some customers give the wrong information before. The wire would just reject and need to be resent with the right info. If someone is saying that the money is gone and there's no confirmation to where it has gone, you're getting scammed.
