thanks Jenni!! Yes, very close together, 16 months apart!! Trisha- She has a tooth already! too cute! Matt has some catching up to do because I don't even feel a bump yet on his gums. Kayte- Yes, Ross has maternity clothes. I was the same way as Kat, I didn't want to spend a lot on maternity clothes especially since I knew I wouldn't be wearing them too long (i didn't wear mine until late in my pregnancy). And Kat is so right about always getting stains on clothes, it happen to me all the time! Your belly is just a target for food!! I found some of my cutest maternity clothes at Ross. Since I was pregnant during summer, I found cute and comfortable tank tops and capris at Old Navy, and that's what I wore the majority of the time.

Thanks girls! Stacey- good luck ttc!! Kat- I hope I'm as lucky as your friend!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I thought about you today because I finally bought a Spophie. I can't wait to give it to him when I get home! Trisha- Is Kora teething? Matt's just been crying and is so fussy- very unlike him. i can tell the teething is getting worse because he always wants to bite something and he's drooling so much more. I feel so bad for him, but it seems that nothing really takes the pain away.

Thanks Andrea! How's Penelope doing? I love that pic, she looks as if she's a little happy yet screaming at the same time. Matt does this sort of giggle/cry and it drives me crazy because I know he's just faking a cry!

Kayte- OMG, twins!! Congrats!!! That's so exciting! Start taking belly pics right away because you're going to start growing so quickly!! Well, it's still very early but I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was positive!! I didn't sleep all night, I had so many stressful thoughts going through my head. My dh and I did want to have our kids close in age, so we are prepared for this. We have a lot of support from our family so I know as stressful as it will be, everything will be fine. I'm actually more worried about being sick during pregnancy and dealing with Matt. I remember just wanting to sleep my first trimester and there's no way I can do that anymore. I have to make a doc appt, so I'll keep you ladies posted when I get more info.

Same thing with me, I took prenatals for 2 years before I got pregnant and I never had any side effects. Fish oil pills, however, made me feel completely sick to my stomach. i would take those right before I fell asleep so I wouldn't feel like throwing up as much. Margie- get that baby out already!!

Regarding the $$ situation and TTC, I completely understand the stress. Although DH and don't have any debt besides our 2 houses, babies are still really expensive and $$ is in the back of our minds. We are already trying to have a second baby, and even though we know we would be financially ok, it's still expensive. With Matt, most of our $$ goes to his formula (almost $200 monthly) and babysitting ($500 monthly). However, one thing I realized now that I have a baby, you spend a lot less on yourself. I use to shop all the time and since I've had Matt, I can't remember the last time I went out to buy anything for myself. Plus, my DH and I go out a lot less so the $$ situation kind of evens out. Your mind set will change with a baby because even though you're spending a lot of $$ on your baby, he/she is worth every single penny and you won't feel like you are missing out on those expensive jeans you are use to buying or taking a fancy vacation. I'm not sure how explain, but some how you just make it work. I hope this helps a little for those of you who are worried about this.

Oh no Margie, that sounds like no fun

He wouldn't hurt Finn on purpose, but Il worry about him swinging a massive paw his direction or something. I thought your dog was a Dane - Great name BTW! Ozzie is short for Ozymandius. Wow, your dog is bigger than mine! I know what you mean about the dog hurting the baby. We taught our dog to shake hands but his paw is so big and his nails are so long that, in the past, he's scratched kids before but never with the intention of hurting them. Apollo's old now so he doesn't really pay much attention to the baby. He'll sniff him and that's it. But, yours is still young so I'm sure he has much more energy than mine. If you do take a pic of them both, please post; I would love to see! BTW- Congrats on your baby (not sure if I posted anything before)

Thanks for the help and suggestions! I've never tracked my cycles so I wasn't sure what was the "right" way to do it. I'm going to check out FF today.

I'm so excited for you Margie!! I can't wait to see some newborn pics soon!! Are you nervous at all or just excited?

I have a question for you ladies- My period just began to regulate again since giving birth and it's now every 28-30 days. According to ovulation calendars, I would be ovulating around 14 days from the first day of my last period, right? But I also read to monitor the cervical mucus and I noticed that the time I have the greatest amount of mucus (sorry if it's TMI) isn't the same time as I would be ovulating according the the calendar. It seems to be a week apart. So, how do I know when I'm ovulating, my cervical mucus or by the calendar?

