  1. There once was a princess and her prince. They enjoyed country music, long road trips, and bargain hunting together. One day they decided to go shopping in Syracuse, NY. The princess saw the ring of her dreams, and secretly planned with her future sister in law to show it to her prince. The Prince saw the ring, and secretly bought it even though he told his princess and the others that it was too much money. The prince kept the ring on him for months without telling the princess. Ironically the princess confessed to her prince that she never thought he could hide it from her. The prince contacted the Princess's father to ask for his permission, he readily agreed! As a Keith Urban concert approached, the prince was feverishly trying to organize a grand proposal on stage. But alas, it was not to be, so instead, the Prince organized a grand after party with all of their friends. The time came and the Prince got down on one knee After the princess said yes, many tears were shed, Hugged, and Everyone around them cheered !!! And they lived happily ever After:

  5. TOO FUNNY!! My brother's GF,(now wife) said ths same thing!!! I would understand if she was about to have the baby but I mean come on!!! My parents found out she said this and were NOT to pleased. Not to mention my brother plans on waiting to have kids..... Oh and another thing, I was one of her Bridesmaid organized her Bachelorette -spent about 300$ (she had a MOH that was from out of town and USELESS), paid for my own hair (90$), dress (200$) and countless other things... Ok, she wants kids, that is great, but if I was there so should she!
  6. You are phenomenal Sunbride!!! Way to go!
  7. WOW! To me that is quite a bit of $$. We priced out the Mayan, and Cuba, both 5* resorts, and went with Cuba we thought that 1800$ at an AI in Mexico was alot... our guests are paying 1300$

We had 38 guests and a private reception. I really didn't feel like we skimped on anything either; we just didn't do a lot of the extras such as DJ (we hooked up our laptop to the sound system), OOT bags, programs, etc, and we stuck with what the wedding package offered, nothing more, which was more than sufficient for us. I kept track of everything we spent mostly because I was curious as to how much the whole thing would cost. We paid everything on cash, so I wanted to keep track of it all. It also helped that we anticipated for after-wedding costs. I agree that you have to prioritize what's important to you and let the not so important stuff go. It was so easy though, to get sucked in to all the little details and want to have the best of everything. One of my moments was when I received my invitations and envelopes. I found the envelopes to be cheap-ish, made with thin paper, instead of that nice thick paper. I was going to go out and buy better quality envelopes, but then thought to myself, "Is it worth the extra effort and expense for ENVELOPES?! Are people going to really care? Or even notice? And even if they did notice and thought it was cheap to have thin envelopes, do I really care that they care? Not at all! I have more important things to think about. Use the freakin' envelopes and move on with your life, lol!" Not that envelopes would break the bank by any means, but these little upgrades here and there do add up, and you always want more! So yea, I had to say that to myself on a few occasions when I almost splurged for something unnecessary. Honestly, what I remember from the day was not the centerpieces or favours, etc - it was sharing in the moment of marrying my love with our close family and friends. Staying on budget felt really good too, lol!!! VERY WELL PUT!!!
  9. Alright...so if I read correctlyyou used white tissue paper like the king you put in a gift bag? NOT the kind you blow your nose with or the kind you wipe other extremeties with? Thanks for the clarifications!

  12. I have actually watched a canadian documentary about this. And they said that they best way for people to show their support towards Jamaica's anti-gay attitude is to be a tourist there. If they choose to go, make sure that they are aware.

  15. I did a Group block and have had no problems, so far that is However the great thing about our TA is that the deposit we put down (minimum was for 10 ppl or 5 rooms) is that once those first 10 ppl are booked, she transfers the amount that we put down to our balance. So really it is us paying half our trip in advance. She also has stated that she is honouring our price for the next 2 months, so that everyone that puts a deposit down (even after our block is full) between now and then will have paid the same price. As for the rest, who knows...
