  2. for the RIU brides that have already gotten married... what advice do you have on the type of material for the bridesmaid dresses?? i was thinking chiffon and/ or a satin blend would be better.... also what would you suggest for the wedding gown.... i will need two bc im having a reception in my home town a week after we get back from Jamaica.

  4. i had my nightmare of living dress at home in closet and i was at the airport in new orleans which is 45 minutes away from the house. I woke up screaming .......of course the mate just looked at me like i was crazy..........
  5. Besides the pic provided, does anyone have extensive pics of their reception at seagrape, mammee bay restaurant, etc
  6. My agent is telling methat Valeria @ Riu stated 72 hours requirement before wedding. My agent states all other Jamaican weddings that she has done at other resorts follow Jamaican government requirement of 48 hours. We are still checking on this.
  7. Hi Ladies, I just joined the RIU bunch. My wedding will be Sept 27 2008. My agent has been in constant contact w/ Valeria.. how long does it take before Chandalyn contacts me? Also we are flying in on 25th but the resort says we need to be there by the 24th. has anyone had this problem w/ arrival requirements? Thanks
  8. I agree that we all need to stick together. We are making the final decisions to go with Riu for ceremony and travel to Couples San Souci the last 4 days of our honeymoon. Date is 9/27. I am still somewhat of a skeptic about the ceremony and the appearance of flowers, etc....
