  1. ANDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy we both got slideshows today! Killer shots, I love them! You're such a hottie!
  2. Wow, Kristi Klemens has been busy. She got Andi's TTD slideshow and my wedding slideshow out the same day. We've been telling you all that she's awesome! I think I've watched our slideshow 10 times already. I SO love it! Totally brought a million memories back from such a magical day. I hope you all enjoy! Chris & Kristy's Wedding Day!
  3. I voted for brown with highlights, but I also like your darker blonde color. Honestly you look great in all of the hair colors, lucky!

It sounds like you guys are trying to build on your financial situation so you do not need her making unnecessary budget blowouts to you guys budget. If you have to pay for her, YOU handle the arrangements. Cancel the reservation she made and book it in a room tha is more in line with her budget. I learned early on that straight talk bring straight understanding so you need to have your FI's support and your FI sit her down and settle this. If he does not nip this in the bud now, it WILL get worse. Se already sounds like she needs prozac now, more so in a few months and years to come. Trust me, it will wear you down emotionally, I know! Reset your budget together, talk to FI, get his support and let him handle his mother or let him know you will if he doesn't. But you cannot be confrontational about it. Good luck! I second this. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  5. I don't know how to really teach cleaning, but my mom hated cooking so I've been working on that for the last few years. Honestly, I've learned tons just by watching the Food Network. You get lots of simple tips and you learn common cooking terms by hearing them talk about it and doing it at the same time. I think having the added visual that cookbooks cannot provide is super helpful.
  6. Aw! So precious! Congratulations!
  7. That's crazy! I think they're rushing things, but whatever. Lucky girl, she doesn't have to go through all this stupid name change stuff. Grrr...

I look at various resorts and think one things great, then see another and fall in love with that setting instead.....what's important to me is that it's affordable for my guests, so I would like a place with the option to be al inclusive. I am also looking to spend n more than $10,000 on my room, flight, ceremony and reception. Does this low amount mean I need to sacrifice beauty? I was hoping for live music (steel band or solo guitar), very simple and elegant reception...possibly a buffet or even at a restaurant included in the all inclusive. I fell in love with St. Lucia because of the lush mountains and beautoful beaches, but it seems so expensive. Im looking at inviting 40, so i'm thinking 30 will prob come. PLEASE HELP! (btw we're planning for May/June 2010) Where have you looked in St. Lucia? Another route you could take is a private villa. We rented Villa Capri and cooks where available to make every meal (this was included in the rental price). We paid for the food and they made it. We saved a ton of money and it worked out great. Just another option to look into.
  9. My DH always puts the seat down and almost always the top lid as well. Lucky me, I inherited him with that skill!
  10. I couldn't wait to get mine sodered together. Mine is similar to Kathy's and no one can tell. I like my rings so much better now because I don't have to keep messing with them. It is harder to get them off your finger since you're pulling two rings off at the same time, but no big deal. My mom had hers sodered together after she got married in 1971. Never had a problem!
  11. I love the car. So adorable. Just a question...is that super cleavage on that last cookie?
  12. Very cute. I was going to make a couple suggestions, but these girls have already covered it!
  13. The thing is, I know people ask that question, just like we were asked time and time again when we were getting engaged. No one should be asking either of those questions, but people do. It's annoying, but fine. What gets me is that I can't just say we don't want kids. People get all upset and start asking me questions about it and talking to me like I'm stupid. Listen, you asked, there's the answer. Now shut up!
  14. You guys will appreciate this... Yesterday I got my first "So when are we going to see babies?" question from a random co-worker. I answered that we don't have any plans for kids, which was met with a face of horror. #1) Do NOT ask newlyweds (or really anyone) this question, most of them don't like it. #2) Why do people look at your like you're an awful person if you don't want to have kids? Grrrrrrrrrr...
  15. I think it's a great idea. DH's friends totally dropped the ball on his and I could tell he was hurt.

  17. Wow, that's just awful. What a jerk! Thanks for warning b2bs.

I'm going to look into Pigeon Island and the W/C suggestions. Thanks again May I ask what the 2 villas are? We had guests at Villa Bliss which was really nice. Did she also mention Villa Tranquility? Please tell her that Kristy, her May 2009 bride says hi! I guess I didn't realize how expensive it was the fly to Hawaii. Most of my guests paid about $600 per person to get to St. Lucia. Although with Jet Blue starting to fly there in October, that could really help. Also, if most of your guests are going to be flying with the same airline, be sure to look into group discounts. Here are a couple of pictures from my wedding at Pigeon Island: There are also some great ruins you can take pictures at. I don't have my pro pics yet, so I can't really do Pigeon Island justice with these photos, but hopefully it gives you an idea. If you need ANYTHING else, please ask. I love being able to help others out with all this information I have.
