  1. Customs is pretty painless. Which airport are you flying into?
  2. Thursday, June 25th, 11:04am - Anxiously awaiting my job interview in 26 minutes. Eek!
  3. I just love them! Glad to hear they're all OK. It must be hard to give them up!
  4. Be careful with the dress bag the bridal shops give you. They're usually pretty cheap. My dress was my carry on (I agree with Robin...Do NOT check your dress, carry it on with you) and it slipped off the hanger while I was walking through the airport with it before boarding the plane. When I plopped it done on a seat to fix it, I pulled on the zipper and it came off. This was 6 days before my wedding, 4 days before I would be at the villa where I would be getting dressed. I couldn't open that bag until I got to the villa because I would risk getting it dirty during transport. So basically, my dress sat in a clump at the bottom of that bag for 4 days. Here are my points: 1. You may want to invest in a higher quality bag. 2. My dress didn't need to be steamed or anything. That Caribbean humidity took care of those wrinkles in no time at all.
  5. Glad to hear the surgery went well. Sounds like you're getting an awesome MIL. Best of luck to her and wishing a speedy recovery!
  6. I don't intentionally keep anything. The other day I was looking through some old pics and I came across some with my ex in them. I had no clue they even existed. Had DH come across them and gotten upset, I would've felt really bad because I definitely don't want them! Would I care if he threw them out, no. But better to let me decide. I like Alyssa's idea.
  7. Wow, that's super cheap. Yay for you guys!
  8. Yamille, those are so awesomely wonderful. I'm so excited for you! You made such a beautiful bride. Congrats hun!

  10. What a jerk! I'd want to slap that lady across the face. Ugh!

I'm drooling just thinking about it. So phenomenal! My family went to the Fire Grill and Big Chep Steakhouse and were very impressed with both. How gorgeous is Pigeon Island? I was so happy we chose to get married there as well. I can't wait to see the pro pics. I love how Jet Blue announces while we're on our honeymoon that they're going to start flying to St. Lucia directly from JFK for $99 each way. I'm happy for future trips, but it would've been nice for my guests if that had gone into effect a year earlier. Oh well! I want to go back right now!
  12. One thing to remember too is that your wedding will last more than the traditional 8 hours or whatever it is from start to finish. I looked at it as having a 3 day wedding. I'll be honest, there wasn't a whole lot of dancing at my reception. But on the catamaran the day before, people were really busting a move. That was in celebration of our wedding, even if it was the day before. A DW is such a unique and wonderful experience. We all have had doubts at one time or another. Trust us, you won't regret. Oh, and our food was delicious.
  13. I didn't get married at a resort, but here are mine: 1. Must be in St. Lucia 2. No one staying there other than my guests 3. Beach wedding 4. Must be able to have a band 5. Awesome WC
  14. I finally was able to tune in for the first time last night. I really enjoyed the jive. She definitely out danced him though. I felt like the dances started out great but then went downhill throughout the show.
  15. Oh my goodness. Who would've thought? She seems like such a brave woman. You're both in my prayers.
  16. Yay, my turn! I don't have a really good full length shot, but I'll give you the best I can find. Model: Me:

I'm so in love with St. Lucia, it's ridiculous! I just want to buy a villa and move down there. I cannot encourage you enough to go. And if you do go, don't just stay on the resort grounds. Get out and see the island. The people are so friendly and welcoming to tourists. We hired a taxi driver to give us a tour for the day (if you go, I can give you his info) and saw so many wonderful things. He took us to a restaurant for lunch that we never would've found. The food was delicious and super cheap. I'm so happy we chose to stay in villas instead of a resort because it made me explore the area. I can't wait to go back. Jet Blue is supposed to start flying there in October from New York for $99 one way! Much better than the $600 flights we had. If I did my wedding all over ago, the location definitelty would've stayed the same. Great, now I want to go back right now!
  18. Get those entries in ladies. We won our photography and videography from BDW and were SUPER happy! Great contest Nora!
  19. Kelly, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My grandmother passed away last year and even if you're expecting it, it doesn't make it any easier. Hang in there girl!
  20. I can't take it anymore. It has rained almost everyday since I returned from my honeymoon 2 weeks ago. It barely rained in St. Lucia and the Dominican Republic--tropical locations--but it's been constant in New York. Stop it already!!!!
