  1. I'm taking glass candleholders (they vary between 5-10 inches tall and have thin stems) along with me to Mexico. I'm obviously going to pad them up as much as possible so they won't break, but I bought an extra one in each size just incase one of them does break. Is that enough or should I buy a few extra? I don't want to buy too many extras because of $$ and I don't want to add more carry-on items to my already long list. How many of your glass items (whether they were candleholders or not) broke while traveling?
  2. Hi all, I'm sure every Target store is different, but I just found manicure and pedicure kits in hot pink and lime green in the dollar section of my local Target. They are not too large, so they are perfect for packing, and may make a cute OOT gift to add to your bags. They have a buffer, file, nail clippers, toe seperaters, and tweezers included in each one. Just thought I would let you all know!!
  3. I'm not sure about the wedding insurance through RPLA. I actually had never heard of wedding insurance until about a month ago by reading one of the threads. Did you already try asking Lizette? Sorry I can't help you here! I have a wedding brochure template with info on RPLA if you ever need it. I hope you have fun with the rest of your planning!
  4. Wow, your pics look great!! I especially love the one with your guests together in a group and you two in the middle kissing!!! Tooooo cute!
  5. Pottery Barn, huh?! That's exactly what I need!! There's one not too far by my work, so I will look for it tomorrow! Thanks!
  6. You're ring is beautiful!! My ring has 1 large emerald in the middle with 2 smaller ones on each side w/ a thick band. I had the same problem you do now! I went to several places where they said they can custom make a semi-curved baguette wedding band, but it was way more than I wanted to spend and they said it wouldn't be curved enough to close the gap between the two rings because emeralds stick out from top and bottom. I saw several curved round diamond bands that closed the gap a bit (it was still pretty big), but the contrast did not look good and took away from the emerald's look. I decided to not get a band and I'm totally OK with it. However, it's your finger, so you should decorate it any way you want!!
  7. Can one of the mods delete the other "coral" thread? My computer froze and when I restarted it seems as if I posted this twice! Thanks!
  8. Does anyone know where I can purchase fake coral large enough to use as a centerpiece ( I would prefer it to be tan or white colored )? I would much rather buy it at a store and not online, so if anyone has seen them at any stores, can you tell me where? Here's an example of what I'm looking for- Thanks in advance!

Go back with my head down and vow that I'll never go back LOL. Atleast your brochures look totally fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go!!! See, I'm not the only one?! I'm sure Kinko's is use to crazy brides like us during wedding season!

They were actually easier than I thought using Publisher. It was when attempting to print them that they started to become difficult. Now that my meltdown from yesterday is over, I have to agree with you and say they have been my favorite project too! Thanks for the inspiration!
  14. I have been a total stress-ball because I wanted to have my info brochures sent weeks ago and I had not yet completed them! But after working long and hard on them these last few weeks, they are done! I attempt to print them on my printer and it stops working! So, I decide to just take them to Kinko's. Once an example printed, I realize the background pic needed to be edited, then I had to go back and change the transparency % amount of the text box SEVERAL times, and then after FIVE trips back to Kinko I'm relieved I am finally ready to print them. They come out looking great, I rush home to start folding them, then guess what?! I have an entire sentence cut off!!!! How the hell did I miss that?! I cut it off when changing the length of the text box and I have no clue how I overlooked it. After preventing the tears from coming down, I corrected the text box and went back to Kinko's. The guy working there must have felt bad because he only charged me for one-sided printing this second time. So, I ended up spending $27 the first time and $13 the second time (I needed 25 total). It's much more than I was planning on spending, but at least he saved me a few $$ at the end! Oh, and I forgot to mention I purchased envelopes there at the very end, forgot them, and had to go back. I'm never showing my face there again BTW, thanks to everyone who posted their brochure examples because they helped me out soooo much (especially Morgan's)!! Here's what I made:
  15. You look totally HOT!!! You just motivated me to get off this computer on start working on my abs!!
  16. I have been going to Cancun the last few years between mid August and late September and stayed 1 - 1 1/2 weeks and it has only rained once and no hurricanes occured. And, the day it rained, it rained early in the morning and by the afternoon the sky was clear (although the humidity that day was out of control!). So, it all really depends! It really just depends on so many different factors, it is really hard to say. I did make sure , however, that my hotel has a back up indoor location incase it does rain. I'm sure my guests will manage if there's a not-to-serious hurricane, as long as there's alcohol in the hotel they will enjoy themselves

Ok off to get the packing list for you. Congrats on finding the suit!! My FI is being difficult with his! He doesn't want anything too light because thinks he will look too pale and pastey and I don't want him to wear anything too dark because I wanted to keep the color the same as the groomsmen's pants (which is a tan/khaki color). We can't seem to find anything in the middle!

Oh yeah, and do you know where you are doing your reception? I decided to take my own flowers (real touch) with me because I didn't want to spend too much on them. She mentioned to me that only tropical flowers (callas, lilies, gerberas) are included in the package (for your bouquet and bout). But callas are not in season in September (incase you wanted them). Orchids (which I wanted along with lilies) are an extra charge. I haven't talked to her about the cake. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from her because we have currently been emailing eachother regarding the dinner plans (setup, location). We are going to have it at El Romero's (I think that's what it is called). It's the steakhouse on the terrace overlooking the ocean. The food is great there!!! I was not a big fan of steak and for the first time in my life, I finished one entirely by myself there!

  21. Your pictures look great!! You look so pretty!! Sol really does do an amazing job!
  22. I'm also getting married on a Friday for that same reason. Half of my guests will be leaving that Sunday and the other half are staying up to a week. I was trying to avoid anyone traveling tired or hung over from the night before if we had the wedding on a Saturday. Good luck with your STD's and website

I can email the hotel too but I thought I would just ask you. Thanks! Amy Hi, Below is the information of the WC that has been helping me. Were you able to get the date you want at RPLA?
