  1. I know I won't be running into any BDW brides since hardly anyone is getting married in St. Lucia. I am spending the majority of my honeymoon in Punta Cana though, so there is potential I could be at that resort with someone or on the same plane on the way home. Hmmm, now I'm curious. Marie, would you be "grandfathered in" since you booked your flights before May 1st?
  2. Woo hoo! Can't wait to see it! Although it will probably cause more projects that I don't have time for!
  3. Andi, I'm so excited for you! I can't wait to see your pics (for more than one reason!) Don't you love how we all end up buying the BM gifts for ourselves? I did this too! Have a blast!
  4. Mine is this weekend as well. I'm not giving anything and I've never received anything. I wouldn't worry about it, you have enough to think about!
  5. Here's a scary thought...May is NEXT WEEK! This weekend was baby weekend. I had a shower on Saturday and my niece's baptism yesterday. So I couldn't do anything. Now I'm sick (and for some reason at work). I think tomorrow is screaming sick day. We meet with the caterer for our pig roast (AHR) on Wednesday evening, my final fitting is Thursday evening, and my shower and bachelorette party are this weekend. While I'm super excited for all of that, when am I going to get things done?! What's really strange is that FI is usually super responsible. He keeps asking what he can do to help, so I'll tell him a couple things, and then he's just not doing it! Maybe he's stressing more than he's letting on. I feel bad, but I finally snapped at him about it this weekend. We've barely fought about the wedding, so hopefully we won't be arguing a lot over the next couple of weeks. On a really great note about FI, my two best friends (maid of honor and matron of honor) and one of their sisters are staying over after the bachelorette party on Saturday night. He asked what he can make us for breakfast the next morning. He's so sweet.
  6. Looks great Yamille. I wish I had gotten around to doing this. There are just too many things to keep track of!
  7. I never book my vacations without checking multiple sites first, including the actual hotel or airline. I do blame some of that on the customer for not doing their research. Obviously falsely advertising a place is not the customer's fault, but we need to do our part to protect ourselves. Expedia is great for last minute weekend getaways. I've actually had some wonderful experiences with them.

  9. Not sure what went on above! relish: silver

I thought it was a little weird until I realized what was really up. Don't forget you have bride brain too! That causes all rational thinking to just disappear! I just didn't want your FI to get in trouble!

I doubt your guests will be keeping tabs on him, so I wouldn't even give that another thought.
  12. My FI is going ATVing on our wedding day. I don't want all the guys hanging around. I actually asked him what he was planning to do with the guys that day. I told him to take my dad too! Tell your FI to go and have fun. I'm sure he's responsible enough not to come back wasted or miss the wedding. Remember, he WANTS to marry you, so he's not going to screw it up.
  13. You need a pen for the notepad! Also, candy/food is a great thing to find when you get to your room.
  14. OK, I felt fine before reading everyone's posts. You girls are stressing me out! You're making me realize everything I still have to do! I leave one month from today. I see why a honeymoon is needed after all of this! Just a side note about the football draft...it's not a fantasy draft or anything, it's wear the teams actually pick-up some new players. This always happens in the spring. Just so you don't think your FI is doing something really weird!
  15. Jenn, it's beautiful. I like it so much better than your first dress, but I may be biased since that's my style as well. You're going to make such a beatiful bride!
  16. Another DD girl chiming in. I'm not too big on the bride having tons of cleavage, but that's just me. I know if my dad had to walk me down the beach aisle with my boobs hanging out, we would both be uncomfortable. Lucky for me, I fell in love with a dress that was strapless and just cut straight across, so didn't have to worry about this problem. Like some of the other girls have mentioned, think about how you'll feel dancing and bending over in it. Will you be constantly adjusting yourself? (I hate when this happens.) Think of the whole day, not just the ceremony. It's amazing what these seamstresses can do to these dresses though, so if you love it (and it sounds like you do), I think you'll be able to figure something out to make it work for you.
  17. I would just do thank you notes for everyone. I'm not buying gifts for everyone involved in throwing my shower.
  18. I ordered pink and white ones from www.pearlriver.com Nylon ones are $6.50 and paper ones are $5.50
  19. I love the one with the hat. So hot!!