Mrs. Martin - that pic of your son is too precious! What kind of dog do you have? We have a Newfie and I'd love to do a picture like that next year for holiday cards! Thanks! I know we passed the holidays so I should probably change the pic, but I love this pic! We used this pic for our cards and everyone loved it. Apollo's a Great Dane. He did pretty good taking the pics. Your dog must be huge, too. Do you have a pic of Finn and the dog yet?

I didn't know what a Sophie was either! I'll have to look into it since Matt is now putting EVERYTHING in his mouth because he's teething.

We had the entire bottom section of the steak house and no one other than our wedding guests were there in that area. However, you cannot have music or dancing there. They give you an option to rent out their club next door if you would like to have that. Quote: Originally Posted by c+j Hi all! So much to catch up on this thread!! Danielle, Margie, and Tami- Your bumps are adorable; I love seeing bumps. We need more pics of those around here ladies! Tami- congrats on a girl, you must be so excited! I didn't even know you were pregnant!! I really need to catch up! Margie- your 4 yr old is so cute! I have never even of a class like that around here. Your son is going to be a great big brother! As for me, matt just started eating rice cereal last week and had his first fruit yesterday. He loves solids and I had no issues with him eating everything. The formula, on the other hand, is still kind of a struggle. He never wants to finish his bottles, but the doc said it's pretty normal for him to lose interest. He's also starting to want to sit on his own, so hopefully any day now he will be able to!! Here are some recent pics of him:

Tlseege- How's Kora doing? Is she going through the drooling stage? Matt's always drooling, it drives me crazy!! And now he just started with this thing that he doesn't want to finish his bottle. He starts getting mad and he hits it out of my hand. Then, he starts crying because he's still hungry! I don't get it.... Andrea-Penelope is so cute! Is she sleeping well at night?

Thanks girls! You can only imagine how fun it was to orchestrate a 4 month old and a 150 pound dog to pose for a pic! Regarding the second baby comments- yes, I know it will be soooooo stressful and soooo much work, but we're up for it and we're also extremely lucky that my mom decided to retire at the end of this year in order to take care of Matt. So, DH and I talked about it with her and she's totally supportive about another baby. Also, hubby only works 3 days a week, so while he's on that schedule we figured it will be the best time to have another baby. My bro and I are 15 months appart and my mom agrees that yes, it was very stressful, but she was also relieved once the toddler stages were over and we were a bit more independent and she never had to go through it again. So, we'll see what happens, if I'm lucky enough to get pregnant again then great, and if not I'm ok with that too. The one thing that worries me is having a difficult pregnancy and having to deal with Matt. I was lucky enough not to have anything serious occur while I was pregnant the first time, but morning sickness itself doensn't sound like any fun while trying to deal with a baby!!
-
Hi girls! I hope you are all doing well! There are a few of you due soon right?! I can't wait to see some more newborn pics!! Believe it or not my hubby and i are already wanting another baby. I want them to be close in age because I would rather be in the diaper/bottle/not sleeping stage all at once. We might as well just get passed all that at once while we still have the energy to deal with them. We'll see what happens... Here's the Christmas pic we had taken of Matt and Apollo. I think it's so funny how they are kind of just ignoring each other. I scanned the pic so it may not be too clear. Here are some other recent pics...

I just have to say that reading Alyssa's post completely cracked me up because it was exactly what I was thinking as I was reading the rest of these posts. When I was planning my wedding, my two closest cousins were not able to make it because they had just had babies and my best friend couldn't make it because she was pregnant. NEVER ONCE did I question the fact that they couldn't come, I completely understood. I knew my wedding wasn't going to be less special because they were absent. Guess what, I had a great time and moved on. It amazes me how many threads there actually are on this topic! We've all been through the planning part where we sometimes feel like our wedding is the most important event in the world. Well it's not to others and it's important to be respectful of that because starting a family is 100 times more important than a wedding. BTW- For those of you who don't understand this will do so when you have a baby because EVERYTHING changes.

Chinese Gender Chart to Determine Your Baby's Gender Thanks! I actually used a different Chinese Gender Calender chart (looks the same, but from a different site) and it stated I was having a boy. But, this one is telling me girl- obviously I didn't have a girl I used several different one's before I found out what I was having and the majority said boy.
